Looking for Gift Ideas Looking for advice for a gift for my girlfriend

For context I'm a woman also and I want to give her polaroids of my nudes, but I don't know how to do it logistically. A friend would have to take those but they can't see me like that, so how do I do it? Does the person set up the shot, close their eyes and then i get undressed or what?

What is a gift people do not realize they need until someone gives it to them? Something they probably would not buy for themselves but end up using all the time. Has anyone ever gifted you something like that?

• Upvotes

Have you ever gotten a gift you did not think much of at first, but ended up using it all the time? Sometimes the most useful gifts are things we would not have bought for ourselves. What was that gift for you?

Looking for Gift Ideas Mid twenties. Doctor in computer engineering. Secret Santa gift.

Looking for a gift for my brother in law. He has an excellent job. Not married. Long term girlfriend. Buys mostly everything he wants. Hobbies include traveling with his girlfriend, computers, gaming, photography, higher end clothes and shoes that are niche but not necessarily super popular, gadgets, Legos. Before he didn’t have a job and was a student he was super easy to buy for because he didn’t have money to buy things for himself. Now it’s hard because he buys whatever he wants. Limit is $50-60. HELP!

Seeking Advice on a Parent’s Wedding Gift for My Daughter

My daughter is getting married early next month, and I’m still trying to decide on the right wedding gift for her.

My wife and I divorced last year. Originally, I thought it would be nice for us to put some money together and give our daughter one meaningful wedding gift from both of us. Unfortunately, my ex-wife wasn't interested in doing that, so I've decided to choose and pay for the gift myself.

After looking at several options, I’m seriously considering a 1 oz American Gold Eagle Proof Coin in its original presentation box.

I want to give my daughter something special that she can keep for many years, something with real value but also a meaningful reminder of her father on her wedding day.

I would really appreciate some honest opinions, especially from parents who have been through this. Would you consider this a thoughtful and generous wedding gift, or would you recommend something different?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

My best friend's (20 M) bday is coming up and I need help giving him something valuable.

I have already brought him a watch and a die cast of BMW (idk what model and stuff like that, i am not a car enthusiast).

Apart from these I do need to give him something that may be memorable or he can look back and reminisce with a smile...

Do y'all have anything that would help me ...

“What’s a meaningful online gift I can make for a girl I love before she leaves the country for a month?”

I (21M) want to do something special for a girl I really love, and she loves me too, but we aren’t officially together yet.
She’s going out of the country for a while, and we won’t be able to talk much during that time. I can’t meet her before she leaves, but I still want to give her something meaningful online.
I want it to be something she’ll remember, something personal that makes her feel special without making our relationship too obvious, since we’re not official yet.
I’ve thought about making some “open when” letters, but I’d love to hear other ideas too. Something digital, creative, and genuinely meaningful, not just a basic playlist or a long paragraph.
What would you guys suggest? I’d really appreciate any ideas.

Looking for Gift Ideas good ideas for advent calendars for adults in a budget?

i’m surprising my family with a trip to disney world for christmas so i’m trying to find something lower budget for advent calendars. i need 6 total, so i think $25 each ish is a decent budget? i have considered chocolate ones but unfortunately one of the people im getting an advent calendar is a little one with greedy clever fingers who just can’t understand leaving other peoples treats alone, and i want these calendars to stay out all month, not ones hidden away. that ruins the magic for me.
anyway, the little one is 12, the rest are 21 and up, but no one drinks or anything like that. honestly no one in particular has hobbies overall, and their interests are on the nicher side (broadway, dr who, niche old disney films they don’t make anything for trust me i’ve tried, etc etc) so i’m looking for some fun ideas.

i’m also going to do a star wars life day one as a family that i’ve already bought and tucked away, im considering doing one of the game ones like the clue one, again to build anticipation and have the magic of christmas occuring all month long.

this family is actually my fiancés, and overall other than my fiancé they lack a lot of the christmas spirit so i want to get everyone as excited and in the spirit of christmas to make the big gift have a bigger payoff. so anyway thats why i want advent calendars haha. any recommendations are good ones!

