Spent $50 on gopro batteries, they showed up like this
Ordered them straight from walmart for delivery, they showed up with clearance stickers for more than half off đ¤Ś. Should i contact customer support and try to get the difference refunded, or is that even worth it with walmart?
Their app mentions that the prices online and in-store may be different. Itâs worth a shot getting the difference back. Maybe youâll have to return it in-store and then purchase it again right away.
Yeah i went in loops with their AI and it kept saying how their policy doesnât cover partial refunds for products that go on clearance after I purchase them. But my thing is - if it wasnât on clearance when I purchased it, how did it show up with a clearance sticker on it?
Unfortunately the website wonât be able to help you. The only way you MIGHT be able to get a ârefundâ of the difference is going to your local store and returning them at full price and asking to repurchase them at the âclearanceâ price.
They just pulled this shit with a sweatshirt. $17.97 and arrived with a $13 clearance sticker. Online customer service said they couldn't refund the difference because it was delivered. I said yup! Delivered from the STORE not a warehouse. I tool to service desk my next shopping trip & got my $ back.
Nice!! Iâm gonna have to try service desk tomorrow, although it did ship from a warehouse because they werenât within a couple hours of me :/. Definitely worth a shot though!
You should ask for the difference back, you got ripped off.
But you should also be prepared for Walmart to say "you agreed to the price on purchase making it a legal contract and you can cram your refund wherever your kind traditionally crams things."
Yeah unfortunately thatâs what iâm thinking. But whatâs funny is if it simply showed up WITHOUT the sticker, I wouldâve been fine because itâs still $10 cheaper than off the official gopro website
If they give you hassle, just have them process a return at the customer service counter and then say you'd like to rebuy those same ones for the sticker price.
Is price match guarantee not a thing anymore? If customer support listens to your case and gives a refund, perfect. If they don't however... here is where maliciousness compliance comes into play... Go to the store and see if it's on the shelf also listed at that reduced price. If so, return the previous one. You have a receipt. You didn't want it. Purchase the new one at the correct what it should have been price. Hassle? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Hostile? Yes, fuck that shit.
I had this happen to me with a 2tb ssd earlier this year, it was already on sale, but it arrived with a significant clearance sticker. Support couldn't help me, but did tell me what store it came from, so I went there and was refunded the difference.
Was shipping listed as free? If so, they probably just factored shipping into the unit cost of the item. Most people wouldnât have bought this if they said â$12.00 each, + $13.00 each for shipping.â Shipping costs that are more than double the item value is a bit nuts, thatâs for sure, but Iâm guessing thatâs what they did here. They played you.
Contact walmart support via chat. I'm often able to get refunds without having to return the product if they did something stupid like that. at the very least they'll probably refund you the difference
Unfortunately the AI took me in a loop, asked for my order number then said it wasnât able to help me and not would a customer service rep. Didnât even give me an option to continue with an actual rep
Everything is cheaper somewhere...it all depends on how much work you want to do.
Would the guy who just paid $306 plus $12.39 shipping on ebay be mad that the same thing is available on Amazon for $319 with free shipping? Probably not...he saved 60 cents.
He might be more mad if he knew I got that item totally free and had it listed elsewhere for $255...and would have discounted it down to $191 if it sat in inventory for a few weeks....but he wanted it now, and I was under no requirement to tell him how to save $128.
Bad form to leave the stickers on...but the minimum wage worker who got the order pick list isn't going to spend an extra 10 seconds removing those stickers to make the company look better.
Not the case here. I work at Walmart. Stores can have clearance prices different from other stores. OP paid the non-clearance normal online price, then a store that had the item on clearance fulfilled the order.
U paid the convenience fee. If u had gone to the store u could have seen the stickers⌠but its easier to click and it appears at ur door- so it costs extra
No. The delivery fee & tip are the payment for convenience. These would have rang up as the price on the sticker when purchased and the leftover balance shouldâve been refunded to OP. Iâve had this happen through DoorDash and they refunded me whatever it was
Yes someone bought them for 12 and sold them to you for 25. They made a profit and you saved money. Thats how any business works. They should have taken the clearance sticker off.
