My daughter is getting married early next month, and I’m still trying to decide on the right wedding gift for her.

My wife and I divorced last year. Originally, I thought it would be nice for us to put some money together and give our daughter one meaningful wedding gift from both of us. Unfortunately, my ex-wife wasn't interested in doing that, so I've decided to choose and pay for the gift myself.

After looking at several options, I’m seriously considering a 1 oz American Gold Eagle Proof Coin in its original presentation box.

I’m trying to find a birthday gift for my boyfriend, but he’s genuinely so hard to shop for because he already has everything and has very expensive taste. He loves philosophy, poetry, literature, and art, especially Caspar David Friedrich and Vermeer. Bf is turning 25 this end of month, and I have no idea what to give him as I'm on a budget. Last year I really went all out— a sports watch, a handcrafted card, something for his vehicle, snacks, etc. Practically made a gift bag and with that I felt like I've hit a stump when it comes to ideas. My family and I are planning to get our dad a nice watch for his 50th birthday. We've saved up around $1500 to $2000 and want to get him something special that he can wear for years. He's always liked watches but never really spent much money on one himself. We want something that looks classy and feels like a proper milestone gift without going overboard. We've been looking at a few brands like Tissot and Longines but we're not sure where the best place to buy would be. There's a difference between replacing something because it's old and replacing something because the person genuinely wishes they still had it.

A favorite bathtub tray that broke, bath pillows they lost, or something they used for years until it finally wore out.

Got her and her mom's feedback. Her mom has been incredibly stressed lately, as a result, she was waking up every night at 2 or 3am and was unable to fall back asleep. Glad that she has been sleeping much better.

I know surprises can be really sweet, but sometimes shopping together sounds just as nice.

You get to spend time with the person, they get something they actually want, and nobody has to pretend to love a gift that doesn't fit.
