Photo Is my hawk moth cocoon dead?
The video above is from just yesterday I will show pics of what it is today in the replies
Ive had it for about a month and 3 weeks and its had movement and wiggled around as ive had it and just yesterday it was moving and wiggling up and down but today I checked it and theres no movement at all and the cocoon feels very brittle but the abdomen can still be moved around it just doesnt wiggle or move ive been keeping it in a lightly misted paper towel in an enclosure and checking on it and everything but im just really worried since theres no movement and its brittle.

Photo Look at my new bowtie
Found this moth at my university, she randomly landed on my shirt after I tried to move her. She was moving slow and erratically so I think she was on her final hours. Very cute.

General Question Anyone owning moths in a cold house?
I want to get into keeping moths but my biggest problem would be temperature. My room itself is rather cold maximum getting up to 20, but when its winter it'd probably stay at 16-18. I do have setups for my other critters with heatmats but when it comes to moths I was planning on a net enclosure, which wouldn't really retain heat.
Does anyone have any tips? What do you guys do personally? Or what would you do

I’m planning to buy maybe 20 moths at least and keep them alive for at least a day and then I’ll release them. Where can I buy them and how should I store them?

ID Request Tiny moths in my room?
Hey all, new here so not totally sure how to do this, but these lil guys have been appearing in my room for a while now and i wasnt sure if they were flies or moths at first, but i dont want to kill them if theyre moths. I took a picture and did an image search and the closest species i could see to it was stereomita andropogonis, but i know nothing abt moths so im probably wrong lol. For scale, the pic is zoomed in on my mousepad, so this thing is tiny, its not even a centimeter. Help would be appreciated!

General Question (PA, USA) How do I find polyphemus moth cocoons?
So our birch tree has two of these fatsos. Anyhow I am pretty sure they have now left to become cocoons. My concern is that I read online they might cocoon in the leaf litter under the tree or their cocoons will fall there. I do not want them to be mowed over. So is this true?
If so I'd like to find them and move them somewhere safe

Photo Moths enjoying a banana
I forgot a banana outside on the deck, and something chowed down on it. Then, all these moths decided they were interested too!
I don't really know anything about moths, just thought that was kinda cool.

Photo Moth!
This pretty little guy was crawling around on the ground bc we had a mild cold snap in the desert (tucson,az ) let it crawl on to my jacket and put it in a tree so it was safe.
Its been a good season this year for the pollinators!
