planning to get in there 2028 feb. honestly i have no idea what any university is like. all i know is RMIT offers opportunity to practice as well. i'm planning to do the bachelor of laboratory science (honours). I have no flippin idea how the exams work either. my school (i'm from sri lanka) mostly is exam based. Is it hard to get in?. i have no idea man.I did look at the website but i feel the websites are there to glaze the uni, My brothers live in australia but i'd rather jump into a shark infested sea than ask them anything. please help

I tried to vent this morning, and this was the response from this subreddit. I wrote my first post in anger because it’s tacked another six months onto my degree. I was looking for support. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. Just what I needed on the day I found out that I’m going to fail a unit!

I have an exhibition tomorrow and I’m trying to work out if it’s like a fancy thing or not. Like what’s the dress code? Can I just wear something casual or do I need to dress up a little

Has anyone been in the situation where they’ve failed a course/class but retaken the class and was able to pass? Is there any way to have only one of the grades contribute to your WAM? What would be the protocol for this?

From what I’ve read, both grades from the failed and passed class will contribute to your WAM but has anyone been able to successfully appeal this with the university or do I just need to accept defeat? Any advice would be appreciated

just wondering what wam people got into rmit medical imaging with 😭

i keep seeing completely different answers and at this point idk what to believe. some people say high 80s, others say low 80s is fine and there’s barely anyone talking about people in the 70s.

if you got an offer, what was your wam and what year did you get in? also were you transferring from another uni?

would appreciate honest answers, even if it’s not what i wanna hear lol

Year 12 student here. I want to do a Bachelor of Creative Writing with a focus on literary studies, but I also want to do electives or join clubs that will help me pick up media skills - such as photography, videography, photojournalism, film and television, audio, that kind of thing. Is there any way I can learn both creative writing and media?

I'm deciding between this, and the Bachelor of Arts at unimelb with a major in CW and minor/double major in Media and Comms. But I don't like how unimelb's media course is so focused on theory and writing and not practical skills.

hey so i’m a first year Elec Engineer student and i’m about to finish my first year but was wondering if there is any projects im supposed to do that will give me a head start with my portfolio and actually be helpful in terms of getting an internship. Also if there is anyone looking for people to join them in doing a project over this holiday I would be more than happy to join. Thanks 🙏.

Just noticed this today, don't think i have ever seen one in there before, no stool tho :(
