I'm really struggling after psychosis and life collapse and just so tired but will keep going.

Was working hard 6 days a week, providing for fiancee and our first child, drinking after work then lost my job and started drinking more and taking valium with it then had a psychotic break and ended up in the psych ward then medicated on olanzapine 20mg, losing my job and going broke. then stopped taking it before the wedding then went crazy then back to the psych ward and remedicated and she left me and I've been living with mum for 12 months sober and she's controlling and manipulative and opinionated and cruel and believes she's the third parent to my child and thinks I'm a total fucking failure and says shit like "I'd like you to be happy before I die" and "your just a retard arnt you" and "soon enough your ex will forget all about you" and had completely cut my dad off and falls out with everyone in the family and my sister came down here to live and lasted 6 days before getting out.

I got back to work at the start of the year (lasted 5 months before needing to quit due to paranoid delusions and intrusive visuals and feeling like someone else was crawling around in my mind), while decreasing the Olanzapine dose and then needed Seroquel to help with sleep then came off both anti psychotics and onto an anti depressant then needed lorazepam at high doses to make the transition and zopiclones to sleep and now I'm off Olanzapine,Seroquel, lorazepam, zopiclone and have adapted to Sertraline 100mg but am now incredibly agitated and moods are swinging and I'm alternating between hyped up and ready to take on the world with Tons of thoughts and ideas that I've written down and then feeling absolutely miserable and worthless and living with this fucking mother of mine is making everything so much worse.

Ive been mentally trying to escape my situation by excercising and gaming and sexting tons of different girls and reaching out to people and getting out of the house and just lost my shit yesterday at my fall length mirror and ripped it off the wall and screamed into it saying "figure it out cunt" and violently shaking it until it shattered. Now I've taken the psychiatrists advice of adding a mood stableizer and reducing the Sertraline to 50mg and got another job lined up and basically start next week and the goal is simple. I've got 10k saved and set aside, I'm dialling in the diet and workout routine and I need to get the fuck away from this woman mate.

Get my own space, get myself a dog, set a room up for my daughter, get a couple toys, work during the week and workout everyday and take my dog to beach and park, look after my daughter Sundays and have a few different casual hookups sorted for Saturday's.

I'm still really good friends with my ex and we co parent well but after the psych ward and getting sober and all these different medications and being under mums roof with all her head fuck opinions I've been having thoughts and nearly acting on them off just fucking off to another state and getting drunk and just fucking my brains out but that won't solve anything really and being 32 I've kind of already done everything I want to do and am genuinely ready to pack it in but I feel I need to give myself everything I believe I need before we make any silly decisions especially now being a father and most people seem to like me and I'm funny and kind and caring and want the best for those around me but fuck it's become hard living with myself after everything that's happened so yeah.

Prity simple from here, we are sober 12 months and off 2 powerful anti psychotics, adapting to a lower dose anti depressant with a mood stableizer now in the mix. Get this job happening, stack money, get own space, get a dog, get some toys and some casual sex happening, dial in the diet and the routine, show up for a my daughter and setup a space for her where she can feel safe and loved and go have experiences with her and just get ontop of things to the point I can get to the end of the day and sit back with a coke zero and think yeah, life is ok.

Love you all, please take care of yourselves, life ain't easy and there's a reason why mental hospitals and prisons and graveyards are full of people that just couldn't handle it anymore. I told my psych I'm not killing myself and I'm not going back to the psych ward so the only option left is to live so let's get going in creating a life worth living.

TLDR: life collapsed, lost woman, job, went broke, became single dad, back living with corrosive mother, sober, off anti psychotics, putting a plan in motion for own space and the goal of better mental health.

Quit my job while in psychosis

I went through psychosis back in June and during it I quit my job, which I didn’t really like that much but it was well paying and in my field of study, plus I was good at it. Now I’ve been unemployed for almost 5 months, and for most of that I was in post psychosis depression so bad I could barely get out of bed or off the couch, let alone work.
Now I finally feel well enough to work and I have started applying for jobs only to hear back from none of them. I feel so hopeless, I can’t go back to the job I had because they replaced me. I really fucked myself over during psychosis and it sucks so much dealing with the consequences of something I did when I wasn’t in my right mind. I feel like my career is fucking ruined. The job market is absolute shit. Even if I was able to actually get a good job again now I have to worry that the stress would just cause psychosis all over again. This shit feels like a fucking curse on my life. Things were going so well finally, I was financially secure after years of struggling in the past and now I lost all of that in an instant because there’s something wrong with my fucking brain. It’s not fair.

