I've decided to not say anything to him. I do not think he is sexually harrassing me or my boyfriend. I think he's just a weird old man who is just awkard lol. We still plan to move into the townhouse, yes, even knowing that we will have a weird landlord.

He is the landlord (owener of the townhome) but there is a company that actually oversees the property and does the maintenance. I do not pay him directly. Also I mispoke. The "water sensors" are "leak sensors". Which (as a former plumber), I know are real things. However, prior to moving in, I will be checking those sensors and also be checking everywhere for cameras.

Yes, I am in school, but I am not a young 20 year old. I'm 28 and a veteran, so I have some life expierence. We live in a hostel and a day ago my VERY GOOD friend found a newly hatched river turtle and started keeping in a bucket with half inch water and a leaf . The room get pretty cold due to the AC and the turle was tinyy with no plans on how to feed it , clean it , filtration, any proper place ORR ANYTHING IN GENERAL , the guy is also extremely lazy and careless so i knew sooner or later the turtle would did in the cold or starvation or living in its noxious shit water.

I was literally worried it wont survive the night but he wont let me release it back into the lake where e found it. He played with the turlte like a hot wheel car and a fidget spinner the whole night pretty much. It did survive the night and when he went to class i released it back .

I then texted him that i released it and he yelled at me on call saying he'll break my ass etc and i yelled back-----then these texts occurred.

Mind ya'lls this is not some random roomate but my veryy good friend and hence i could not tolerate the callous attitude whatsoever. If it were some rando i wouldnt have intervened. This guy also tried to use against me my vulnerability which i told him cos i thought it was a safe space .

I swear i did the right thing.

Tl'dr -- stopped best friend from abusing turtle hence releasing it and he threatened physical violence and disrespected me

A little context: I broke up with my ex last week, and I feel nothing for her. I have never hated anyone more in my life. When I left her, all the feelings I had disappeared. She was emotionally, physically, and psychologically abusive.

I was going through my camera roll from last year and found these. I don't know why I put up with this for so long.

Photo one is when she wanted me to delete my PlayStation account due to me speaking to my friends on it. I ended up asking for it to be deleted, but fortunately Sony's system glitched and my account was saved.

The second photo is about my late brother's watch. She wanted me to break it due to it making her uncomfortable. She used his death repeatedly to hurt me over and over again. I ended up faking breaking it and then hid it.

The third photo is an example of her mocking my brother.

I am very ashamed that I put up with this and let her say these things. When I look back, I feel pathetic, and now I am just left feeling so disappointed and angry at myself.

Her excuse for this, you are probably wondering? Well, for her it was anxiety, and her not liking that I spoke to a girl two years before her. Good riddance

We (33m and 29f) had dated a little over 3 years prior to this exchange.

She did make the first year of the relationship a struggle. Every milestone we hit, every progress we made, she would get cold feet and express wanting to break up. I stuck through it until she eventually trusted me enough. And we dated for the next 2 years without much drama.

Middle of last year, she started to have some health issues. Mostly to do with anemia. Her lack of energy made her avoidant tendencies come back out. She would get pissed for no reason, and say things that hurt me a lot. We were out for dinner one night, celebrating her work promotion. She didn’t like the food much and the restaurant was loud, and she was pissed all through the dinner. Made us leave early, and just threw a fit in the car. I figured she’d be okay the next day, but two days later she told me she wanted to break up. And that was that. This was Nov of 2025.

I went no contact, but she called me a month later crying that she started to feel dizzy while on the metro, and if I could pick her up. I went and got her, dropped her off to an appointment and then drove her home after.

That incident gave us as excuse to re-connect. We started hanging out as if we were dating but without having the talk. She seemed more calm, more comfortable.

But it all came crashing down during another dinner a few months later. We were out at a restaurant, where the service ended up being very slow. She also expressed to me that she was contemplating moving to a city 5 hour flight away because of her perceived lack of work opportunities in our city. And I didn’t have a good reaction to it. So she accused me of limiting her world or doubting her abilities. I apologised and let her know that I’m her biggest supporter, and that I love her and it’s my hurt reacting to learning that she might move far away.

The date night was ruined, and I drove her home. And that was that. She messaged me the next day telling me she was sorry about overreacting. I told her I just needed some time to myself, and would be good for us to take a small break from each other.

