I'm not completely done with it yet, I just finished the "To me, my Galactus." and it felt... really hollow. I have no idea why.

For background, I've read through the entirety of the Lee-Kirby run and absolutely loved it. I think Kirby is the most imaginative comic creator of all time. Beyond that, I've read much of Amazing Spider-Man, Bendis and Bagley's Ultimate Spider-Man, and plenty of other runs but I only got into comics a few years ago.

But I decided to read Hickman's Fantastic Four run and... it didn't click with me. Maybe it's the art, or maybe I just don't really like Hickman's dialogue, or perhaps the Hickman-esque confusing story arcs that he is so famous for isn't my jive. I'm wondering if anyone else had a similar experience, because I really WANT to like it but don't, and it bothers me.

(I actually DID enjoy Secret Warriors weirdly enough)

Why does The Initiative completely ignore this storyline for no apparent reason? I feel like Thunderbolts and Secret Avengers have a much stronger connection to Eric’s character development in Irredeemable Ant-Man than The Initiative does.

As defined by Urban Dictionary:

"A relationship between two people who are equally as cool as each other. They are as individually awesome and fun to be around as they are when they are together.

"Neither one depends on the other for their feelings of self worth- they know in their heart that they are just as valuable to the world as the other. Good looking, optimistic, and sparks a light in the world that people recognize that goes beyond a normal relationship.

"In a power couple, if one person is flawed, the other person makes up for their weaknesses in strength. Together they are the epitome of what anyone would desire in a relationship. They encourage goodness in the world and make it a better place by being together."

It's like the same X-Men from earth-616 with the same mutants and same personalities but what if vampires attacked mutants I wish Jonathan hickman reimagined their entire new world and origins just like midnight Spider-Man or midnight fantastic four

I’ve never read any comics, but I really want to, do I need a start point or just find a story and go?

I know it’s a stupid question but bare with me 😂

Since I saw about a hundred & more prose of certain Marvel characters with original stories, I would like to hear of your opinions on what stories can be used for adaptation.

Criteria:

1. ONLY ORIGINAL STORIES (No tie in adaptations from Movies, TV shows, etc or storyline from the comics before)

2. Novels in trilogies or series are included

When it comes to Marvel Comics, are the X-Men really THAT far ahead of everybody else?

I’m talking about everything: storytelling, character development, iconic villains, team dynamics, legendary comic runs, cultural impact, and overall legacy.

The Avengers obviously have the MCU behind them, and the Fantastic Four are literally Marvel’s First Family. But when we’re talking strictly comics, I feel like the X-Men have a pretty strong argument for being Marvel’s greatest team.

So what do y’all think? Which Marvel team deserves the throne?

Just a few fanarts I’ve done recently- two of them were commissions for redesigns and one is just a Rivals based design! I just wanted to share and hopefully make some connections!

"Renew your Vows" is an Example.

If heroes existed in our world, how many people would be actually on their side? I think they'd be pretty disliked by the majority of people!

"Those fucking superheroes totalled my car!"

"I JUST bought that house last month and they just flew right through it during their little disagreement!"

Thoughts? 😂

New reader here, and I just started collecting single issues and happened to pick up issue one of Doom: All on one. From what I can tell, this can be a very fun read, with great art and just a cool premise.

But from what I’m reading online, is this really the fourth one shot about Doom marvel has put out in the past year? It makes sense to put Doom everywhere since dooms day is coming out, but my worry is that it affects the comic quality.

Of course I’ll make my own interpretations, but apparently before All on one, there was Challenges of Doom, One world under doom, and then a fourth one? That’s just so much output for one character. And are any of those other one shots any good? I guess im just looking for context. Thank you!

Welcome to Acts of Vengeance: Reddit Edition! Each day we’ll feature a new hero, and your job is to decide which villain becomes their surprise opponent. It can be a person, a team, an organization or whatever.

Quinten sometimes gets on my nerves, acting like he did no wrong, which is satisfying when cap humbles him. Also, is it just me or the x men feel like self entitled jerks in recent stories.

I translated and it says One moon sets, a new White Widow awakens. When Doomsday arrives, pray for her mercy. Please."

These covers aren’t doing it for me

Very “Early Image” feel or something
throw everybody in a battle pose

Love the Z man , I’m buying …but the covers look dated , Liefeldian even

You can either have your book be the only Avengers book being published, or one of many teams in existence.
