Player(s) Needed by GM (Online) (2024 5.5e) (High fantasy)

Hey i am an acting dm for two Campaigns, one that runs on Saturday 545pm EST and Sunday 530pm EST. I need a player for both Campaign. Both campaign and missing there 4 player and i would like to fill that slot
Your experience doesn't matter, I have taught people to play dnd for 1 year now it doesn't bother me.  I just want people who want to play.

Saturday 545pm EST campaign follows a group of adventurers stumbling across the plans of a cult, the cult plans are mostly unknown but seem to be dangerous. The party has once you meet them will have saved a city from a hostile takeover led by one of the cult leaders.
This campaign is on session 41 so the player will understand the story better but are very good at getting people got up quickly.

Sunday 530pm EST Campaign follows a group of people searching for money and recognition. Along with funding and backing a war/crusade. The country is on edge and preparing for war
This campaign is on session 3 so you will be as new as the others.

We use Discord for Audio and Video but the vtt is unknown right now. If I can get my foundry to work then we will probably use that.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [PBP] [5e 2014/2024] Avalon - Adventure Beyond Humanity's Walls Into a Lost World Conquered by Dragons!

• Upvotes

You are the last hope of humanity.

Dragons swarm the earth and rule the sky. The remaining population has been crushed, cornered into hiding.

Avalon, the frozen bastion, is humanity's final stronghold. Avalon was always isolated, now it might be all that remains. All of civilization is now surrounded by an enormous obsidian wall, fortified in all sections with Arklight crystals to form the invincible magical barrier over the city — Nyriel's Cradle.

Tactics, technology and knowledge of the outside world have been mostly lost after humanity's countless defeats. Day by day, regular people are comfortable inside the walls. Those who look beyond daily survival fear society turning on one another over depleting resources, the four noble houses struggle for order and two very different sides of what's apparently the same religion spark constant disagreement.

You are an Adventurer. An individual brave enough to want to venture out beyond the wall into almost certain death. For the sake of humanity, for regaining lost ground and discovering the truth of this lost world, you've chosen to push onward past your fear either for the greater good or your own personal motivation. Warriors, mages and supportive roles are all nurtured within Avalon, combat diversity is just one more tool against dragons.

You aren't the first to be called Adventurers. Adventurers are a section of the Avalonian military. They suffer devastating losses time and time again. You'll work alongside other squad mates, experienced officers and pilot the unique WYVERN gear which was created for the sole purpose of allowing humanity to fight dragons.

It will grant you sudden bursts of lateral movement, temporary flight, help you to manoeuvre to save your allies and provide limited shielding against humanity's greatest threat, a dragon's lethal breath.

Wyverns once rivalled dragons, now it's time for humanity to do the same.

------

Hey guys, we're from the UK and we're looking for a group of 4-5 active players who like to chat, more of a friends vibe than just here for DND! for a really quick about us, we like all the usual stuff like gaming, youtube, internet culture and we're pretty laid back!

quick disclaimer - different time zones are more than welcome but we're mostly available after 5PM BST on weekdays and more free on weekends, we'll also be taking a 2 week trip to japan from november 2nd, but the idea was so hype we wanted to start right away!

the campaign is pretty heavily inspired by early seasons of Attack on Titan and Final Fantasy 14 Heavensward! The WYVERN gear will have a few homebrew uses and you can expect some MMO styled item drops / gearing.

while there will be a command structure with respect expected, im not about to make this into a chore simulator, those characters will also be respectful to you and your ideas as an individual!

if you're hyped then fill out the app below! it might be a bit long but its literally all we have to get a first impression of people haha sorry for the homework!

We use AI / Pinterest for scenery, battle maps and character art — we don't use or allow it for writing.

Player(s) Needed by GM [online][5e 2014][Saturday 9pm] [EST] Need 2 for a character growth based campaign set in a folklore inspired world

Running a role-play heavy campaign that prioritizes character growth over time in a heroic campaign. Combat will happen most sessions, but not all, and will serve a narrative purpose when it does.

Pitch.

The world is inspired by Grimm's fairy tales and several mythologies, and rooted in grief, memory, and the fear of losing loved ones. It is physically bounded on all sides by immeasurably tall walls, beyond which lies a universe of dancing celestial bodies.

It has 2 moons, a ring system, and strange orange stars that appear every 9th night. There are 3 planes including the Living plane which is the "Earth-like" one.

Most of the history is remembered only through stories and campfire tales. And the things not remembered fade from reality. Many families etch the names of their ancestors in stone tablets to avoid forgetting them.

Scheduling and logistics.

  • There will be an extensive session 0 at 9pm eastern on Saturday, October 17th (Today).
  • Sessions will be held from 9pm to midnight on Saturdays.
  • Discord is required for voice.
  • VTT will be discussed at session 0

Character Creation.

  • Races will be restricted. But reskinning will be allowed.
  • No Twilight cleric, Nothing from Explorers Guide to Wildemount
  • All spells are allowed, but monsters are free to use anything you use. So be wary.
  • Lucky feat is banned.
  • All player characters should aim for similar power level.