How did you feel when you first found out about your schizophrenia diagnosis?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m 23F, and first of all, I’m sorry if my English isn’t perfect, as I’m Italian. ❤️
I’d like to ask you something quite personal, but please don’t feel any pressure to answer if you’re not comfortable sharing.
For those of you who have schizophrenia, how did you feel when you first found out about your diagnosis? Especially if the diagnosis had been made by a psychiatrist but you hadn’t fully understood what was happening or what treatment you were receiving at the time.
I’m asking because my boyfriend has a schizophrenia diagnosis from a psychiatrist, but unfortunately, he hadn’t been fully informed about the situation. He didn’t know that the person he had seen was a psychiatrist, and he had also been taking medication without knowing the full context.
I felt that, given the importance of honesty and trust in our relationship, I couldn’t keep this from him. So one evening, I explained everything to him as gently and carefully as I could. I tried to be thoughtful about my words, because I’m his girlfriend first and foremost, and the last thing I wanted was to hurt or frighten him.
I’m also studying subjects related to psychiatry as part of my education, but I know that being his partner is very different from studying these topics. I care about him deeply, and I want to understand his feelings rather than assume I know what he’s going through.
The morning after I told him, he said he had felt unwell during the night, with shaking and feeling very cold. I’ve been wondering whether he might have experienced intense anxiety or emotional distress after hearing this news.
I haven’t seen him since Saturday, and we don’t usually talk on the phone, so I don’t really know how he’s doing at the moment.
For those of you who remember finding out about your diagnosis, what was that experience like for you? Did you feel frightened, overwhelmed, confused, relieved, or something else entirely? Did you experience any physical symptoms when processing the news?
And one last question: if you were in his position, would you appreciate your partner coming to check on you, or would you prefer some time and space to process everything?
I don’t want to invade his space or make assumptions about his feelings. I just care about him and want to be there for him in the way he needs.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you to anyone who feels comfortable sharing their experience. Sending you all love and kindness. 🌟💕

Are these psychosis symptoms?

• Upvotes

Hello all. I’m a woman in my mid 20s with a history of psychosis, and I think it’s being triggered again. Some things that have happened and concerned me as of late:

I am reading words completely wrong? For example, I was at the grocery store looking at potatoes and read “fingerling” as “engineering” and fully saw that word until my bf corrected me. Only then was I able to actually read the word “fingerling”.

I am smelling things that my bf isn’t smelling. I’ve been getting strong wafts of cat piss??

A piece of furniture was moved in my bf’s apartment and a few days later it was back. I asked my bf where it had gone and why it’s back now and he was confused as to what I was talking about. The piece of furniture DID leave the apartment, but it DID NOT reappear.

I’ve already made an appointment with my psychiatrist and therapist. Do these sounds like symptoms of psychosis to anyone else?

Misdiagnosis and Psychosis

• Upvotes

Recently, I was hospitalized for a medication-induced psychosis. At first, I thought it was mismanagement of the drug cascade I was on. Once I did a forensic audit of my medication logs, titration schedules, side effects, and prescriber decisions, I realized it was a flagrant disregard for regulatory recommendations.

I had a baseline of a moderate dose of Sertraline and a higher dose of pregabalin. I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder through a brief video appointment and prescribed Sertraline. Given my history of relational trauma, my nervous system was sensitive and vulnerable. For a compromised system, introducing an SSRI requires slow, cautious titration. Instead, I was titrated upwards to 75 mg over 21 days—far too aggressive for my body.

I quickly developed severe restless leg syndrome and chronic sleep issues. Sertraline alters sleep structure, but instead of recognizing this, the doctor piled on 200 mg of Pregabalin, titrating it rapidly while my system waved red flags.

Even on a sedative, I couldn't sleep. I completed CBT-i focusing on sleep hygiene, but it did nothing. For half a decade, I didn't sleep well until after my psychosis, when I finally went off all medications. A sedative couldn't override how violently my body rejected the Sertraline.

Staying on this for years unleashed worse symptoms: debilitating gastrointestinal issues featuring nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and vasovagal episodes with heavy sweating and stomach pain.

90% to 95% of the body's serotonin receptors are in the gut. Flooding those receptors long-term with an SSRI wrecked my digestion. I ended up in the hospital several times, and a medical scope showed nothing structurally wrong because the root cause was neurochemical.