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift idea needed for my parents

I am 27 years old (M) and am the youngest of 4. My parents were a bit older when they had me (39) so now they are 66. It upsets me a little when I see other people my age whose parents are just turning 50 or 55. Because of that, I make sure to appreciate them and enjoy every moment I have with them. Family is everything to me.

Anyways, I’m looking for a simple gift I can give to them that involves a letter or note about how much I appreciate them for everything they have done for me and the rest of our family and how much I love them. My fear is not letting them know how I feel before it’s too late. I’m sure there are many people in the world who lose their parents and never get the chance to let them know how much they mean to them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

“Don't wait until it's too late to pour your heart out. Tell the people you love what they mean to you while they're still here to hear it, because someday, the words you leave unspoken may be the ones you regret the most.”

friend’s first apartment

I’m looking for unique “housewarming” gift ideas to congratulate my friend on moving in to her first apartment! All of my searches on Amazon and Etsy have been pretty much a miss. I don’t want to purchase any pans or other household items she might have a specific preference on or of quality that I’m not confident in.

What would you have loved to been gifted when moving out on your own for the first time??

Age: 28
Budget: $100ish
Hobbies: baking, crafts, crochet, taylor swift, loves her dog

Looking for Gift Ideas Copper suggestions?

Does anyone have any ideas for a “copper” anniversary gift? It’s for my husband, and I wanted something practical or at least an actual gift of that makes sense - everything I’ve seen tends be just symbolic or decorative.

He’s early 30s very into his coffee machine set up, pizza oven, football (well Soccer, we’re in the UK), music, hiking with our dog, board games, watching tv/films

Looking for Gift Ideas animal-themed gifts for a 5-year-old who loves animals

my nephew's birthday is coming up soon, and he's been really into animals lately. i'd like to get him something he'll have fun with, but i'm running out of ideas beyond stuffed animals.

i've thought about getting him some animal figures he can play with, a book about wildlife, or maybe something he can make himself. i also saw some KiwiCo kits with little building and learning activities, which looked like they could be fun for his age.

he's only five, so i don't want anything too complicated or that needs an adult to help with every step. something he can mess around with on his own and come back to later would be great.

what have you given kids this age who love animals? did they get more use out of toys, books, or activity kits? i'm open to ideas i might not have thought of yet.

Help me choose my boyfriend’s bday gift

I’m trying to find a birthday gift for my boyfriend, but he’s genuinely so hard to shop for because he already has everything and has very expensive taste. He loves philosophy, poetry, literature, and art, especially Caspar David Friedrich and Vermeer. He’s a Sufi and is very interested in Islamic philosophy, Rumi, divine oneness, and the idea of seeing God’s signs throughout creation. He’s fascinated by the concept of time, existence, and the deeper meaning behind things, and he loves Waiting for Godot, especially the line “Nothing to be done.” He also loves fine watches, Creed Aventus, and reading, and he has a beautiful, peaceful personal library filled with books and artwork. I want to get him something elegant, artistic, intellectually interesting, and genuinely meaningful rather than something generic. My budget is around $100–$200, and I’ve been considering something related to time, like a unique sundial or a beautifully crafted object for his library, but open to anything else. Any ideas? I want it to be classy, nothing tacky or cheap looking if you get what I mean. Thank you in advance!!

Looking for Gift Ideas i don’t know what to get for my boyfriend at all.

hello reddit, i cannot for the absolute life of me decide what to get my boyfriend (28m) for christmas this year! i have asked him a million times and he just says he don’t know. i usually spend about ~$500 on him for christmas, i did get him an early present of a superbox for him to watch football which was about $300 so i think im going to do about $300-400 worth this year. the only things i have picked out for him is the Ocirina of Time remake that is coming out, a steelers shirt, and a labubu (he likes the word and has no idea what a labubu is so i was going to get him one lol).

he likes gaming, but he dosent really collect anything regarding that like i do. he has a pc, ps5 pro and a switch 2. his pc is brand new so new parts aren’t really in that, he has a new headset and mouse and keyboard as well. he has no other interests or hobbies, he hunts but he’s not like super into it that he would want gifts aimed towards it. i typically get him new work clothes but we ended up having to get new ones already so i can’t get those. we don’t really go out to dinner because we prefer to be home after working all week so gift cards aren’t the best option either.

his favorite game is the witcher 3, he likes me and our cat, he don’t care about clothes or what he wears, doesn’t wear cologne, and he likes watching tv shows quite a wide variety of series.

everything i search online just shows me weird cheesy gifts that are things that would get thrown in a drawer and never used, like graphic t shirts, mugs, wallets, keychains, beard related stuff, and basically anything you see when you search “boyfriend christmas gifts” on amazon or online.

im at a complete loss of what else to get, he is not giving me any ideas at all and i just have no idea what to get :(

Looking for Gift Ideas Gift idea for boyfriend birthday

So his birthday is in a few weeks and giving gift is the toughest thing for me.

