I have a medication I take daily, while taking it I’ve had to increase the daily dose. At one point I just switched to 36mg and was given a 90 day supply by the specialty pharmacy. During the first month the doctor increased the dose again leaving me with 2 unopened bottles. There are several charities that accept unopened bottles of medication and get it to people that really need it. Considering that the cheapest you can find one bottle for is 12k on good Rx, I’m sure these would help someone significantly. When I tried to donate I was told it is illegal to donate medications that were paid for by Medicare (I’m disabled). So instead of helping to improve someone’s life, my only option is to trash tens of thousands of dollars.

We live in a capitalist hellscape where nothing is real, everything is unaffordable, and even when you splurge on some Dubai chocolate style cakes at Walmart the corporate greed is so thick that at the end of the day you still can't have a sliver of whatever Dubai chocolate is supposed to be like.

Was going for a walk in my neighborhood and we have a neighbor who has a lab. Im walking on the sidewalk and can hear two dogs growling and look over and see the lab is agitated because of another neighbors dog behind the fence and then the dog looks over at me (i think I might have surprised it?) Growls and starts running full speed toward me. His yard is not fenced. I have not had great experiences with large dogs, dont know this dog, and just feel pure panic and scream. Dog stops at least and neighbor comes out of his garage which faces the alley and not the sidewalk and calls his dog over and pulls out his ear buds looking irritated. I tell him that his dog just ran at me and his response is to scoff and say he didn't. I say yes he did and he repeats the same way that he didn't and I repeat yes he did. Guy says in a condescending tone "ok bye " and waves and goes in his garage. I just left because I wanted to get away and couldn't believe how he approached the situation. Ive never talked with this neighbor and hope I never have to again.

Every Wednesday this grocery store changes its weekly sales items. I would go into the store's app to clip the coupons for the hot ticket items for that week. I needed sliced bread and the coupon was for the 20oz size of a particular brand of any flavor/variety. This store always has issues with not updating their sales in their system so I would have to show the employee my clipped digital coupon and they would manually adjust it after confirming.

Well this one employee looked at the bread and said "It's the wrong size. You grabbed the 4oz size" and that's why it wasn't going through. She clearly missed the "1lb" and only looked at the "oz" number. I explained to her that it says 1lb 4oz which equals 20 oz but she wasn't getting it. Finally another employee came and adjusted it for me.

I am in the middle of military training, and I wanted to eat some "real" food. I went to the commissary to get a salad kit and, well, I guess I picked the bag with extra protein. Found a fly in the topping packet.

I’m traveling abroad and a cold caller called me while I was adjusting to the jet lag. I could not sleep at all afterwards.

on normal days I don’t eat more than one meal a day but when I drink a few drinks I can eat like 5 buffets. now I’m $120 poorer, drunk, and my stomach is killing me. yes this is my own fault, I’m infuriated purely at myself and nobody else.

I live in a fairly busy subdivision, been here for almost 18 years now. There are always a lot of solicitors. I usually get someone trying to sell me something or sign me up for some service about twice a week, at least. It's fairly excessive. I have a Roku doorbell camera that shows a notification on my TV so I can decide to answer the door or not. I can also talk to the visitor from the app on my phone. The doorbell is mounted in the middle of my front door and underneath the doorbell I have a nice oil rubbed bronze "No Soliciting" plaque. If someone is reaching for the doorbell, they absolutely cannot miss seeing the sign. But they choose to ignore it. If I'm not expecting someone 9 times out of 10 I'll ignore the doorbell but it still irritates me anyway. For example, I was waiting for an Amazon delivery today when the doorbell rang then a knock on the window next to the door. I asked who it was & nobody said anything so I figured it was my delivery and decided to go check because my TV wasn't on and I didn't know where my phone was.

I opened the door and it was some damn Mormon missionaries. They smiled and said, "Hellooooo!" Ohhhhh, I was so irritated. I really let them have it. I pointed at the sign and yelled, "This means you guys too!!! I know you saw this!" There might have been a few cuss words thrown in there as well. I never saw a pair of young men turn around and scram so fast.

Here's the thing... I'm disabled. I have several pain conditions. It takes considerable effort for me to get up and get to the door in the first place.

I just feel like these unwanted visitors of any capacity are so intrusive and a violation of my privacy. If I wanted new Internet service, I know how to find it. Same with solar panels or whatever else they want to try to sell me.

And not that these random strangers would know but I'm also a domestic violence victim so I'm very cautious about who I interact with anyways. My home is my safe sanctuary after the abuse so I've become overly protective of it.

And I do not feel bad about being a dick to the Mormons today.

But if anyone has any ideas on how to cut down on the amount of door knocks, that'd be great. I thought about another type of or additional sign with different wording but, like, what about aesthetics? Why should I have to plaster my front door with signs to keep strangers away? I thought No Soliciting was pretty explanatory.

Yes, there as a proper patch under the tape. When that started leaking I tried other things. There is gorilla waterproof tape, then flex seal waterproof putty, then flex seal tape.

Ordered them straight from walmart for delivery, they showed up with clearance stickers for more than half off 🤦. Should i contact customer support and try to get the difference refunded, or is that even worth it with walmart?

For context, I worked anyways from 2-10. She was supposed to be in from 4-12. She texts me around 3 asking if I can close, I assumed that she meant she just needed to be home earlier and would work 4-10 instead, so I said yes. 4 pm comes, then 4:15 I text her asking if she's still coming in because she's never been this late. She says she's not gonna make it and I can call someone else to come in. SHES the store manager. Not me. I get paid minimum wage.

So I called our GM, explained, and then learned that she didn't tell out GM she was calling out either. Just me. So she's rushing to find one of the three people listed to come in. Its a busy rainy night, at an escape room, on a Friday. We are packed. I was lucky the rush didn't start until around 6, which by then the calvary had already arrived and the night went smoothly. Still irritating though.
