I always try to save my games with whacky titles so I can laugh later in replays.

Just for fun I’m putting together a set based on Nancy drew. What are some items, places, and people you’d wanna see in the set? A fellow redditor made these and gave me the idea.

I've always favored the Nancy Drew files series, as well as the Minstrel and the Aladdin versions of the original mystery series due to their badass portrayals of Nancy Drew as well as their plots, but DAMN, the illustrations of these revised text versions of the original mystery series are still unbeatable.

Also, what this series captures is the atmosphere and the adventure aspect of the Nancy Drew series, and the illustrations sure do help to CAPITALIZE on it. You also get a visual peak of what it was like during those times.

Follow up to my custom magic the gathering Nancy drew set

I have physical copies of every game but I do not have the original plastic cases for games 1 through 5 (I have them in CD jewel cases and I want to print the cover image to stick to the inside of the jewel case so it looks vaguely like it would if it were the proper case).

Does anyone know where I can find 4 ¾" by 4 ¾" images to print and attach to the jewel cases the discs are in?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if discussion is the right flair for this, but I didn't know what else to put it as

I replayed Trail of the Twister last week and it felt like the most I can remember from any game, but idk.

On the TV:
Detective Beech (Secrets Can Kill)
The outside of WWB is shown (Stay Tuned For Danger)
The set of Light of Our Love is Shown (Stay Tuned For Danger)
A preview for “Watching Waverly”
Madame McKay (Danger by Design)

On the radio, there is a legal ad for “workplace incidents” referencing:

Carousel accidents (Haunted Carousel)
Darkroom mishaps (Danger by Design)
Lava (Kapu Cave)
Rocket launches (Castle Malloy)
Boulders (Last Train??)
(also on one of the radio ads, the “it’s locked” soundbite plays)

In the general store/museum, there’s a box from Wickford (can’t remember if it was cheese or chocolates lol, Royal Tower)

This month I have also replayed Crystal Skull, Haunted Carousel, Seven Ships, and Blackmoor Manor, and I only caught a handful of references in those games. Less recently, I remember Old Clock and Alibi in Ashes having more references to the books than other games.

Which game has the most? Does any game reference all of the previous games?

This was initially a board I created on Pinterest, and I wanted to make a collage, inspired by similar collages on this sub :)

I just played 12 Memory Lane after adding it to my steam library a while ago. It's short, 1-2 hours, and free. Gameplay not like ND (not point and click), but you snoop around the house of an older man experiencing dementia and try to piece together his past relationships with family.

The setting is beautiful and cozy, the premise is quite sad. Also CW: mental health, addiction.

Anyway, hope you all enjoy it! As I said, it's free :)

Abdullah please I’ll do anything. And I mean anything. To stay on this site.

Games I didn't feel like finishing because I wasn't enjoying them:
Shadow Ranch - the saddle pmo
Last Train - felt claustrophobic
Silent Spy - eh I prefer the older games
Treasure in the Royal Tower - I kept hitting a wall on my replay. It reminded me of playing as a kid, I could never beat it but my friend did and I was so mad at the time lol

Any popular games that you chose not to finish?

Inspired by the other thread asking who your “hear me out” character is.

Yuri got no love when even the monster from Captive Curse did.

Yuri deserves love too :(

I’m interested in everyone’s favorite goodbye saying from the games.

When you're stuck on Shadow at the Waters Edge but you refuse to use hints so Nancy's just forced to wander the halls and make bento over..... and over..... and over again...

I love mini games, ESPECIALLY cooking ones! I just finished playing Ugoku Sushi Bar and loved it, felt like the vibe of a mini game, there's even a fishing mini game! What are your favorites? What game do they remind you of?

Breaking out a spooky one for the season, too.

A friend of mine streamed a playthrough of this game, my first time experiencing anything Nancy Drew. It was a grand time, and because I enjoy meme-ing what I enjoy, felt compelled to draw up a college of experiences from this game.

This franchise seems great, and I hope my joy from it can be felt in this.

maybe i've been unemployed for too long

one of the half prices near me always seems to have something fun! im not sure what the "purse" with the two flashlights inside was done for, I've never seen it before and same with that old clock with the purple dust jacket. gonna have to do some research to find out but either way they were so fun and different I had to get them for my collection. also found a British edition dust jacket. I love that they are dust jackets but have the spine that looks like the American picture covers and the book itself is red instead of blue 😍

CUR is my favorite game and I have been avoiding it like the plague during my no walkthrough Master Sleuth run 😂

9 hours of gameplay, 15 pages of notes, so many retracings of steps, and lots of games with Jane later, and I succeeded! I LOVED sitting in this game, forcing myself to take breaks when feeling hopelessly lost or stuck, and just immersing myself in all the Penvellyn lore.

I love that my award at the end of the game was for playing a lot of games with lonely Jane. 🤧 my skull and bones buddy lol

I think I got a good amount of the optional haunting scenes! Maybe all of them? The benefit of spending so much time in the game haha

there is an app where you can see if there’s any near you, there were a lot more than I expected in my area!

I’m sure this isn’t the most unhinged choice but this is mine
