I have tix to the game on Nov 1st, but purchased club seats through SeatGeek. I am interested in getting the native heritage scarf, but the official storefront site says "Must purchase ticket through this link to get scarf*" Assuming my club seats don't provide me with the scarf, does anyone know if the unique scarf is available to purchase onsite at the merch stands? Or is the only way to get it to actually by a ticket through the marketplace link?

So, dumb question: What is the reasoning behind not being allowed to bring in a completely empty, packed down, completely empty non-clear bag?

I was with my family downtown all afternoon before the last game. Took the Max in so we wouldn't have to park. We brought clear bag for the game. I didn't want to carry around the clear bag all afternoon so I brought a very lightweight backpack that folds into something the size of a grapefruit -- as in, a little bigger than the Timbers shoulder purse/bag things. Before entering I emptied and packed down the backpack into the clear bag with a scarf and water bottle. For me, this was totally in the spirit of compliance with the rules; not to deceive.

The bag checker at the front said "Nice try. You'll have to check it in the locker."

I'm sure this has happened to others.

I get why clear bags are better for safety and help streamline the security process. I just don't get why a non-clear bag packed down is a problem. So I'd feel better about it if I just understood the reasoning. If it's just for the sake of zero tolerance, I guess I'll accept that, but I'm expecting there's some other reason.

It also just sucks to have to check in a visibly empty bag in a locker for $15.

So I'll confess that I've been generally less critical of the FO than a lot of folks. It's a tough job and GMs are rarely popular even if they're good

But comparing Ned's years to his predecessor on the back of an envelope:

Ned - Average League Rank, 18. Average West Rank 9.7
Prior - Average League Rank 9.2. Average West Rank 4.8.

It's a little unfair in the comparison as the league expands, but there is no question that under Ned the team has dramatically slipped to the bottom of the league.

There was a time opponents would come to Portland and Bunker hoping to walk away with points. Nobody has reason to be scared of the team Ned has assembled.

I heard T2 was going to announce the date on Monday but saw this photo come across social media. Guessing they will be playing next Sunday 10/25 - 7pm at home?? Looking forward to it!!

It's too early to be talking about the off-season, but since we already are, how do you think we should approach it and how do you think the team will actually approach it?

Keep in mind that, on one one hand, this team needs some serious help, and on the other, next year is really 2 distinct seasons. I think there is a good argument for wanting to make big changes soon--both to stem the tides of suck and to give time for things to gel and develop--but, it also seems like we need to reserve capacity to build in the summer for the next full 27-28 campaign.
