Hello everyone!
We hope you are doing well as the year steadily comes to a close! This has been quite the year for the r/Twilight subreddit, with more than 185,000 active forum users, and more than 3 million engagements almost every month.
In response to several community requests, two new flairs have been enabled for public posts over the last month, which you may have noticed during their brief trial period: Cosplay Content, and FTF Forever Twilight in Forks.
The Cosplay Content flair allows you to showcase the hard work you have put into your costumes, but it does have caveats: this flair can only be used for video and photo posts, and Patreon, OnlyFans, or Kofi links are not allowed in their descriptions. Cosplay dedicated Instagram links are allowed. Each user may post a maximum of four Cosplay Content posts per calendar month.
The FTF Forever Twilight in Forks flair allows you to discuss the annual festival held in Forks Washington: it is not for any transactions, such as trading or selling tickets, or arranging carpools or roommate arrangements. This subreddit is, at the end of the day, anonymous, and the official Facebook group is where you should turn to if you need to connect with other festival goers in an identified manner. Please, do not ever agree to meet up with anyone you meet online who has not fully identified themselves to you. This subreddit is not responsible for your actions offline.
Four points of conversation have been added to the subreddit’s FAQ section, therefore removing them from the “frequently reposted” topic lineup. These points include “How can I tell what edition my book is?”, “How do Alice’s visions work, and who can she see?”, “Did Jacob only love Bella because of Renesmee?”, and “Why do the Cullens go to high school?”
Additionally, a subrule of Rule #2: Content must be high quality (valuable and constructive) [Quality], has been broken out into its own rule – Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]. While AI and LLM originated content has been banned under Rule #2 for quite some time, we find it has become necessary to separate this out as its own rule for the sake of public facing accountability. In recent months, the subreddit has been inundated with AI generated photo, video, and text posts, and it has become nigh impossible for the moderation team to sift out the true posts from the spam.
By separating out this rule, we are able to institute 7 day posting bans for repeat offenders, with permanent bans possible for particularly egregious offenders. This rule will extend to the Fanfiction and Meme subs. The exact text of Rule #13 will be as follows
Rule #13: All AI and LLM Content is Banned [Quality]
Banned posts include, but are not limited to:
Lastly, two reminders.
Information on the annual Subreddit Secret Santa will be released next week. Thank you for so thoroughly reading this notice.
All our best,
The r/Twilight Moderation Team

After rereading the books and rewatching the movies, I finally realised that Kristen Stewart's mouth opening and heavy breathing is actually a realistic response to high-stress, terrifying situations.
Throughout the Twilight books, Bella constantly stops breathing or forgets to breathe. Stephanie Meyer didn't write this to imply Bella has a medical condition. Instead, she used it as a dramatic device to emphasize just how overwhelmingly attractive Edward is to her. Every time he gets too close, touches her, or kisses her, Bella becomes so completely captivated and star-struck that her basic human functions seem to short-circuit.
We see this pattern continue as the stakes get higher. In New Moon, after Edward abandons her, she suffers from severe depression and near-paralysing panic attacks where she physically struggles to catch her breath. Later in Eclipse, Bella holds her breath out of pure terror, both during the tense tent scene while Edward and Jacob argue, and again during the brutal battle with Victoria and Riley.
In Midnight Sun, Edward pays hyper attention to everything Bella's body does. He describes her lips as parting and her breathing speeding up into short, heated gasps
In real life, when you stop breathing out of shock or fear, your body panics and the brain's automatic survival reflex forces your mouth wide open to gasp for air.
Kristen Stewart played Bella like a real human and manages to put this minor detail in. By keeping her mouth slightly open and maintaining that breathless demeanor, she perfectly captured exactly how a real human body handles intense adrenaline, panic, and shock. When you think about it even more, given the non-stop, terrifying chaos of her life, Bella's mouth realistically would have been open all the time.

Maybe too strong a title, but just something I've been thinking about
I feel like I always read on here and in other fandom places about how Esme isn't a strong fighter or is weaker in nature, but I'm rewatching the serise and man is that wrong. Girlie is holding her own in Eclipse, and she just rams into a wolf in breakdawn when it's going after Carlisle. Also, in Eclipse, she is pretty unafraid to talk back to the Volturi and defend Bree. That's not something you really see a lot in other vampires. She's a mama bear for sure.
Just wanted to shout out some of her maybe undervalued traits. Love that she's deeply kind and soft, but that same kindness gives her strength.

I knew how it ends, I'm sad anyway...
I don't know why it took me SO LONG to read it. It brought me new insights, more storytelling, and new Twilight stuff that brought tears to my eyes.
I could really see Bree as part of the Cullen coven. I'm even looking at some events in Eclipse differently now. Like in that final scene, when Edward whispers to her to close her eyes, I'm not even sure if he's talking to Bella or Bree anymore. Maybe both of them.
Oh, and the opportunities she had to leave (and live)! My heart just breaks for her. Fred gave her a way out, but love pulled her back, and it was such a tragedy that she followed it.
Even though she became a "god", she was still served as a "meal"... 😪
And it was such a refreshing way to view the Cullens, too. At times, I didn't even feel that usual sense of familiarity when reading them through Bree's eyes.
I dare say it's one of my favorite Twilight books now, at least better than Eclipse in my opinion. If you haven't read this book yet (not sure if anyone here is as stubborn as I was), I highly recommend it!

