I don't remember how I got confused, but I've believed Land Rover was a Toyota series/line for 20 years. Since other car companies like Ford and Chevy use entirely different branding for Mustang and Corvette, I thought Toyota did the same thing with Land Rover.

But nope. I watched a James May video (yesterday, technically), and it turns out Land Rover is and has always been a British brand, having fuck all to do with Toyota.