I trusted her GAD diagnosis, believing the internal irritation was anxiety. I never had these symptoms before, and they persisted for half a decade. Later, when I returned for help with relational issues, she took me off the pregabalin, not the Sertraline. This made no sense: pregabalin was just a band-aid masking the Sertraline's side effects. Removing it lowered my load slightly, but left the compounding issues intact.

This was the first time she used a label to prescribe medications that caused harm. The second is what led to a psychosis.

In my next post, I’ll share how this foundation escalated, how I audited my records to find the evidence, and the steps I'm taking to report these violations to regulatory bodies. Stay tuned for Part 2.

Possible psychosis?

• Upvotes

For the past few months i have been having delusions very consistently. They’ve hugely been about me being god (mainly that I’m the reincarnation of people associated to gods, Jesus, Cleopatra, etc) or that I’m living in a world that was entirely built around me and is constantly changing for me specifically.

I cognitively know these are impossible, but even knowing that, it has been VERY hard for me to dissaude these beliefs, and I catch myself thinking about it atleast 4-5 times a day.

Any thought that builds off of those beliefs is almost immediately rooted in my brain as something that’s a fact, despite all of my doubts, and I’m trying to figure out if this is psychosis, or some other mental issue my brain suddenly decided to collect. I’ve gone into psychosis before but it was nothing like this, and only lasted a week, so this is a lot different from what I know is psychosis.

I’m not totally sure if this is the sub to ask this, but if anyone has any experience with something like this, any advice would be super appreciated.

Advice .

Been doing meth and fent for some time. Started hearing voices. The type that make you feel unsafe. I recently got clean but they still linger.. it’s been over 2 years and they’re still there. Not to sound dumb but am I schizo or is this a a very long term drug induced schizophrenia. . I catch myself having a conversation with the voices then I stop myself. It’s getting to that point where I don’t know what’s really going on. I convinced myself that it’s multiple people messing with me. What the hell .

Clicking Hallucinations???

I'm going to try my absolute hardest to explain this, but I'm not in the best headset right now.

So for over a month now I've been hearing this like clicking sound. It sounds like if the back of two metal pins were being clicked against each other. For a while I thought it was something on my bag because I only heard it while I was walking around.

Recently though, I started hearing it even when sitting. So, I thus began to believe that it's my cheap headphones of 4 years finally breaking, so I tried doing some testing.

The clicks typically come in sets of 3 or maybe 4 before stopping again for around a minute. It also probably important to note that it's only one ear. It was happening so I took a headphone out early in the set to see if it would still happen. As soon as I took the headphone out it continued but got a little louder??? Like it was an external sound that the headphone had muffled.

This clicking has occurred in multiple different locations, so I'm unfortunately starting to really think it's a hallucination.

I just wanted to get these feelings out somewhere and see if anyone has gone through anything similar. I do plan on talking with a professional about this, but sometimes it's nice to talk to those with psychosis as well. I just feel like I'm going insane anymore man, and there is nothing I can seemingly do. I think it's finally starting to hit me that psychosis truly does affect my day to day life, and that it will for the rest of my life.

9 months since cannabis psychosis, still cant feel anything

It’s been 9.5 months since my cannabis induced psychosis.

Meds i’m currently on:
- wellbutrin 450 mg (no effect at all)
- vyvanse 40 mg (works like 5%)

In the past 9.5 months I did not have any symptoms of relapse and am stable mostly other than crippling anhedonia and inability to feel things.

Please someone tell me how to get my ability to feel positive things back. I’ve been in hell for 9.5 months. Every waking moment is torture because I cannot fucking feel anything like I used to. It feels like there’s glass between me and my ability to feel things properly.

I’ve tried wellbutrin for several months at 300-450mg and feel absolutely nothing from it.
What meds helped with ability to feel things?

I’m so fucking desperate to regain my ability to feel things again. I’m not living. I’m just existing. Please help.

I need some input… My Gurl & I have been #Battling (#Methamphetamine) for the last month… she (maybe) experienced a #psychosis… I have two areas of #inquisition; 1) What will help aid the #comedown & #withdrawal we are sure to experience? 2) What do you think happened to her three nights ago?

Three nights ago our other half experienced what we determined at that time to be a full blown #psychosis… (Meth induced). We hadn’t slept much in 3 days and were consistent using during this time.

She began to flail around violently & convulse her body parts while making extreme guttural (retardation-like) sounds… for between 6-8 hours or so.

