Ive been thinking I might have gotten myself into a predicament with having to many plants. Its an addiction of mine and I keep buying more and more. Or more rare types of plants. And I've been debating down sizing or getting rid of most of them? Asking if I should get rid of them or keep the addiction going haha. Im gonna need more grow lights...

[I also posted this in r/IndoorPlants. I just really want to rehab my sad little not-ivy 🥲]

I bought this plant from Home Depot in May, where it was CLEARLY LABELED “English ivy.” Only today have I begun to suspect that it’s not ivy.

Based on my rudimentary research, I think it’s a golden pothos? It had never really thrived and has always looked a bit sad. I moved it to several different spots before putting it outside in July and leaving it there since last week, when I brought it in and re-potted it in Miracle-Gro brand potting soil.

I probably need to take it out of this window, where it’s getting a lot of direct morning sunlight (and it seems they don’t like that). However I think it did like the re-pot, as it seems there’s a lot of new growth happening at the roots.

I’d love to hear any advice anyone would like to give, as a complete plant ignoramus who has spent the last 5 months believing this was an ivy.

Help Am I doing something wrong?

First time plant dad here. Was gifted this bromeliads back in June. Temperature has been between 55-80 F consistently, but I don't know how to be accurate with "medium light" and moderately moist soil". The tips of the leaves seem a little crispy, and there are spots that look dry and dead that have steadily gotten worse. Any advice would be appreciated!

Discussion Distilled water

Does any one use a water distiller instead of constantly buying distilled water?
Buying isn’t crazy expensive. It just seems I always run out at the most inconvenient of times.

If you have a distiller which one & $$?
Do you find it works for your plants that require/prefer distilled vs tap?

Help AMAZON LILY un Colombia

I live in Colombia, where the climate is tropical. Someone gave me this Amazon lily when it was in really bad shape, and I've been trying to bring it back to life. It started growing some tiny new leaves, but they have these WEIRD SPOTS on them. The plant itself doesn't look TOOOOO BAD otherwise. I keep it in partial shade, with no direct sunlight.

What could be causing these spots? How can I help it recover? Any advice is appreciated!
