Giveaway [GIVEAWAY] The latest Tandem WOLED featuring RGB Stripe pixel technology - ASUS PG32UCWM

Asus Tandem WOLED PG32UCWM r/Monitors Giveaway Event

Hello r/Monitors!

We’re giving away one ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCWM. It boasts the latest Tandem WOLED featuring RGB Stripe pixel technology, bringing OLED’s deep blacks together with improved text and image clarity. We’ll have one winner for the monitor, plus three additional winners who will each receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

Whether you’re into competitive gaming, display technology, or just interested in trying out something new, feel free to enter!

Key Features

Primary RGB Tandem 2.0

Primary RGB Tandem is a device technology that replaces the three-layer structure of the existing OLED device — Blue, Yellow, Blue — by splitting the Yellow layer into Green and Blue, thereby stacking pure Red, Green, and Blue into four independent layers. This enhances brightness and color gamut while improving power efficiency. After the launch of Primary RGB Tandem 1.0 in 2025, Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 was introduced in 2026, featuring a refined device structure and driving algorithms for even greater performance.

RGB Stripe Subpixel Layout & 140PPI — Sharper Text, Truer Color

A true RGB Stripe subpixel layout means sharper text and more accurate color. Paired with a 140 PPI UHD resolution, every icon, line of text, and fine detail renders with exceptional clarity. It goes beyond conventional gaming monitor boundaries, making it equally viable for office and professional applications.

Unparalleled HDR & Enriched Color Depth

True Black 400 certification, up to 1000nits of peak brightness, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, and 10-bit color combine to create HDR that's both punchy and accurate.

Perfect Visual Experience in Any Environment

Powered by ultra-low reflection technology, Tandem WOLED achieves an industry-leading reflectance of just 1.1%, maintaining exceptional picture quality — with no black blooming and no color fading — even in bright environments.

Dual Mode & Fastest Response Time

Dual Mode lets you switch between 4K at 240Hz for detail-heavy work or FHD at 480Hz when you need max frame rate. 0.03ms G2G response time — 100 times faster than LCD panels — makes every frame razor-sharp in fast-paced FPS gaming.

Human Friendly

Certified Eyesafe by minimizing blue light in both circadian-disrupting and eye-harmful ranges. A glare-free, immersion-first display that keeps your eyes comfortable for extended play.

Discussion How common is burn-in for a QD-OLED now?

Post image
21 Upvotes

MSI MAG 273QP QD-OLED X24 is what im planning to buy for gaming.

It may be used for multiple hours per day. I've heard "QD-OLED" is more prone in to burn in after 3 years which is when the warranty ends. How true is this? This one is priced £350 which is fair for me. Should i go for this? If not can you guys recommend something thats equal or better but with more better burn in prevention.

Text Review MSI MPG 272URX – My experience with this 27” 4K 240Hz QD-OLED

I've been testing the MSI MPG 272URX, a 27-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED with Samsung's 4th-gen Penta Tandem panel.

I really liked its bigger 32-inch brothers, the MSI MPG 321URX and 322URX, but this one brings that 4K experience to a smaller format, which I personally find really interesting.

Text clarity is fantastic at 166 PPI, with no visible color fringing in my testing.

Color coverage is also excellent. I measured 99.92% sRGB, 95.69% Adobe RGB and 99.23% DCI-P3. In HDR, I got 99.23% DCI-P3 and 76.88% BT.2020, using CIE 1976 u'v'.

SDR brightness reaches around 264 nits and stays very consistent. In HDR, I measured over 1,080 nits in small highlights, dropping to around 490 nits at a 10% window.

One thing I don't particularly like is that you can't manually adjust HDR brightness through the OSD. The Peak 1000 mode also has some EOTF tracking issues in brighter scenes.

Motion clarity is excellent at 240Hz. I noticed VRR flicker during aggressive stress tests with large FPS fluctuations, although I haven't really noticed it during normal gaming. Gray uniformity is also very good on my unit.

Connectivity is another strong point: DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 for uncompressed 4K 240Hz 10-bit with a compatible GPU, plus USB-C with 98W Power Delivery and KVM, which makes it quite useful for productivity too.

It was announced at CES 2025, and since then its price has dropped quite a bit, making it a much more interesting option today.

Overall, I think it's a really solid monitor if you want 4K OLED gaming without moving up to 32 inches.

Anyone else using the 272URX? How has your experience been with HDR and VRR flicker?

Discussion Gigabyte M27Q2 QD viewing angle / eye strain

Yesterday I received my new gigabyte M27Q2 QD 27" IPS monitor. The moment I turned it on for the first time I noticed something felt off. It feels like my eyes want to look 'through' the monitor (focus on a point further away, like you would with VR). I constantly have to fight my eyes trying to focus on the screen.

I've used a TN panel for the last 6 years (acer XB241H), also practically lived in VR since I got my quest 3, never had any issues with motion sickness or other discomfort. I expected the viewing angle to be better on an IPS. There's a strong vignetting effect on my new monitor (see video).

https://youtu.be/dNnI5oBoSG4

I cannot use it for more than an 15 minutes before I start getting dizzy/nauseas. I noticed that especially in gaming, the icons on my HUD would almost look like they were floating on top of the screen (so perceived as closer to the eye, again like 2D hud elements would look in VR).

Anyone know what is causing this? So I can RMA it and use this info to buy a monitor that's right for me.

Things I've tried and learned:

Disabling VRR - no change

Disabling Aim Stabilizer Sync (backlight strobing) - no change

Reducing Brightness (I always use any screen on 100%) - Ever so slightly more comfortable, but didn't solve anything

The monitor uses a BGR subpixel layout instead of the normal RGB, can this be what's causing this?