It scared me so badly I prayed like I’d been talking to God every Daamn night for my entire adulthood!!! I was laying next to her in bed…. Every Once in a while I’d hold her and whisper “it’ll be alright” … or, “you’ll be ok”. I imagined worst case scenarios that involved her remaining in this state in the morning, my having to transport her to the psych ward for help….

Our brother BillyBoy offered up an entirely different explanation; #Demonic #Possession … (he’s a #Pieces … a #ThirdDegreeDeacon pisces to be exact).

We are looking for help to do the following;
*Stop use altogether
*Not give into the compulsion a week or two from now
*Assist with the uncomfortableness of Withdrawal.
*Help eachother actually achieve (months) clean.
*What to do if one of us desires, decides (or does) Use?

Thanks so much!!!!!

Undiagnosed sister (41) showing severe OCD, paranoia, and violent rages toward elderly parents. What are my options

I need help. My sister is 41 years old and I'm 39 years old. We live in Quebec, Canada. She was always a bit shy growing up. During her teen years, she did recreational drugs: pot, LSD, and mushrooms. She was in a punk/skater crew, and she has always been nice and funny. Around age 19, she started skipping Cégep and just wandered around the city with some friends smoking pot. She has never been able to keep a job.

She looks very nice and innocent, but she has always been a bit... I don't know how to say it, weird, I guess. She has difficulty holding a conversation; she always speaks louder than the person she is talking to, and she doesn't really listen when you speak to her. You can see that she's not paying full attention. Anyways, fast forward: she worked an office job for most of her adult life. She has never had a boyfriend, and she lost all of her friends over time. This wasn't because of conflicts, but just because of life.

She lost all of her jobs because she always had problems with her colleagues (always claiming that they harassed her).

Two years ago, she had problems at her job. I don't know exactly how it happened, but she started going to my parents' house often. Then, she completely abandoned her apartment (though she still pays for it every month) and moved in with them. Over the months, she took over my mom's room (putting all of her things in the closet) and took over the basement, where she spends all of her days on the internet. She also claimed a specific spot at the kitchen table that we are not allowed to touch, including her plate, fork, and glass. She has severe OCD with cleaning and germs. All of her days are spent cleaning nonstop.

My parents are 72 and tired. We don't have a family life anymore. They can't live normally because she sets a lot of ridiculous rules, and if they don't respect them, she bursts into a violent rage. When she finishes her crisis, she acts like nothing happened and never apologizes. They can't cook because she doesn't like the smell. They can't make their coffee because she doesn't like the smell. They can only do their laundry downstairs at specific times when she allows it, and then she cleans everything afterward as if they are dirty.

She doesn't work anymore, and she doesn't help around the house. Since a few weeks ago, her rage has been increasing, and she is becoming more and more volatile.

She has never seen a psychiatrist, she has never wanted to get help, and she completely refuses to receive any. We don't have a diagnosis. I don't know what she has. She is convinced she doesn't have a problem.

She is extremely abusive toward my parents, especially my mother, and she has hit her in the past. Every time I go to my parents' house, it ends with yelling between her and me. For the record, my mom has asked her many times to go back to her place, but she completely ignores the request.

Today, because my mom cooked in the morning, my sister cut my mom's magnificent plant in half. I was shocked when I saw it.

My mom doesn't want me to call the police. I know it would be the easiest way and she would be gone within the hour, but it would be terribly traumatizing for my mother, who is in poor health.

What can I do? I know it will end badly. I'm afraid she will hurt them or worse. I can see the craziness in her eyes now.

Could it be psychosis?

Is hearing noises that aren’t real still psychosis if you know they probably aren’t real?

Earlier this year I got diagnosed with several mental health disorders, most pressing being bipolar 2. Got on mood stabilizers that helped with the severe depression but now I am having more neurological kind of symptoms and have informed my therapist and psych but neither of them seemed very concerned about it. I have been hearing unexplainable strange noises occasionally. Usually benign but recently heard a random noise behind me and it scared the fuck out of me. I’ve lost hour long chunks of time twice, both while driving, that I suddenly realized I was at my destination an hour late with no memory of how I got there. Sometimes I get confused or have trouble putting a sentence together. Therapist says this is just brain fog and it’s not psychosis because I know it’s not real

