PR/PB Bench and Squat max testing

Bench went up a lot cause I didn't bench for a couple months before 325 or for about 7 months after. OHP Gang.

Squat went up 10lbs, I tested a couple months ago so there wasn't a lot of time for it to grow. I don't normally like maxing this frequently but I did an easier and shorter program in between my normal one to let some stuff heal up.

OHP and Deadlift are later this week

Lift A great start!

A great start to the block! Some notes from my last deadlift training block-

-I overshot a few training sessions aha paid for it later.
-Too many compound accessory movements
-Not enough rowing/hinge movements

So I took out a few things and added stuff like seated good mornings and row variation. But starting out strong on week 1 day 1 is a good sign! Here’s to the next 8 weeks.

Comp deadlift: 475 2x2

Form Check Why do I lose position on deadlifts?

I’ve tried chest up, down. Hips, drive through big toe. Long arm, tight lats. Consistently I lose my back/hip position getting off the floor on near maximal deadlifts

Lift 455 x 4 (Tolerance up to 65% on this lift after back injury)

Herniated a disc sometime like 4sh months ago, pain hit shortly after a tumble on a bike when a car clipped me. Slowly gaining my day to day ability back and pain tolerance through ranges of motion and movements.

Haven't put a belt on in forever and started somewhere around 20% on most loads and only continued increases if pain didn't go past a 3/10 per spine doctor and PT direction.

Form Check Is this enough depth on squats?

I read that squat is supposed to be below parallel to the knees, but this is this lowest i can go, i don't think this is below parallel and i can't physically squat any lower. What can be done?

Lift DL 505lbs x1 and 455lbs x2 using Hook Grip at 180lbs and 51yo

Saturday morning’s lift was three weeks after my last lifting session due to three weeks working in Norwich, NY on three machine upgrades. I even lost 6lbs of body weight, coming in at 180lbs Saturday morning upon waking. This was due to mostly eating meals, like sandwiches, I made from the grocery store. I rarely ate at restaurants while traveling this time. I do miss enjoying the local cuisine, but I don’t miss the over consumption and added weight. I also made sure to get in steps with walking the neighborhood before breakfast and after supper, in addition to the walking I got at work.

Time off without lifting? No worries, the strength didn’t leave me (I did not even have a hotel gym); I was still able to pull an easy 455lbs x2 and a tough 505lbs x1. The one thing I notice with extended time off is that my supporting structure, like upper back strength, is lost a bit; the 505lbs showed that as I couldn’t hold exact position.
This was a Power Metal morning while listening to Gloryhammer, Unleash the Archers, and others.
