Raisins don’t belong in potato salad
That’s why I don’t eat at everybody’s home. Potato salad is not meant to have raisins in it 😡

Kevin heart has been consuming copious amounts of Lyme resonance in an attempt to astral project himself into the hexagonal storm on Saturn. He has purchased plum island to raid the former animal disease center laboratory for its reserve of synthetic Lyme disease if he gets his hand on the stockpile his kundalini will fully awaken allowing his soul to leave his physical body. Once he reaches Saturn he will dives into the depths of the storm in order to return the Homerlan which allows him to use the lesser key of Solomon to its full potential. Once he arrives back on earth he will free jabal from his sigil prison and force him to preform the York rite ritual, increasing Kevin’s height by 0.4 inches. The extra gravity from his newly gained mass will cause Ton 618 the largest known black hole in the known universe to be pulled directly to earth. Before it reaches earth it will collide with the belt of the constellation Orion alerting the Mintakan starseed which will proceed to collapse the mass of the black hole to a digestible size. Jabal will trvael to Mintaka in order to barter for the consumable black hole ultimately sacrificing Martin sheen once obtained Kevin heart will consume this black hole allowing himself to obtain a heart of 8 feet which he will use to set the new world record for the 400 meter sprint he will then retreat to a cave at the summit of Mount Makalu to live out the rest of his 800 year lifespan.

ugh. don't want to hear about it. just want to crawl under the blankets and pretend nothing matters.
I don’t even know where to start, but I am filled with so much pure, unadulterated rage and hatred for this man that I feel like my brain is going to short-circuit. I am venting here because I refuse to keep dumping this entire mental load onto my partner, who already has to live in this psychological torture chamber every single day.
My partner works on a tiny three-person team: his boss, my partner, and one other coworker. This boss is the biggest, most hateful, miserable asshole I have EVER met.
The guy sits on his ass all day texting people, messing around, BSing, and running off to do random personal errands—meanwhile, he yells, berates, and verbally abuses his team, calling them names the second a small mistake is made. He is a massive misogynist, racist, bigoted POS who literally owns Nazi gear (absolute shocker, right? I mean, I know he is a history buff, but like read about it, don’t BE about it). He also doesn’t believe in mental health or mental illness, which is peak irony because he has the most severe, unchecked psychological issues on the planet. He ignores his own kid's clear signs of needing help, too.
On top of all that, I know for a fact he steals from the company, but hides it well enough to not get caught because he didn’t at their place prior. Also because he acts like such an aggressive bully, everyone just walks on eggshells around him and don’t want to go through the unnecessary effort of going to battle with him (GOD I wish I could be the one to rip him a new one … a person can dream)
Naturally, he hates my guts. Because of that, my partner practically has to hide our relationship at work. He couldn't even tell his boss that we went on our most recent vacation together, because if he did, the boss would have made getting time off an absolute nightmare. My partner can't even share basic updates about our life or talk about me without feeling like he's walking into a trap. It hurts so much knowing my partner has to hide parts of us just to get through his work week.
The petty control is UNREAL. Last year, we went to their company Christmas party. My partner was dealing with a knee issue and my heels were slowly killing me, so we left a little early (we are also people who go to bed at like 9:30PM soooo staying out late is totally not our late-twenty something thing hahaha). We walked around, checked things out, and danced a couple of times (this was the highlight of *our* night because we got other people to come dance too and it really lifted the atmosphere since no one was dancing lol). The boss and his wife, and a couple other coworkers just stuck to themselves as wallflowers the whole night anyway (I assume judging us from afar), and my partner didn't care about hanging out with them – I checked with him three times before we left for the night on if he wanted to say goodbye to them, but his knee was bothering him so much that we just dipped. But fast forward to this year? The boss actually asks my partner, "Are you going to the Christmas party, and if you do, can you come ALONE?" My partner dodged it and told him he had better things to do, but it's so obvious the boss thinks I'm the problem (he is fully convinced himself that I am some evil mastermind ruining everything).
I want this man's absolute demise. I hate feeling this powerless. I hate how his existence bleeds into our relationship and stresses us out.
How do you deal with this level of consuming hatred for someone who holds so much sick control over your partner's daily life? Has anyone dealt with a boss this completely deranged, and how did your partner finally escape/how did you help them manage? (p.s., his boss has been in the industry/in this area for a while and has threatened he would blackball him from this industry which is why he has a fear of leaving after becoming such a strong & capable person in his role)

