It fell off after I accidentally brushed against the plant and then I put it back, that’s the only reason it was in my hand

Hey update!
I decided to let Mother Nature do her thing while I was out of state for a week. I came back, and they were huge! But unfortunately, we went from 7 to 3….
Temps have averaged 50°F. I got a mesh butterfly/caterpillar cage to put outside, and I bought organic parsley from the store. I put the whole parsley planter and the two bundles of parsley in the cage. I really hope this is a good solution. I will keep you guys updated :)

Haven’t shared them in a while but they’re doing great! I kept a group of about 15 individuals to raise and released the rest. Just realised I haven’t really given an update on my group in a long time!

They’re mostly all in their 3rd instar and are doing really well. They are loving lilly pilly and love to cluster together whenever the soft pink new growth is available. They also have Koelrutia Elegans available but lilly pilly seems to be their favourite.

I believe 4th instar is where Olene mendosa start to show sexual dimorphism in their larval stage. Olivia started to look a lot hairier around 4th instar whereas Ollie stayed relatively similar in appearance to how these 3rd instars look currently. Will be very interesting to see them after their next moult.

I saw this caterpillar today and I can’t figure out what kind it is. I’m in western Pennsylvania.

Found it on some shallow sand in the rain in my garden, should I put it into the vegetation? Thanks!

I’m so scared right now I was checking my pupae so I could move them to a better area and I found a few mildly disformed but I found two clearly dead; this one is one of the clearly dead ones

After closer inspection I see little critters inside the empty shell of the pupae,, I’m really scared because I’m worried now that whatever these little guys are might hurt my other hornworms,, I’m so so scared

What should I do? I used eco earth soil for them and I’m so worried for my other pillars :((

Hello, i just found this little guy burrowing in my backyard in Phoenix, AZ. A Google lens search says it's a White Lined Sphinx Moth pupa. I was hoping for confirmation or enlightenment if it's another species.