Post psychosis insomnia

Had my first episode of psychosis in January this year off the back of a really stressful time at work whilst also being in the postpartum period (my daughter was 18mths at the time). I wasn’t sleeping and ended up having delusions about being a bad mother, partner leaving me etc.
I wasn’t sleeping and ended up being hospitalised for 10days (which broke my heart being separated from my daughter) and then sent home as an outpatient.
I’ve been slowly trying to rebuild my life since this time, with therapy, medication, additional support from my family, exercise etc. I am throwing every effort at it but still have a way to go.
The one thing that seems to have dogged me these past few months is terrible sleep, which I’ve found super triggering given my episode. I can’t seem to nap during the day and I wake easily overnight without being able to get back to sleep. Have tried to do CBTI and although my meds are sedating (I take Olanzapine) sleep feels fragile and hence so does my mental health/recovery.
My psychiatrist says is often the last thing to recover following a psychotic/depressive episode. Has anyone else found that to be the case for them? Any compassionate advice or positive recovery stories would be much appreciated ❤️‍🩹 really going through it atm.

for the past like two months ive been having random thoughts out of nowhere about nothing being real and the government, i got very into punk and how terrible control and government is and how ive never met anybody powerful and that’s because theyre a whole different like section of human to me and other powerless people. these thoughts would come randomly and i’d get kind of confused. this past week ive been isolating myself, i’m extremely close with my older brother but everytime he talks to me recently i basically tell him to leave and say i need to be alone , at college ive been actively avoiding my friends and people, i’ve missed two days of school just to stay home because i’m so paranoid of everyone and what they might do or see in me. no food has been appetising, no cravings or anything. but ive been extremely thirsty and i drink way more water. i usually watch tons of movies (5 a week) but these last few weeks ive watched 2 (one of which ive watched many times before) because i think all movies are made to make me think things and so people know what misa i’m consuming and tracking exavtly what i think and know and my opinions. a few days ago i message a hotline because i wanted to die, i saw no point to life as i think it’s all been pre decided for me so whatever i’m going to do is alresdy going to be done whether i’m here or not. i relapsed and cut myself because i thought there was something inside my pores. i think something is in one of the pores on my body so i keep squeezing all of them too see and now i have lots of sore spots on my body. and an hour ago its like i woke up, i was looking at myself on a camera and i got deja vu to a memory (i’m not sure if it’s real) about same doing the same thing and getting de ja vu , and then i thought everything must be fake and i got de ja vu again to the same memory where i’d also thought that, and it that memory i’d got de ja vu etc etc… and then i sent a video to my best friend telling her what i know, how life has been created and everything we do is what we were made to do, people “going crazy” and making theories about reality is just them noticing truth. how nobody ever told me what reality is ive just always known and that’s because it’s planted in our brains. everything looks almost perfect and fake  and colours are so vivid. and sounds are so like sticking out from silence, i can always hear the silence but the sound just cuts through it so clearly like it’s jumping at me. i have this feeling that things are watching me, like i can’t see them cause i’m not looking but i know they are there watching me and studying me. i won’t come out the bathroom because i don’t know what’s outside, in here theres walls and everyting is material but outside might jist be an abyss. last week i also one night became obsessed with fitness and i used kettle bells so much that for the next three days i couldnt move my arms, normaly i don’t do fitness things. also for context these past few years ive had therapy but it ended in the 6th month, i’ve experienced extreme mood swings that i’ve seen CAHMS about before but in the end i’ve got 0 help, possible diagnosis or anything like that, i feel like this is all a ploy too see how long i can last and how many things i can think.if anyone has any ideas please tell me id appreciate some knowledge

This feels so unlike me but I can’t hope but think these things.

Can I continue taking vyvanse?

I’m a young adult who’s been given 5mg of abilify for what they think is psychosis. However I’m in higher education at the moment and really need to focus but have adhd. Bottom line question is, can I take my vyvanse on abilify? I’m also on Prozac 60mg. What have been peoples experience with taking vyvanse on antipsychotics?

Who’s had 1 psychosis, no other diagnosis and stayed on medication for life ?

Aloha amigos,

I’m 22 F, I had a psychosis when I was like 20-21
At first my doc said I’d be in a medication for like a year, but it’s been over a year since then and like sometimes I might still hear voices if I take a cheeky drug

I’m finding to pretty thought giving up drugs even tho I’ve never been a drug kinda girl it’s just I’ve discover dexies and how great they are. This won’t be a forever thing and me taking them now no matter how many I take I don’t bring back any psychotic symptoms.

But look I just wanted to know whether if anybody has had an acute psychosis, not diagnosed with anything and is still on medication. ? And like how come your not diagnosed like what is it classified as ?