I'm currently in my 5th year in my undergrad, and I went to my cousins house tonight to bug them for a bit. My aunt knows that I'm in school for music, but I guess didn't know what the degree title was specifically. While having dinner she asked what my degree was, so I told her Bachelor of Arts Honours. She then following up with 'then what's your thesis?'. I don't have to write a thesis, it's considered an honours degree since I'm specializing in music and its not considered a 'general degree'. She then said it 'isn't an honours degree, then', and that it was a liberal arts degree. I'm in performing arts, so it can be categorized as a liberal arts discipline, but it's still an honours degree. Also, I've been in school for my degree for 5 years now and switched to my BAH 4 years ago, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm taking and it's classification. She just didn't want to be wrong and it got on my nerves 😭

Long story short, I work at a facility on my college campus and I've been there for about 2 years now. I finally got the courage to apply for a manager position (who only makes like $1.50 above min wage anyways) and felt confident about my application. I didn't get selected and felt fine about it until I had my debrief with my pro staff today. They went over all parts of my application and complimented me for the most part, with the only feedback being grammatical/ formatting corrections. At the end, we started going over my short response questions that I put a lot of effort into. My supervisor pointed at 2 phrases she had underlined and told me they "just didn't sound like me" and "sounded generated." I was genuinely confused because I truly didn't use ai to write it, so I sat there in silence for a second. She repeated herself and another staff asked something about grammarly to try and give me an out, I said I had it (even though it wasn't even turned on) just to get out of the conversation. It honestly feels like an insult to my character and I'm not sure why they'd think I'd risk my reputation there after so long by doing that. The sentences she underlined didn't even make sense and I have no clue why she thought why she did

It's disheartening and disturbing that there is a SUCH a lack of empathy in current day society. What happened to kindness and helping others out? I don't know if it's due to the social isolation that GenZ experienced during their developmental years (because of COVID), or whether it's because times have changed but I feel as though there is such a lack of human decency from GenZ, as a member myself. I strongly believe that COVID and the such high exposure to the internet and anonymity that it provides has made so many individuals bystanders to either situations online or in person. If somethings wrong SAY SOMETHING. Who cares if you're going against what the crowd is doing??? DO THE RIGHT THING and PUSH & ADVOCATE for it. I'm sick and tired of hearing children getting hurt either by others or themselves because nobody did anything to prevent it. Bullying has been out of control. I truly wish there was less of a desire from both my generation and people in general to be liked from the public. If we didn't as much, there would be more people stepping up and calling either for help or for attention when issues arise. Please, I urge you all, if you haven't already, to start thinking independently and critically. Think about what is right or wrong, argue ethics. Stop waiting for someone else to do something when YOU can.
I'm also sick and tired of the tremendous amount of people who always complain and never do. Seriously, if you have enough time to sit around and complain, DO SOMETHING to support/help! There are so many ways, either active or passive, to push for what you believe should be done/is right.
I wish I didn't feel so alone in this fight for bringing back the unity that humanity once had.

My boss is one of the most bafflingly stupid individuals I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. I have a delivery job and this man’s perception of time literally breaks reality, and he’s at least partially serious (probably also malicious). He will tell me that a 40 min drive is actually 20-30 minutes. Mind you I have google maps, and have driven it time and time again. I will tell him my work will take me 7 hours. He will call me after 5 YELLING at me that I should have been done. His temperament contributes greatly to my burning dislike for the man. He’s short, rude, interrupts me, disrespects me and will hang up on me. He is literally the only reason this job isn’t good for me. He’s also illiterate and reads at like a 5th grade level which is kind of sad and probably points to why he seems to have deficiencies in critical thinking.
Btw this man will yell at me one minute, then call 20 minutes later and be chill. And the truly sad part is this guy is in a long list of people and bosses that I have met, who have been truly dysfunctional, and who possess child-like control over their bodies and minds. The funny part is that while I’m blue collar, I suspect the white collar world is the same, perhaps more insidious because it is better at obfuscating these things. I actually know it is, at least based on discussions with my friends. The modern workplace is about demeaning yourself, accepting whatever clown reality that the company believes in, being duplicitous, deflecting blame and above all, surviving. This isn’t exactly groundbreaking stuff here but holy fuck my boss is something else.