Apply using the form below. Answers will be given within 2 hours:

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][Weekly 19:00 CET/CEST, day by poll] The Mines of Moria - roleplay-heavy survival campaign, 18+

• Upvotes

*You were never meant to be heroes. You were travelers, merchants or fools who found the doors of Khazad-dûm open, and the dark closed behind you. Now there are only the halls, the cold, the last torch... and each other.*

## The campaign

**The Mines of Moria** is a long homebrew campaign about **surviving** in fallen Khazad-dûm. Only **four NPCs** exist in the whole campaign, so 99% of the time your party is alone in the dark together. Your characters' talks, fears, arguments and friendships *are* the story.

It is built on four pillars:

- **Roleplay** - with almost no one else to talk to, you'll spend most sessions roleplaying with the other players.

- **Exploration** - a huge network of halls, mines, chasms and forgotten places, each with its own dangers and lore that slowly reveals what happened here. Much of it is optional - what you find depends on where you choose to go.

- **Survival** - rations and torches are a shared party resource, used up by travel and rest. Exhaustion builds as you travel. Food is found as ingredients and cooked using recipes from the world of Tolkien.

- **Crafting** - mine ore and gems, smelt ingots, and use the old dwarven forges to make weapons, armour, potions, poisons, spell scrolls and magic items.

**Combat is completely optional.** There are rules for sneaking past or running from every fight, and the whole campaign can be finished without fighting once. Sometimes fighting is the easier way - but it is never the only way.

## The details

- **Schedule:** weekly, 19:00-23:00 Amsterdam time (CET/CEST). The day changes week to week - players vote in a Strawpoll and we play on the day that works for the most people.

- **Length:** 20-40 sessions (about 25-50 weeks), depending on how much optional content you explore.

- **Spots:** 2 open (4 players in total, so everyone gets plenty of time to shine).

- **Platform:** Discord voice, Roll20 as VTT, characters on DiceCloud v2 (no exceptions).

- **Experience:** veterans only.

- **Age:** 18+.

## Character rules

- **Races:** Humans, Dwarves, Elves and Halflings only (some subraces slightly tweaked for balance).

- **Stats:** Standard Array 12, 12, 10, 10, 8, 8. Start at level 1 with no Origin Feat and very basic gear. Max level 14, with bonus ASIs earned at set XP amounts - you start as nobodies and grow strong over time.

- **Languages:** Tolkien's own (Westron, Khuzdul, Sindarin, Quenya, Black Speech and more) - they matter for reading the lore you find.

- **Classes:** all classes, subclasses and multiclassing allowed. However, many survival spells are banned (Light, Goodberry, Tiny Hut, Create Food and Water, Find Familiar, Speak with Animals and others), and together with the lack of NPCs this makes some classes (e.g. Druid, Bard) weaker here. A balancing system buffs the weaker classes and subclasses.

- **House rules:** a few common ones most tables already use (potions as a bonus action, dual wielding, etc.).

## This is NOT the campaign for you if...

- you want lots of combat,

- you find tracking rations, torches, crafting materials and exhaustion annoying,

- you can't commit to most of a year of weekly sessions.

## Interested?

If the dark sounds like home, **send me a DM** on Discord (nick_tesla) or comment below and I'll send you a few short questions.

*AI disclosure: some text in this campaign is written with AI help.*

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Flexible][Mon, 9PM EDT] The Round Table, Taking Turns

• Upvotes

Rather than being a set game, this is intended for a smattering of games where various GMs each take a turn to run a game of their choice. We play through it, and when they finish after a few sessions we rotate to the next person. It's intended that rather than this being any longform content, everyone will run something short form selected in a random order until everyone has had a chance then we refresh and do it again. A great place to try out various TTRPGs you'd normally not be able to, either to run them as a GM or see what's up as a player.

This listing is only for GMs and those with experience running. As some of the other members are people I know are reliable and good to run, we'll prioritise anyone newly recruited for running after a 3 part game where we'll run through a full set of missions in Lancer. So i'll go first, then the 2-3 newly recruited will be randomly chosen, and then the two other people i've already recruited and know. After it's confirmed everyone's a good match and you'll stick around to GM your fair share, the order will be randomly chosen unless someone steps up to run.

I'm looking for people who are comfortable with a wide range of settings and genres, and are comfortable with darker content and a grim sense of humor. You'll also need to be willing to read some rulebooks, depending on what people run we might have a lot of games to learn!

Slots Available: 2-3

Session Duration: 3-4 hours

Schedule: Every Monday at 9pm EDT

Requirements: Discord and a decent mic are all required. You'll also need to have your own setup for where you run whatever system you opt to run. I'll be using Foundry VTT and we're likely to see usage of Roll20 and other Virtual Tabletops.

https://forms.gle/HTLEAG3VLDVGxmtCA

If interested, please fill out the form above and leave a comment with your name when you have finished.

