In the final mission the Diamond Shark leader claims we stormed their base with a superior force, and is just answering in kind. We had two lances, our own and the useless Maruader dudes that somehow seem to find themselves just outside the battle radius no matter where the enemy lands.
Do we think he is referring to superior as sheer tonnage?
Or, do you feel the battles we participate in are just a snap-shot of what is happening all around us? In the final mission you depart on a pair of Unions meaning there could be another 16 mechs on the field, and anyone in their right mind and with that capacity would take it if possible.
I mean, that's how it works in all the other campaigns, so it stands to reason that it's possible, it's just that this time you don't have a house army in your pocket so it's a little different on that account.
So, is the reality that there were up-to two companies actually involved with storming the base, which would actually make your force superior (or at least very close, don't have a count on how many clan mechs are in that first mission, but I would guess 4-5 stars plus the "boss" at the end.
Or, his claim of superior is because you brought 8 assaults and they had mostly light and medium mechs with a few heavy and one assault sprinkled in?