This is just random but it's frustrating having to constantly move my arm so the lights come back on. I'm sorry I don't dance my ass out while taking a poop in a rest room, just stay on till I leave! Even just washing my hands not enough for this light to stay on

I dared to enjoy two cookies today so now I basically have to have half of dinner. Why is everything so fucking calorie dense 😭
And theres like no low cal options in my town and I'm sick of buying fresh veggies that rot within one day. Also veggies are not filling at all. I hate dieting. I work on my feet 9 hours a day and try to exercise and yet I'm still consistently gaining weight.
Just wanted to bitch. I feel better now.

my parents and the neighbour recently agreed to do a roof repair with someone they found
he ultimately never shows up, it's another team he subcontracted without our knowledge
i told my parents not to go with this guy and off i went to my university class, i was already running late
i come home and the new guys are working on our roof, it seems the neighbour insisted on getting it done asap cos it's almost winter and my parents agreed
and the new guys have been horrible, not following the contract, rude and unprofessional attitude, throwing stuff around
when we politely ask them a question the boss sucks his teeth and rolls his eyes and walks away
i want to yell at him so bad, we're literally paying you! but i don't want him to do a shitty job in retaliation

I recently joined new comapany few weeks ago due to more money. There are only 3 people who work in my department. But apparently this co-worker who joined the same time as me complains about how unhappy he is and gossips about how bad other people are during work hours. Not to mention the training is not good at all.
I can't take this anymore of this gossip and hearing complaints. Its driving me insane. I didn't have that gossip and complaints in my last 2 jobs.
I feel like leaving for another job with same pay or more since I have like 3 years experience in my field.
Should I keep on staying or leave for a better job once I get an offer ?

i remember there was this one time at a family event where they had a father daughter dance, 12yo me and my 9yo sister were the only daughters who didn't get to dance that day. we watched all of our cousins dance with their dads from a far pretending to be uninterested. we could have danced that day if only my father wasn't a deadbeat.

My team is small, and we have a singular forklift for 5 people to handle e-commerce orders and large bulks for Bezos and Walton (I'm not sure if specific company names are allowed on here.)
I'm gonna try to keep this somewhat quick, but I've been fighting for roughly 6 months on the safety and effectiveness of this machine. I've had everything in writing the entire time. The issues with it, the fact that it very rarely even turns on, I've explained in writing the dead hours that have been spent sitting restarting this thing to no avail.
Recently, a tech came out to look at it again and the document is a bit shocking. It FINALLY was confirmed in writing that the machine is unsafe and needs to be sent out for further repair, if reparable at all. This was last week.
We have two main players here, Manager (M), and CEO (C). I've been telling M since April that this machine is at the end of its life, because I know replacements can take time and money. He claims he's been speaking to C the entire time about it.
So nothing has worked up to this point, M is still expecting us to try and do our jobs with this dead machine. Yesterday I texted him to ask, "When will you and C be here in person so I can discuss with him myself how severe this now EMERGENCY situation is?"
I also explained, if we can't load trucks, we have no profit. Can't pull items down, we can't label them for Bezos or Walton or whatever. The only thing that seems to have worked was essentially asking when I can inform Daddy of M's negligence.
I think yesterday was the first C heard of the dead lift at all, because suddenly M went from "rentals are expensive and take months" to, "rental will be here Monday".
He just didn't want me talking to his boss...
And suddenly a new replacement machine will be to our warehouse in 3 weeks.
Did he just think this entire time I've been being dramatic or hyperbolic? I'm still absolutely planning on continuing to be very loud about this issue, because it's both a safety and productivity issue. Sigh.
Editing in: I fully intend, also, to speak with C regardless, even if it's something as subtle as "I appreciate you handling the rental situation for us, I know it's been a long while and a frustrating situation". I'm fully anticipating a response like "it's been a while?" So then I can explain that yes, this issue has actually been written about via email for multiple months, with all communications regarding it seemingly ignored, or shifted to in person where the discussion can't be proven as having taken place

Gotta vent about this today. I used to drive 1000+ miles for work every month in Massachusetts, USA so I have seen a lot of driver behavior. I now reside in the Denver metro in Colorado. Both are bad with phone use but Denver seems much worse and it is driving me nuts!
Get off your phone. You risk your l!fe or someone else’s. There is NO safe amount of handheld use. Your tiktoks, tweets, instagram reels, texts can ALL wait. If it really cannot wait, pull over with your hazards on, or find a safe place to park.
Today I ended up honking at a driver who was listing back and forth in his lane, speeding up then slowing down, weaving in lanes, etc. and I could see he was using his cell phone, looking down and up again. This guy had the gall to brake check me then flip me off. Buddy, you are risking your own l!fe and the l!ves of everyone around you. Get off your phone. There is no excuse.
Whew, rant over. I just don’t understand it. Who on earth truly believes it’s safe? It’s been well-known to be danger0us since I was a child, and I’m almost 30.
If you’re reading this and you regularly use your phone while you drive, you know better. Stop it. I refuse to be nice about it, if it hurts feelings then good! Keep your eyes on the road and arrive al!ve!
Note: some words are censored because reddit filters keep taking this down, and I can only guess that some of the words are why.

