I've been going down the rabbit hole with peels lately.

A surprisingly big part of the process is finding the right pairing: colors, composition, atmosphere, crop, and how the two original artworks work together.

I ended up making quite a lot of different designs and experimenting with different ways of matching the donor artwork to old-frame basics.

Definitely want to give credit to the people who were making peel alters before me tho. Seeing their work is what got me interested in trying this in the first place.

Here are a few of mine. Curious to hear which ones work best for you.

P.S. Mods: I used the “Foil Peel Alter” flair since there doesn’t seem to be a non-foil/art peel option. Happy to change it if another flair is preferred.

Hey guys, you've probably seen our project at this point. I'm happy to tell you that Essential Territories is live and funded by 100+ backers. Thank you so much for those who supports us!

If you haven't seen this: we are a group of rogue artists from Lithuania (three of us play Commander), and we are making our very own full-art lands "Secret Lair" :D Everything is 100% human-made, no AI. The fifth "participant" is classical Lithuanian painter M. K. Čiurlionis (1875-1911), we also added 11 extra proxy non-basic staple lands featuring his work.

As always, any feedback is welcome!

Hi everyone! It’s been a minute! I’m painting a lot lately and I’ve forgotten to post the end results, so here are the last 3 I’ve finished!

As always, you can DM me anytime, I’m almost always online and don’t have a life except when I go run around the lands between. Or Azeroth soon enough xD

You can check out my insta for a bunch of videos, process and whatnot. Also here’s my website. 🥰🫶🌈

Important news: I will be raising my prices starting November, so heads up! 👀🤭

Today's card is a Human Tokin'

Garnet, Princess of Alexandria!

Hand-drawn with Sakura Micron pens on a stripped foil MTG card, referenced from the beautiful official FFIX illustration by Reo Obata.

This commission was definitely a challenge! There’s so much detail and beauty in the original artwork, and translating all those softer colours and textures into nothing but black ink took a bit of patience.

Always a pleasure getting to bring one of my favourite games to life on a Magic card!

I've finished Forest #3. Only one more to go!!!

Sold! 🥰

Erode isn't done yet, but the other two are supposed to be. One is a little better than the others.

First foil sol ring, I actually mostly finished this a while ago and put the final details on it last night. $110 with free shipping, DM me if interested :)

For day #24 of inktober I’ve got the original alien poster for Poland!

Commissioned alter of Toph as adult Toph from the new Avatar movie!

Alter was made with explicit permission from the original fanartist, "sterling" on Bluesky! (@pencilcomics.bsky.social) Please follow them if you have a bsky account 🩷

Don't worry, Krenkostiltskin can't hurt you, as long as you have removal.

Thanks for looking.

Looks best if you hold your phone an arms length away.

Been on a mini-quest to make Roger's personas into cards/tokens lol

It's silly how many actual cards work with American Dad scenes too

It's not my birthday, but Beast Whisperer is probably my favorite Magic card.
Things I learned from this piece: drawing things face on is hard, I need to get better with formatting.

Hand Painted.