Vraylar for negative symptoms

Has anyone tried adding Vraylar to reduce negative symptoms? How's it working for you? My doctor said it's not good to be a standalone antipsychotic but it's a good addition to the primary antipsychotic to try to combat anhedonia.

Angry at A&E care

For context, my 52 year old mother experienced a severe psychological trauma over the weekend which resulted in severe, sudden psychosis which resulted in her being sectioned under 136 (mental health act in the UK) by the police. They had her evaluated by a mental health professional and they discharged her the same day as the psychosis itself had stopped. We took her to A&E later that day to get her checked out. We weren’t seen for 4-5 hours, she kept going into strange states of talking completely normally, laughing at jokes, and then zoning out and freezing. We were waiting up until my dad escalated it and the head of the A&E shift that day was worried as my mum was no longer responsive to physical touch, pain or sound. They checked her heart rate, blood pressure and took blood tests, but everything was okay, so they sent her home. That night, again, completely unresponsive, but her eyes were moving rapidly behind the lids (she keeps them closed). She would respond with smiling or squeezing someone’s hand if they asked, but it seems to take a great deal of energy to do any of these things, and almost right after, she’d go completely limp and lose consciousness.

Fast forward to the next day - we took her to A&E again as I began to get worried that it was catatonia. I thought this for these reasons:

She has echolalia. She tends to repeat exactly what we say to her right back to us instead of answering.

Her facial muscles tighten randomly - she grimaces at random intervals - the bottom side of her mouth twisting to the side. She will stop this if you ask a few times, though.

She has periods of becoming completely unresponsive, freezing and staring into space. She won’t respond to touch, pain or sound. It’s like she’s completely locked in place. These can last up to 10 minutes or longer if she isn’t physically moved.

She also has periods of suddenly becoming a limp, dead weight. She won’t respond, again, to anything like physical touch or sound or pain. She becomes completely limp, and her head will flop backwards.

During periods of “unconsciousness” - she sometimes seems to choke on her own spit. As though her throat muscles are tightening. This doesn’t last more than 15-30 seconds, but it’s really scary.

Her body resists being moved. An EMAD ambulance had to come and check her out last night as she was completely unresponsive. When they tried to pick her up, it was like her muscles were fighting it.

Anyway, at A&E, the doctor was unable to wake her at all. But he spoke to the psychiatry team, who were told about the 136 admission and basically only took what they said into account. They said it was a natural response to trauma, and that there was absolutely nothing they could do. They prescribed oral Zopiclone. When we got home, she was completely out of it again. I didn’t feel safe giving her something she couldn’t swallow and something that would knock out someone who was already in and out of consciousness. Since she wouldn’t respond, we called 111 who advised to call 999. We did and they came soon after. They said it was clearly a psychiatric issue and I went with her in the ambulance to a psychiatric assessment unit. Unfortunately she regained consciousness at the wrong moment and the people there only saw her in a “normal state” - I explained my concerns with her breathing and rigidity, and they told me it was “normal”. We had to drive home and I wasn’t happy about it at all. The next day, she woke up and was talking - she ate something also, but she didn’t use the bathroom for the entire day, only had small sips of water when she was conscious, and she ate something small. After that, HOURS of unresponsive unconsciousness. We called 999, the EMAD team came. We’ve been in the ambulance referral place all night, they checked her vitals, did a bladder scan etc. But they contacted the psychiatry team who said they couldn’t do anything about it. That it was to be expected with trauma. (Nobody from the psychiatric team has seen her in person AT ALL). They’re suggesting the sleeping pill in liquid form and suggests that she goes home. I have refused to take her home because I don’t think it’s safe. Can anyone advise me? Should I just let them send her home?

Can people who have had psychotic episodes live a normal life?

My bf 34, is currently in a month ish long episode. It’s been a mess. But he finally called his psychiatrist which is a big improvement vs before he refused help.

I don’t know what this illness entails really.. especially for the rest of his life. Like will he be able to maintain a job? Will he be excited about things again?

My mom is very worried for my future because of him but i believe that he can heal. I want to show him love and support, especially if he has to deal with this. i dont want to just leave him yknow?

We don’t know his diagnosis yet or anything though because of the lack of treatment hes been receiving. We will find out soon probably though.

Can anyone here fill me in on how life is like for you or your loved one whos gone through psychosis?

Słyszenie głosów a marihuana

Czy ktoś z was miał podobnie? Czy to schizofrenia? Dodam, że ma wizytę u psychiatry już zaplanowaną, natomiast dopiero za ponad miesiąc…