I don't even know what else to do at this point. I'm just tired.
I graduated back in June with a B.S. in Computer Networking. For years, finishing school felt like the light at the end of the tunnel. I've spent nearly a decade grinding through dead-end, low-paying jobs just trying to survive, telling myself that once I had the degree, I’d finally be able to build a real career and stop stressing about every single dollar.
Instead, I've spent the last four months shouting into a void.
I’ve applied to practically everything with a screen attached to it—entry-level IT, basic help desk, technical support, paid internships, whatever gets me in the door. I’ve rewritten my résumé until words don't look real anymore. I’ve gone to career fairs, tweaked cover letters, sent LinkedIn messages, and followed every piece of standard advice out there.
Almost all of it ends in an automated rejection email or dead silence.
What really stings is watching life happen around me. My brother and his wife moved in with us recently and both landed great, high-paying jobs right away. Don't get me wrong—I love them and I’m glad they’re doing well. But sitting in the same house, watching someone else easily cross the finish line while you're breaking your back just to stay at the starting line, messes with your head. It makes you feel broken, like there's some secret everyone else knows that you missed.
People keep telling me, *"You just graduated, be patient."* But this isn't just about the last four months. It’s about ten years of scraping by, betting everything on this degree, and realizing I’m sitting in the exact same spot financially that I was before. I don't want to get rich quick. I literally just want an entry-level job that pays enough for me to breathe and afford an apartment of my own.
Please don't tell me to tailor my keywords or follow up after three days. I’m doing all of that.
For anyone who’s been stuck in this ditch: how did you keep from losing your mind? Did it actually get better, or are we all just faking it? Right now, it feels like I'm running toward a future that doesn't actually exist.

Yesterday I just experienced one of the most inappropriate scenarios at work. I'm doing an internship at this company, like 200+ employees so I get new reactions to my height every day.
I had to get some documentation from an admin office, first comment is a guy exclaiming how tall I am, I just reply with the usual "I don't know myself". Next thing he asks (and I'm not even joking) me to take off my pants so they could see if I'm tall "both ways". He spoke in french (i barely understand), so I didn't know but as usual I just laugh cus they also laughed. I only noticed something was off when the lady in room said something like "wait let me get out of the room first" (again in french).
Another dude walks in, he's tall (maybe like 6'0"), and the others are like "you see your boss?", they laugh and all, then "pants could be struggling to carry those".... Again I just laugh cus I still don't really understand what they're saying.
Just then one of the workers says to them I don't know french, that's why I'm being quite despite everything they're saying. Regardless, what could I have said lol, I'm only a 20yo intern and they're like 50yo OG workers there.
Just earlier that same day, after missing breakfast at another office, one of the workers there said something like "geez, you're talll (said "long" on french so I assume), and then "I'm sure your thing down there I big too".... All in french but I understood because somehow he decided to make the actions with his hands very clear. I again just laughed so they thought I didn't understand what they said. A very weird worker, comes and tap my shoulder saying "you didn't hear what he said? He said you're so tall, your thing down there is probably long too..."
Wow, I never thought I'd experience this sorta stuffs in my life, especially from MEN. worst of all, they're all wrong

To be honest I never felt like I belonged with people that I belonged in this world. Just being here as time goes on makes me feel like I’m not supposed to be here. I feel as though I live on a different plane than other people while the others are on the other side. I try to reach happiness there but it is out of my reach causing me pain. I am meant to be in this plane I’m in do not belong in the other so I must find happiness here but struggle to find it. I wander this world with my soul a loner feeling out of place. With other people I could only be a guest but never truly have a home of my own. I spent so much time staring at the other plane I neglected to realize my own existence. I’m just not normal, time to close the curtain and focus on what’s actually there. Will I find happiness here? I have no idea after all I shouldn’t be in this world in the first place. Still I might as well try and find it to make the time I spend in life until death more bearable.

