Post AI-assisted but all me:
I'm seriously considering backing the AURA 3 Max + 120" Ascend UST bundle, but I'm struggling to find detailed technical specifications, particularly for the Ascend.
I already have a dedicated Dolby Atmos home theater system with a Denon AVR-X3700H, Klipsch front speakers, surround speakers, overhead Atmos speakers, and a subwoofer.
Both the AURA 3 Max projector (80W) and Ascend screen (170W) have integrated Harman Kardon audio systems. I'd actually love to use one of them to replace my existing center-channel speaker, but I have no interest in giving up the rest of my surround system.
A few questions, hopefully for someone at XGIMI:
Audio integration:
- Can either the AURA 3 Max or the Ascend's Harman Kardon speakers function as a dedicated center channel, receiving a discrete audio signal from an AVR?
- My Denon has a dedicated center-channel RCA pre-out. Does either XGIMI product have an analog audio input or another way to accept that signal?
- If supported, is there a fixed-volume or center-only mode that disables surround virtualization and allows the Denon to manage volume, delay, and Audyssey room correction?
- If neither supports this, can both integrated sound systems be completely disabled while the Denon handles all audio?
Ascend UST specifications:
- Are there complete technical specifications or a manual available for the 120" Ascend? I'm specifically looking for housing dimensions, depth, weight, deployed screen height, and the distance from the floor to the bottom of the image.
- What audio/video connections does the Ascend actually have? I haven't been able to find a port diagram anywhere.
- What are the dimensions and adjustment capabilities of the integrated projector platform? Does it retract into the housing?
I really like the concept of a clean, integrated floor-rising screen and UST projector, but at $4,999 for the bundle, I'd like to understand how it works with an existing home theater before committing.
Would really appreciate an official response from XGIMI, especially regarding center-channel functionality and the missing Ascend specifications.
