For those of you who don't know I am a caricaturist here in the Valley. I have shown up to various community events, markets, etc. in the Valley. Over the years I have come across a handful of people from Reddit. I know one person showed up to the 818 Night Market one Saturday. Another went to the Northridge Farmers' Market. Another was at an Easter event and a carnival. One was also at a Reseda Art Festival this past July. I did a wedding for one couple from Reddit and also did a LA Comic Con for their start up company. Whether you supported me morally or monetarily I want to thank you! I know encountering Redditors out in the wild is usually rare for me but to those who make themselves known and encourage me. I've been feeding a feral cat for about a year. He's very comfortable in my yard, and he tolerates me while I'm feeding him, but he's shredded my hand the few times I've tried to pet him. I'm pretty sure he was hit by a car. I set up a dog crate for him and put food and water in it, but he has zero interest. I tried to coral him, but it stresses him out too much, and I don't want to make his injuries any worse. I've been sitting out here for a couple hours trying to figure out what to do. Cat lovers of SFV, please help me if you can. He needs veterinary attention, but I'm in over my head.

I recently took my Chevy in to one of the dealers in the area for some warranty work. They had my car for a week, no loaner cars so I had hassle with rental reimbursement. As soon as I drove it off the service drive I saw that the issue was not resolved. I'd rather not take it back to the same one since they have not resolved it. Does anyone know which of the Chevy dealers local to SFV have a competent service department?

There was a gun scare today and they mishandled it completely. Any parents on here with more information?

They didn’t notify parents for an hr, called off the threat then when parents got upset they called the cops back and FOUND an airsoft gun?! Kid was showing gun off online and at nearby McDonalds. Then proceeded to brag about dumping the weapon to other kids. I’m scared shitless 🥲 Why aren’t they taking this more seriously? Has the kid had consequences? What will they do to ensure this doesn’t turn into a tragedy. The school clearly has no process in these cases and the kids are at risk. My plan is to go talk to principal tomorrow morning. Any extra info or advice is greatly appreciated.

Anyone have recommendations on dentist offices that they trust? I’ve had too many bad experiences with greedy doctors who charge me crazy prices behind my back. I’m new to SFV and need to find a new office. TIA

I'm teaching the wife how to drive and wondering if theres a place around SFV to practice parallel parking thats very beginner friendly.

Many years ago back in Guam, there was spot with two HUGE tires that was perfect to practice parallel parking. I'm looking for something similiar as practicing with small cones or with actual cars is a bit of a challenge.

Looking to get recommendations for medium-deep level CO2 laser work done in the SFV or on the Westside.

Please let me know if there are any recommendations for reputable doctors performing that work.!

I planned on replacing my rear pads today (2011 Odyssey) but one of my caliper bolts has a stripped head I can't get to budge.

I appreciate that conceptually SCE is trying to be transparent and current with their communications about a potential PSPS. However, I'm getting simultaneous emails, calls, and texts from them quite literally at all hours of the day and night. This is absolutely unnecessary, and most of the updates are simply different versions of the same thing. Sorry for the rant, but one "we might need to shut off your power" warning and (if it happens) one "we're going to shut off your power" warning should be completely sufficient.
