Discussion How depraved am I?
So I robbed the Appleseed lumber company payroll stagecoach. After rolling the wagon to block the stagecoach I then got up on the railroad bridge and when the stagecoach stopped, I started hurling fire bottles from the bridge down onto the stagecoach, burning everything alive, including the horses, except for a couple of the guards who I managed to nail in the ensuing shootout. Of all the ways I could’ve solved that mission, I went a pretty dark route. Anybody else do anything particularly depraved in the course of the game that they’d like to share?

Discussion Why did the make Tilly and Arthur’s goodbye so sad
It’s one of the few moments in the game that made me tear up (i’m not very sensitive but i thought it was just so sweet) but it feels so random, because I feel like they never showed Tilly and Arthur’s closeness in missions or even in camp very often. I feel like Mary-Beth would’ve made more sense for a goodbye, at least in my experience in the game. It felt like Tilly was such a random character to give such a sad bittersweet scene too.

Spoiler I feel as if i ruined this game, i will do gta 6 right. Spoiler
I fell in love with red dead redemption 2 from the moment i started colter, i loved it so much to the point that i played on a hard plastic chair with a pc that froze for half a second or more regularly.
I really took my time with the first half of the game, i spent many hours exploring, doing side quests. I reached 50 hours a while before hosea died.
I was spoilt online, which prompted me to rush through the remaining story, before anyone else could take any more of it away from it.
I completely missed arthurs redemption, anything that wasnt essential i didnt play. My final ride was sadly silent. I finished with middling honour, barely on the positive side. Turns out that the only person who can truly take away the impact of rdr2 is yourself.
If only i could have one more chance with this game. I hope gta 6 lives up to everything it could be. This is going to be the last rockstar game for a while. I ended red dead redemption 2, epilogue and all, with about 75 hours.

Discussion How's your experience so far with the nemesis system mod for RDR2?
Literally everywhere I see people talking about this mod, I hadn't seen a mod blow up this much in a while. I tried it for a bit and it didn't seem that in depth (as in, if i didn't actively look for what the mod does then i wouldn't notice many differences). However I had to travel so I couldn't try it out for more than an hour.
For those who've been using it for longer than me, is it good? does it get old or shallow after a few hours or is it an actual impressive mod?

Video John teaches 2 brats a lesson
When those two brats lure John into an alleyway, you can see on the left someone was hiding against the wall so it's obviously a trap.
Little did they know, John gave those two kids a ticket immediately to the afterlife including the 3 robbers. The funniest part is that they are broke asf when I loot their bodies 😭🙏

Discussion Do you think Undead Nightmare is canon?
I think it takes place after the main game because a lot of stuff does not make sense in it like when u beat it if it is really a dream John is supposed to wake up from it and not continue it

Discussion I can't believe there's not an official option to shoot in normal speed after having marked enemies in dead eye
This would have been so cool to see our character rapidly shoot enemies in normal speed...

Spoiler What is the title of the last mission Spoiler
I have tried to avoid spoilers but I unfortunately found out what happens to Arthur. (I don't know specifics i just know he dies) But I really want to play the most as him, so i was wondering what the name of the story mission that starts the events that lead to it. I just want the name with no other spoilers so I can pause the story for a bit and just play side missions and come back when I'm ready
Spoilers are for the end of RDR2!

PSA OpenRevolver - The First Ever Red Dead Revolver Mod Manager | Mod PlayStation 2 games like it's a modern PC RPG.
OPENREVOLVER MOD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
-------
Architectural Overview:
• Implements an OpenMW-style Virtual File System (VFS) redirection paradigm.
• Bypasses traditional brute-force file replacement by writing a dynamic,
priority-ordered JSON manifest (openrevolver_vfs.json) directly inside
the GameRoot directory without duplicating source assets.
• Handles persistent user configurations via local storage paths to ensure
strict immunity against Windows permission errors.
• Features a custom dark-styled graphical user interface complete with bitmap window icon bindings (icon.ico), high-contrast listbox load order controls, explicit ISO container mapping, and automated runtime process spawning.
------
The Mod Manager is not going to be available yet, but I'm aiming to make it capable of running mods similarly to OpenMW through PCSX2. Bringing the Red Dead Revolver modding scene, an engine capable of running overhauls, New Levels/Modes for Showdown, bringing it from max players of 4 to a maximum of 34.
We're also aiming for more compatibility towards overhauls, gameplay changes, cheats, and for people to change the game completely towards something more open-world like Red Dead Redemption instead of loading screens between each mission.
These are just a few ideas that with this Mod Manager will be made possible.

Discussion Reached Chapter 4 in my but it feels so dull & gloomy, can I go back to Ch2 areas?
So I reached Chapter 4 beginning in 30 hours. I feel bad cuz I should’ve taken it slow. I miss the greenery of Chapter 3 & Chapter 2, I actually miss Chapter 2 because the lighting was so warm & everyone seemed happy. Not to mention I’ve been spoiled already about the ending. I only made a save in Chapter 3(somewhere in the middle) & now I’m in Chapter 4.
So my question is, can I go back to the Chapter 2 areas like Valentine etc, to do side missions, hunting, for clothes etc.? Or should I do it on my second playthrough(but it’s also possible I don’t have enough time for 2nd playthrough)

Discussion The Count walks through camp right after receiving Fishing w/ Jack mission - scripted?
Thought it was a glitch but I reloaded twice and confirmed Dutch’s white horse crosses in front of Arthur like this every time after he receives the mission from Abigail.
Do ya’ll think this might be intentional? Especially as this is where Arthur is about to go and meet the Pinkertons - possibly a reference to Death’s white horse/a sign of his and the gang’s upcoming demise?

Discussion I already knew the game’s plot before I found out Spoiler
As a player of RDR1 and someone who has played rdr1 before rdr2 came our, I knew that the “villians” were dutch bill and javier. If you look at missions from rdr2 as you play its pretty easy to predict that micah will be the villain because he is involved with bill or javier in doing some BS like for example when arthur knew it was either bill or micah who led them into the fight where sean died.

Screenshot A dog came to camp
I'm in chapter 3, I didn't know you could own dogs in RDR2. I've met plenty in town, but assumed you can't own any of them like horses.
This is so cute, Jack has his own dog🥺😍
