How does a single part cost more than the whole laptop ?
For context I went to Best Buy to have them repair a laptop I’ve had for only a year. They were pretty sure it was a battery problem along with a screen issue. They sent it to the factory and told me they would call me when they figured out what it would cost to repair it. A week went by before they called saying. “ your laptop was sent back to the store due to the part they would need to replace costing more then the whole laptop “
So not only do a still have a broken laptop; I was basically told it would be cheaper to buy a new one. Does this make sense or are they trying to just sell me another laptop ?
