Between youtube videos, food influencers and just random stops I've visited a lot of restaurants on ventura blvd stretching from Calabasas to universal city and out of 100-150 or so in the last 10 years maybe 5 of them I was blown away by the food and went back a second or third time but most of the time I was barely satisfied and then just felt underwhelmed.

Around 2 AM last night, I heard knocking on my apartment door in Studio City.
It low-key freaked me out, so I stayed up for a while. I have the Citizen app, and other people were talking about hearing knocking on their doors around the same time (?).
Apparently it had something to do with a plane backfiring or something? Does anybody know what I’m talking about?

Caught this dude in traffic today. Completely driving on the wrong side of the road in the oncoming lanes to bypass the backup. From the looks of the existing body damage on his car's hood, I'm guessing patience isn't his strong suit, and this is a regular habit, unfortunately.

I am a journalism student at CSUN. I live in East Hollywood and so I am unfamiliar with SFV neighborhoods. I am doing homework for one of my Senior Project class. For this assignment, I need to photograph every single neighborhood of San Fernando Valley and I need to take photos that show scale in comparison to people. All 34 neighborhoods.

If you guys can, please write in the comments, the places I should definitely go and photograph. I need them to be recognizable or popular hot spots if possible if not what are other good places to photograph for this assignment.

Anyone questioning what is being done to control the pooled water at the Woodland Hills mega development?

I live in the north Valley, GH/Northridge. I've been looking for a grocery store that carries fresh rice noodles that are either not cut or cut very wide (12mm or larger) for making Pad See Ew at home.

I've been to Island Pacific Seafood and Galleria, checked local Ralph's and Vons and cannot find it anywhere besides making the drive to 99 Ranch in Van Nuys. I haven't checked Mitsuwa yet but figured it's unlikely since Japanese food doesn't typically use those types of noodles afaik. Just curious to get a collective sense for folks who regularly shop at Asian Grocery Stores and compile a thread where you can't find something at an Asian market because obviously, Asian is a very large description.

Has anyone else eaten at OK Chinese. It's such a marvelous place. A mountain of food for an amazing value and their staff are always so nice. It's wonderful to see them inspiring local artists like this. It's a great painting and I love that they hung out on their wall.

I’m thinking of moving up here potentially in December/January if I get the job. Anyone know where I can find decent/cheap rent whether it’s an apartment or even just a room with its own bathroom space. Or any good websites where I can find something in this area ? Preferably closer to sylmar that upper part of SFV.

Hi everyone.

My vet today stated that my dog has a complicated issue for his teeth and needs an oral surgeon/dentist/specialist to perform extractions.

They gave me a referral to the "dog and cat dentist" (dr. Tsugawa) in woodland hills/culver city. Seeking other potential referrals because

1. They do not have a consult available until November 30 and

2. while the reviews for Culver City location are good the reviews for The Woodland Hills location are not great.

I have also seen people on here say that they are very expensive. So just seeking other possible alternatives. Thank you.

What were the two loud explosions I just heard? (It’s 1:45 am and we live in Van Nuys near Sherman Oaks.) I don’t think they were fireworks because there was no crackling afterwards. It was just one loud boom and then another a few minutes later.