I don't even know where to start. Does anyone else feel like life is out to get them? I'm trying so hard not to be in the victim mindset but c'mon.
This story is an analogy to my life.
I was driving to work. I took a different route to avoid traffic. I had taken this road before a handful of times so I didn't use maps. Then there was a lane for right turn and left turn. I accidentally went into the left lane instead of right. We're sitting at the light for a couple of minutes and I'm giving my blinker for the right turn.
Light turns green. The first car passes by then the next then the next.( I would've turned left but it wasn't a protected left so the incoming cars from the other side held up traffic in my lane.) Then this last car finally stops and tries to let me go. But by this point I've accepted the fate and that these POS drivers are so petty they won't let one car in front of them. Then I'm just so pissed at that one car that's actually trying to help but its the final car so I just started crashing out in my car.
That's how my life is. Everyone treats you like shi then someone tries to help but you can't accept it because you're already traumatized. This isn't what I wanted to rant about.
Im finally making money but I'm still trying to do shi myself. But omg the hurdles. Why is it that it's so difficult for me to fix anything. I'm so freaking mad rn. Why does mine have to be so different than others. I know Christians would say well look god is giving you tough challenges because he's trying to teach you something. I don't need challenges just surviving is a challenge for me. I literally can't do anything and even when I attempt it. I run into so many obstacles it's literally baffling.
TL;DR: I'm a crybaby and life is out to get me

hii guys i’m 21F and im very lonely ive lost alot of things since i was 16 and i find it very hard to let go of. I come from a financially unstable family my parents moved a lot to be able to afford a good life for me and my sister.
I feel horrible being sad even though they sacrificed so much for me and i feel selfish. I missed out on a lot of parties, my graduations and had to leave friends behind and i was temporary always. Theres so much happening in this world and im here in my room sad over stupid stuff. I also have a loving bf who might be growing sick of me and i don’t blame him i cry alot im always sad everything is a huge thing for me, my small loses make me miserable i also got horribly back stabbed from my only friend group 2 years ago and till now i cant stop thinking about times they hated my guts and i never noticed.
Im trying to recover from an ed i hate my body and my face and my voice its like i blame myself for everything i think if i was someone else this wouldn’t happen to me maybe i was cursed im already a shame for my family so i dont know if i would even risk getting therapy because that would be like admitting that im made wrong.

I'm 21M, GenZ, and I've personally never been interested in any of that social media fluff: Never had Instagram, never had Facebook (apart from family and friends and even back then I've hardly visited it), never EVER had Tiktok, any of that bs. Just YouTube to chill and kick back and this pretty throwaway account that has no correlation to who I am irl). I just never got what's the point of all of it. What it's truly for. I guess it's made to make you waste enough energy and life resources away scrolling endlessly while it shows you ads at your face and makes billionaires and huge tech companies a little bit richer?
Apart from:
• Gooning
• Actually using it for something productive and being a creator in social media ( a hustler, and even then it depends on the content of what you're making), other than an user who does nothing but consume and occasionally fight battles in comment sections
• Connecting with your family and nearby friends who you know irl to meet up with them from time to time, or get to know what they're up to in their lifes, yk, what social media was originally made for
• Just chilling back and relaxing while watching or consuming something low-friction like a dumb "Karen" video, memes, True Crime, or some relatable bs, or some goofy wild story that doesn't affect your life in the slightest;
Apart from that, social media doesn't worth to much of anything.
Like, discussing ideas? Hell nah, I can always do this in real life, way better and has way more friction, which is good for your mental health (you never stay in a bubble or echo chamber where everyone agrees with you in those algorithms you're trapped to). And like, discussing things online with somebody, specially politics or "hot topics" like social issues is the absolute DUMBEST thing you can do on social media: Nobody is ever going to agree with you, or change their views of their word because of you, no matter how truthful or twisted they are, and nobody will ever get to be like "you know what, I think you're right, fair game", like no, there might even be a few more "sane" people like that, but most people are going to be fighting you over and over again, and most of what you're going to get, is get cursed at or expelled, canceled or ratioed for saying something the masses of "sheep" think. Nobody agree to disagree no more. Everybody be fighting on their same points, over and over again, on a discussion that changes absolutely nothing in the world. You being a keyboard warrior fighting for the "rights of people", virtually, ain't going change nothing, like ever. You're just being used as a tool to make some billionaire a little bit richer by making you waste your time thinking you can change anything with just words, and you're being part of that process you criticize so much. It's like, you change nothing and nobody cares about your argument at the end of the day. You're just 'bout to become some dead Twitter/Facebook post that nobody cares, and somebody will then later dig up 10 years later, in order to make some YouTube video, memeing on you.
For sharing things? I guess, but you don't need to share absolutely every single thing about your life online. That's kind weird. I still lowkey share that "old-school boomer" mentality that you shouldn't share everything about your life online and that you should disclose as little as possible information of your real life on social media. Not only for maintaining your privacy, but for your own safety as well.
I lowkey, like, don't get what social media is for then, who is it for, or why anyone would ever use it to the point where they look like a crack addict or something scrolling an entire afternoon away while discussing random shit that don't matter with people on there, instead of doing anything productive or a least a little bit more useful with their lifes. I just don't get it, I can't get it.
