What’s everyone’s opinion?
Did you submit any questions online? If so, were they read ?
I felt it was lame like the last one. I submitted 4 and 0 were read.

There's something weird happening in the bathrooms. Every time I go in there's someone standing at the paper towel dispenser taking the whole roll. Where are they storing them? What do they use them for? Did they lose a bunch of money and this is how they recoup their losses? Is it a luck thing? I know Graton doesn't skimp on the paper towels. They are so luxurious, drying you hands so well. But damn!?! I just don't get it.

Hey everyone,
I’m hoping to get some recommendations or advice from people who may have been in a similar situation. I’m currently looking for a new place to live, but I’m facing a significant obstacle with my credit. My credit score is currently around 450–500 due to some recent financial hardships.
It’s been an incredibly difficult year. Between medical circumstances, the end of a relationship, and a death in the family, I’ve had a lot happen in a relatively short period of time. Unfortunately, these events have taken a significant toll on my finances and credit.
Despite this, I have stable employment, solid and verifiable income, and an excellent rental history. I’ve maintained positive relationships with my previous landlords, all of whom are willing to provide references and vouch for me as a tenant.
My current landlords are unfortunately having to sell the property I’m living in due to financial hardships of their own, which means I now find myself needing to relocate during an already challenging time.
I’m actively working to rebuild my credit and improve my financial situation. I understand that credit is an important consideration when renting, but I’m hoping to find a landlord or property management company willing to look at the bigger picture, including my income, rental history, and references.
Does anyone know of apartment communities, smaller property management companies, or private landlords in the area who would be willing to work with someone in my situation? I’m particularly interested in places that consider individual circumstances rather than relying exclusively on a credit score.
I’m not looking for financial assistance or special treatment. I’m simply hoping to find a fair opportunity to secure a home and continue moving forward.
I’d genuinely appreciate any recommendations, personal experiences, or leads anyone would be willing to share.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Any recs for someone who can cut a granite countertop? I want to replace my gas cooktop but the current cutout in granite countertop is too small. Need to trim about an inch on each side. Wall oven is installed below cooktop.

Woke up to house filled with intense smoke smell and the purple air map shows really horrible air quality centered in Santa Rosa … I know the Cooley Fire is currently in the Mendo border, but is there a local fire nearby that may have started overnight ? Maybe this is just the smoke from Cooley that’s moved down, but just weird that it’s centralized in Santa Rosa so I just wanted to make sure. I checked the watch duty app and the Sonoma cal fire website and socials and don’t see anything.

Hi! Wondering if any parents here have had their kids in any of the local non-public schools and if you can tell me about your experiences with them. My child is being referred to them and we are doing tours. Hoping to hear from someone with personal experience either staff or students.

Wondering if anyone else here attended the Southern Fried Vegan BBQ pop up at Moonlight Brewing yesterday 10/18/26 and can agree that the food was highly overpriced ($30.00 a PLATE) and to add insult to injury was terrible. The first photo is what we were promised. A delicious looking plate of plant based bbq. The second is what we got. A tasteless, dry overpriced plate of who knows what. They only took cash or Venmo too which adds to the sketchiness of the whole situation. Anyone else go to this and was your experience similar?

Another FLOCK/ALPR meeting tonight at the fairgrounds. If you have two hours to spare from 6p-8p tonight, you can do your community some good just by showing up - and the more people who show up the better.
Here is a post-mortem post from u/Silly_Rub_6304 (I hope they don't mind me re-sharing) about the last big meeting with the city council on FLOCK/ALPR cameras. I thought it was very enlightening.

Here is a post from last week from Cecilia Sofranko, the Vice Chair of the Commission on Human Rights (This Commission is hosting the event afaik):

She answers some basic questions in the thread.
Hope to see some of you tonight! I'll be driving over from Sebastopol if anyone needs a ride.

28M transplant here - I moved here a year ago for a job, but all my friends are still just coworkers. I am hoping to expand out a bit. I am an engineer and live with a cat + 2 plants. My interests are video games, some tabletop/boardgames, and small engineering/programming projects. Also into reading!
I already joined the meetup group for people in their 20s and 30s, but I have TWTh nights blocked off, so I can’t join their Tuesday trivia nights :(, but I’d be open to any other ones or other activities to meet people around my age or anything else to get out and about.