I was a big Twilight fan years ago, so this felt fantastic. Even though the series doesn’t hold the same place for me now, listening to the soundtracks while driving across the Olympic Peninsula brought back a lot of nostalgia—and the scenery was stunning. Exploring the filming locations and the Prop/Costume Collection turned out to be the strongest fan experience I’ve ever had. A couple of the pieces left me unsure whether they’d actually appeared on set or were just presented that way, but that didn’t stop me from being glad I made the trip.

Should’ve been the main couple instead of Bella and Edward really.
Like I legitimately would love to see how they’re relationship came to be and they are kinda just criminally underused in the movies. Especially Jasper.

i want to get a set of the books that all match, but for now i have my thrifted collection (minus a few bought new!)

This is my first time reading the saga, I (31F) was obviously around the hype and it did impact me through the movies. But I’d only seen the first two movies on premiere, now at 31 I’m reading the series for the first time and I have so many emotions. I’m about a 1/4th of the way through the third book and I’m so so sad that I’ve spent so much time not reading these. I wasn’t a big reader when I was a child. I got into reading at about 22/23.

Do we think that eventually Bella would change her parents into vampires so that they can live an immortal life with her and her family?
Do we think they would change Jacob eventually too? Werewolf Vampire 🧛🏻🐺✨
How do we think Renesme gets to interact with the world?

Did anyone else notice in BD PT 1, when Bella first speaks there’s a tinkling, bell-like sound accompanying her voice? I thought it might be a callback to the book, where she described her voice sounding like wind chimes.

These are just a few examples but does anyone know where i can find the full shoot of all characters from this photoshoot? I had looked on the Fandomwiki recently and there was a picture for Kachiri which looked like this shoot but she wasnt in the movie and its disappeared now. I'm assuming there's a twilight gallery somewhere?

I just watched this movie for the first time and I don't believe for a second Stephanie meyer didn't read this or watch the movie and draw some heavy inspiration for twilight. I know she claims she didn't but I call shenanigans.
Thoughts?

Okay first time posting on Reddit ever. But I (27 F) need to know if I’m weird for feeling this way 😅 I absolutely adore the Twilight movies just like any other Twilight lover. But sometimes, I avoid Twilight content, because it makes me both incredibly happy but sad at the same time. The happiness I feel when I see anything Twilight related can only be described as pure childlike joy ☀️ The sadness I guess can be explained as me being so engulfed into the story, I wish it were real. Anyway, I often find myself avoiding Twilight content as well because it makes me too happy? It like scares me how happy it makes me sometimes so I’ll scroll away from it. Idk if I’m even making sense. Please someone tell me I’m not crazy lol I’m not even like into all the intrigue details or lore of the movies. I don’t really care about that stuff. I just love the movies specifically as they are.

I’m doing a grief fuelled re-read of the series for the first time since I’ve been a teenager. Frontal lobe locked and loaded.
Now, I’m only on New Moon so there is plenty of time to change. But I’m really taken with Jacob this time round. When I was a teen I was die hard in love with Edward - pathologically so. This time I found his intensity less intoxicating and I love the kind of “normal” that Bella has with Jacob.
I think it’s also influenced by getting together with my friend after many years of on/off yearning. There’s something more attractive to me now about the familiar warmth versus that very dramatic, brooding thing Edward brings on the surface.
Anyone else having rethinks at different life stages?

Would anyone want to watch twilight with me? We can watch independently and just press play at the same time [:

I’d assume Reness is full grown. Maybe Bella and Edward work? Maybe they’re all going apple picking together. Idk. Tell me your thoughts!

Re-reading breaking dawn honeymoon scenes and Bella was genuinely so happy. Ever since she fell in love with Edward, she didn't see any huge reason to not turn into a vampire. For the first time, she was willing to delay vampirism for something: Sex. Despite being bothered about their age difference, she was ready to stay human for a bit longer.
Once he gives in the second time and they start making love for the next 2 days, she is so happy and Edward is happy too. It would have been so nice if they could have continued that (they even had plenty of headboards left) without the whole pregnancy putting a stop to their newly married bliss. They didn't even get a month to themselves. And I don't think they had sex after going back to forks during pregnancy.
Of course they again have sex after bella is turned into a vampire but at that time neither of them knew Bella would make it out alive. It's a shame that their honeymoon was cut short 🚬

I made a Twilight themed werewolf card game for my Halloween party! I was looking for something to play with my friends and I thought this could be fun, so I made a French version for myself and an English version to share ❤️
PDF LINK : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-cSIRmarLgPvAxMbSNd9FxBgNJjAW0hZ/view?usp=drive_link
The cards are 2.5x3.5 inch, perfect to stick on actual playing cards or some cardboard. I also made a top for the cards so they look more official.
The pictures are all from Google and aren't in high resolution, just chose the ones I thought were funny.

For years now I’ve been seeing people purposefully misspell Renesmee’s name as a joke, but why?
I honestly think the name is really cute so I’m not sure why there’s so many jokes surrounding it. Am I missing something? can someone pls explain lmao!!

It's autumn, I'm currently listening to both Twilight and Midnight Sun (I'm switching between the chapters) and feel like an excited teen again whenever Bella and Edward are having a moment. At first, I imagined Bella like a mix between Christina Ricci and Kristen Stewart but I wanted to draw her to have a more feasible image of her to imagine as I'm listening. I am not a professional artist or anything but it was fun and I might do Edward as well!
Oh and I know the angle is a bit odd, I confused myself there but I hope it still works
