Shrimp is bugs! Survival of the shrimpiest
Two weeks ago I ordered some extra süßwassertang* for my kuhli and neocaridina tank for ground coverage and the seller kindly popped in a few bonus plants. Within one of the packets was a crystal bee caridina tucked into the plant that somehow had survived being packaged up without water and two days in the post during cold weather. No acclimatisation as she was in no water (and I panicked), I decided to plop and drop her into a dish of tank water to see if she was alive, and then into the neo tank and hope she survived. I don't keep caridina so nothing set up with caridina parameters.
Found her today, she's surviving so far despite the parameters being not soft enough for her. I suspect she is ruling over the neos.
Pic 1 after I found her as I opened the plants, pic 2 plop and drop into the tank and pic 3 the glorious sighting I've just had. Been looking out for her since the scary day she unexpectedly arrived!!