A little background:
We have been together for 3 years. We are both in late 20s. He works from home, has a Porsche that he really cherishes. I was almost thinking of giving him something car related (but I would not know what tbh). My plan is to give him one major gift a few small ones. Small ones are not an issue but I want help with the major one. Either something car related, or phone/tech related, or anything else? Budget for major gift: around 150 usd.

Thankyou!!

Looking for Gift Ideas Looking for friend

Helloooo, my friend (who is basically my sister) is turning 24! She loves perfume and makeup and all the regular stuff which is why im getting her a Kayali perfume discovery set. I wanna get her something on top of that tho.

She doesn't wear too much jewelry but I think she'd like it anyways. I was thinking of doing like an engraved necklace (but theyre kinda too expensive to give with something else). She loves ethel cain, slayyter, tinashae, 1975, and more. Budget would probs be like 20-30$ cause the set is already 20!!

Thanks in advance!!!

Gift ideas for college kids?

Already giving gift cards, but want something physical to go with it. She’s a sophomore. Already has an air fryer, a laptop, nice dishes, and a coffee maker (and most of the commonly suggested items). She isn’t a big hobby person. She used to enjoy reading, not sure if she still does. She’s a pretty stereotypical college student otherwise

Looking for Gift Ideas Secret Santa for nephew-in-law

I was happy when I saw my secret Santa person because he fit an idea I had, but now I’m second guessing.

He’s about 30, small town midwestern cop, father of a toddler. I’d thought to get a remote control excavator…thinking it would be funny to play with at the park/beach with his daughter, or on the floor with her little toys.

My doubt is coming in because the ones in budget $50-75 are more kid toys than impressive grown up RC vehicles. Any other guy in the family, I know well enough to think it wouldn’t be insulting. He’s a good natured guy and will be polite but I’d rather get something he’d like.

Is this a generally fun thing? Better ideas that aren’t the usual meat, booze, coffee themes?

Looking for Gift Ideas Request - sports score tracking?

My son is 7 years old and obsessed with sports scores, mostly American football and baseball, both professional and collegiate. Every single day he asks me to look up standing and scores and schedules for him. I’m trying to find things like calendars or dry-erase or magnetic blank bracket posters with team magnets or something. Something he could hang on his wall or put on a desk to visually keep scores, maybe.

I can definitely work on DIY’ing something like this, but I’m trying to get a head start on Christmas ideas and something more polished than whatever I can create might be a nice idea.

Any gift ideas for young kids obsessed with tracking sports scores and schedules?

Looking for Gift Ideas Looking for a dad gift to go with our mom gift

Post image
1 Upvotes

Please note: He is super hard to shop for, so if any idea doesn't suit him, please know that it is not an indication of the idea's quality.

My siblings and I are each getting our mom a blown glass flower corresponding with our own birth month, which can then all go together in a vase. It's like a family ring but with flowers.

I would love it if we could do something like this for our dad but I'm stumped for ideas. Partly because he doesn't have any defined hobbies and partly because all the stereotypical dad gifts don't really suit him. The closest idea I have is a wallet (only thought of this because his is getting old) with our birth stones in it somehow.

About the gift:

- Should not be consumable, so no food, etc. It should be a forever keepsake like the vase of flowers.

- The flowers for mom will be about $20 per person, so something comparable would be nice, either in actual price or perceived price.

About my dad:

- 74 years old.

- Had to work pretty hard most of his life so he didn't really have time to develop hobbies.

- Although he doesn't have hobbies, if I had to pick something close, I would say driving, fishing, snowmobiling.

Thanks in advance!