The above was the last message she sent me, before she blocked me off everywhere. It’s been 9 months since that, and I still miss her. Have put myself out on dating apps, but I sadly keep trying to find her in the people I meet. And it’s killing me.

Edit: Yes my parents are on the phone with the police. I wasn’t thinking straight I froze and just wanted him to go away and didn’t think about calling the police until I told my parents and they started calling. I am safe and okay.

Edit #2: I just learned she gave him my address because he asked for one and she didn’t want to reveal where she was. And no I don’t have any of his stuff nor do I have any way of forcing her to give his stuff back.

i miss my dad🩶. fuck brain cancer. he was really amazing. every single person who knew him was charmed by his genuine, down-to-earth, witty-as-all-hell personality. he was totally hilarious and the way he and i would riff off each other was the most fun thing i've ever experienced. nothing - and i mean nothing - was better than getting a phone call from my dad. we were giddy every time we were around each other in person. i am sooooooo fortunate to have known him and even more so to have had him as my "old man."

this is a span of like10-15 min. mind we just started “talking” again at this point 2 hours ago. i’m doing better with calling people out and owning up to my mistakes but this..lol i’m like dude said sorry for your lost and then boom..

I went on one date with this guy back in July before moving for school. I met him through Hinge (which I’ve since deleted), and I ghosted him because he was constantly texting and calling me. I know, I shouldn’t have given him my number, but he seemed cool before the date. After this date, I felt uncomfortable because he was trying to kiss me, and he didn’t look like his photos. He kept trying to call and FaceTime me through different numbers, leaving voicemails. He then found my sister on Facebook and started spamming her with messages, asking whether I’m “safe” and that he’s “worried about me” because I hadn’t answered him. At that point, I blocked him, but he kept trying to contact me. He found my LinkedIn and left horrible messages, sent me $6 on cash app to try and message me, then requested it back angrily. It’s now October, and I got this message.

he cheated on me, sent our tapes to people, told me to sh, etc. He still to this day YEARS later keeps following me and tries to stay in contact EDIT: YES i blocked him several times, he was messaging off different numbers.

9 months later this is still the last time we spoke. I’m 23. It sucks constantly hearing my whole life how he should’ve done better but never seeing him try. He says he “should’ve” as if I don’t still need a dad. He started over with 2 new daughters and I hope they don’t go through the same thing.

Got these messages today after reaching out. Admittedly, I have been working a LOT lately and haven't really been as active as I could be, but the communication has been there EVERY day. For context, we've been talking via text for just over a week. He lives on the other side of the state and we were planning to meet in the middle on Saturday. And like I told him... I'm not actively talking to anyone or making plans. This was so out of left field. Maybe he just didn't want to drive the 2 hours to meet me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some guy was selling a portable baptismal on Facebook Marketplace for $1,100. I asked a reasonable question, and he apparently did NOT appreciate my attention to detail. He blocked me immediately following this exchange 😭

This person was a very close friend of mine and I know they're not doing very well right now (hence the "no pressure to reply" in my first message). I was worried that cutting contact with everyone was a red flag for suicidal behaviour, but I was able to speak to someone who also knows this person who assured me that they've reached out to mental health services so at least I don't have that weighing on me.

I don't know. I'm hurt and angry but I don't feel like I have any right to be.

EDIT: I was not expecting this to get the amount of comments that it has. I posted just hoping for a bit of reassurance that I'm not a shitty person for feeling upset and angry at something that I know isn't really this friend's fault. I (43F) dropped a couple of live platy fish off at home tonight to my daughter (who needs them for her aquatic science class tomorrow) before heading to the ATM. She came to my car door to get them, then looked up at the roof above my head like 😳, and went "Omg roll your window up, roll your window up!" I immediately started rolling it up while going "IS IT A ROACH???" And she goes "Yes and it's HUGE!" 😱 She backed away, declined to go find the Raid, and called out that the roach would just get blown off as I drove to the bank, then went back inside. ☹️ Very unhelpful.

What if it didn't blow off on the way to the bank? What if it was still there and it got on me when I put down my window at the ATM, or climbed into my car? I would have a heart attack and die immediately. So instead I went to the Pappasito's next to my bank, placed a small order, and they legit sent the lady out with my seafood enchiladas and a handful of napkins to get the nasty thing off my car. She was so short she had to stand on the curb to see onto my roof, but thankfully it was gone. Pappasito's and that nice lady are the real MVPs.