It's my first monitor that uses a QD layer

Perhaps the coating? If I turn my head to the side and look at the screen, I can see a chromatic aberration effect. Is this tricking my eyes into thinking there's depth to the image?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Edit: I pushed myself into finding out what's causing discomfort and I'm starting to think it's ips glow (maybe backlight bleeding), combined with bad viewing angles.

Edit 2: Even looking at a completely black screen tricks my eyes into thinking there's depth, making me go cross-eyed.

TLDR: Gigabyte M27Q2 QD monitor causing severe eyestrain/nausea after 15 minutes. OP asking for experiences from others, and helpful info to pinpoint problem before buying new monitor.

Discussion Currently using a 21" 1080p 144hz monitor, looking to upgrade need advises

Hi, I am currently rocking a MSI G24C 1080p 144hz monitor for like 8 years now? It's good I love it, but clearly it's really small and I really dislike gaming on my PC due to the size.

I have a triple screen setup (3x1080p, 2 random and the MSI)

I am torn between several options, ideally the least expensive one (below 500€)

- An ultrawide VA monitor (Like the Alienware AW3225DM for example)

- A classic 2k or 4k monitor

- A good oled one? (MAG 272QPW QD-OLED X28 for example)

I don't need anything more than 144hz, but more is always good, I don't need anything special hardware wise, I'm just looking for a good screen, I have a 5080 performances is not a problem. Ideally if it works with G-sync (Nvidia also supports some free-sync monitors so this works as well I guess) and has HDR it's a plus

I played on an ultrawide before and I love it, however I really don't like having to tinker around to make apps and games work on ultrawide or have two huge black bars when I play games (I play CS 2 a lot for example)

I'm also doing a lot of productivity work (programming, Unity, 3d modeling / Blender)

Hello. Would this be a good monitor for a base Ps5? Would it work well the GTA 6 which will run at 30fps? Read that it could look kind of "stuttery" when playing games at 30 fps

Guys, this is my Samsung Ls24R356Fhwxxl 24 Inch monitor I use for work. Over time it has peeled like you see in the pics. I’m right now using tape to keep it in place, but since I’m the handy man around at home, can someone tell me how I glue this for good?
PS: the display works just fine

Discussion MO32U24 vs MSI 322urX24

• Upvotes

Hi guys,

I’m split between these two QD-OLED monitors. For 100 euros more, MSI has DP 2.1, is it worth paying for a 9850x3D + 5080 rig ?

Thanks for your help

Discussion Does this monitor look good.

I’m trying to upgrade from my current 1080p 165hz(VA). I like my current VA monitor but I’m looking for a higher resolution and refresh rate. Do VA panels still look good at 300fps? I’ve been reading a lot about them having ghosting issues. I mostly play first person shooters like Wardogs and r6.

Video Review IPS glow vs. backlight bleed

• Upvotes

Need help!! Bought this monitor months ago but never noticed this potential issue until I started playing really dark videos.

Main issue:
The TOP-LEFT corner and the UPPER-RIGHT side of the monitor have bright spots that dim or brighten depending on the angle, but they never go away. Only the intensity changes depending on the angle I look at. I am unsure if this ips glow or backlight bleed, would appreciate your input!!

Discussion Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor settings for reducing eye strain and reading

The Samsung Odyssey G7 is an excellent monitor, but its out-of-the-box settings are aggressive. Its settings can be adjusted for comfortable reading, coding, and reducing eye fatigue.

Here are the custom configuration I use to make this VA panel comfortable, and the reasoning behind each choice:

Discussion HP OMEN Transcend 32 OLED – Screen turns into static, but OSD menu works fine. Any ideas?

• Upvotes

Hi everyone!
My HP OMEN Transcend 32 OLED (4K, 240Hz) suddenly started showing grey/white static after a few minutes of use. The OSD menu still works perfectly, as you can see in the video.
What I’ve already tried:
Both HDMI and DisplayPort.
Connecting to another laptop.
Different resolutions and refresh rates, including 1080p 60Hz.
Connecting directly to a wall outlet.
Updating the firmware.
Restarting the monitor using its power button — doesn’t help.
Unplugging the power cable — temporarily fixes it, but the issue returns after a few minutes.
The audio continues working even when the image disappears. Disconnecting HDMI/DP also makes the static disappear.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? Has anyone experienced something similar?

Discussion Acer Nitro XV272U F3 – Indian vs international version

• Upvotes

I'm planning to buy the Indian SKU UM.HX2SI.303. I found colour gamut measurements on different websites for the international SKU UM.HX2EE.317, showing around 99% DCI-P3.

Acer India support couldn't confirm whether both SKUs use the same panel. 😭

What do you guys think? Will the Indian version have similar colour performance to the international version? Has anyone tested the Indian model?

Discussion WOLED image retention or burn-in help

I have recently purchased a Gigabyte GO27Q24G 1440p 3rd gen WOLED display, and would like to ask if this is a manufacturing defect, image retention or burn-in? There's this circle thing in the display (ignore the front camera red LED). IIRC this was already present from day 1, and it's still there after 13 pixel refreshes.

Should I return this guys? Thank you.

Discussion HDR Really blown out sometimes, but inconsistent.

I've been having this issue lately where my bottom monitor is sometimes blowing the HDR into oblivion, it only seems to do this on videos not games. I've tried calibrating the HDR and still the same issue.

Sometimes it's completely fine and works as expected then will randomly turn into this cursed version.

What could it be and how can I fix it?