Player(s) Needed by GM [5E 2024][GMT+0][Sunday Evenings][Online] Curse of Strahd Campaign - looking for players

Hello!

I am looking to run a new campaign based on the Curse of Strahd module. This will be a long-term campaign running from level 3 to around level 15. This campaign will be a mixture of roleplay, adventure and combat. I am looking for character-focused players who love to pour a lot of detail into their PCs. I am a player-focused DM who loves actions with consequence, and creativity in roleplay.

The campaign will be based in Owlbear/Discord on Sunday Evenings (around 6pm to 9pm GMT+0).

I am looking to assemble a party of 5 for this adventure

If interested, please fill in the below form and I will reach out via Discord.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSceFKFokbm85mgVxZE-wrDBz4SGkzSqBvt_gDyEjRDnvDvenQ/viewform?usp=dialog

The campaign premise:

Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came—all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner... And you are invited.

Player(s) Needed by GM Intrigue, agony and impossible choices await in Etharis [5e 2014] [GMT] [online]

• Upvotes

I am reopening this advert again to seek a new player for my Etharis campaign. I’ve been so lucky to run thus far for an incredible party. Having just reached the thirty sixth session milestone This campaign is operating off a rewrite of the existing Grimhollow module. Due to scheduling issues with previous replacements we are eager to find our fourth player, having not yet found a player from my previous recruitment.

Etharis is a campaign about duty after faith has failed, heroism without salvation, and choosing who must survive when the gods are already dead.

The rise of the Burach Empire was heralded by a theocracy as magnificent in power as it was ruthless in its capacity to colonise rival pantheons. Ruled by a dynastic line said to descend from the Burach gods themselves, the Empire stretched to the edges of Etharis, rivalled only by the sunless, godless realm of Ostoya. Its southern borders pressed against the elven kingdom of the Chernault; its northern marches strained against the rabid Valikan clans.

Then, without warning, the gods fell.

Seraphic hosts were torn from the sky and died in the mortal muds. The cause of this catastrophe is a closely guarded secret, known only to the highest ranks of the Burach clergy. What is known is this: the Empire did not break cleanly. It staggered, fractured, and spiralled into cascading crises that still threaten to tear it apart years later.

And worse still looms.

Along the Ostoyan–Burach border, an unceasing army of the dead rises — unkillable, relentless, consuming everything it touches. Arcanists gorge themselves on the essence of fallen seraphs, fuelling grotesque ambitions with divine blood. And beyond even this horror, something vast and unfathomable stirs, a threat that no divided people can hope to face.

This is a world devouring itself from within as surely as it is besieged from without. Each land is a new crisis. Each victory carries its own cost. Zealous churchmen fight back-to-back with criminals and outcasts to claw back inches of ground. Faith is fractured. Power is suspect. Survival is never clean.

If you want a campaign where:

• politics, theology, and warfare collide

• choices have consequences that linger

• grimness exists to make rare victories meaningful

• and “good” means protecting others in impossible circumstances

then this may be the game for you.

⸻

Player Expectations

I am looking for a motivated, attentive, and engaged player who enjoy investigation, scheming, roleplay, and difficult moral decisions. Characters will be expected to take risks, act decisively, and accept that survival is never guaranteed.

There are no set class requirements for a new player barring the restriction of arcane classes that has applied across the entire span of the campaign. Etharis is a campaign where character comes before mechanical optimisation.

Characters in Etharis are built from the world outward, rather than imported into it. Your character should emerge from a nation, faith, institution, household or other social structure that has formed their beliefs, obligations and place in society. Institutions are not simply factions to join, employers to rebel against, or obstacles to individual freedom: they are a major part of how people understand themselves and acquire authority in this setting. I am much more interested in what your character believes, whom they owe, and why than in a predetermined class, build or fantasy archetype

Please do not arrive with a predetermined build or character archetype. Character creation will begin with the setting: where your character comes from, which institutions formed them, what they believe, what they owe, and what claims others legitimately have upon them. Class and mechanics follow from that character

For the right player, Etharis promises a vast wealth of intrigue, adventure, moral conflict and tense choices.

• Players must be 21+

• Good-aligned characters only (not flawless, but fundamentally protective rather than exploitative)

• LGBT+ players are supported and welcome

• This is a roleplay-forward, consequence-driven campaign

⸻

Content & Safety

This campaign will respectfully explore dark themes including:

• fantasy ethnic conflict and bigotry

• religious and political extremism

• profane rituals and human sacrifice

• the horrors of war and occupation

• corruption of authority and systems of power

There will be no sexual content of any kind at the table. No tolerance for out-of-game abuse, extremism, or bullying. Player wellbeing comes first: concerns can be raised at any time, and sessions will end with a brief check-in.

⸻

Class Restriction

Due to the metaphysics of the setting and past experience, arcane classes are not playable in this campaign. This is a deliberate design choice made to preserve coherence, tone, and meaningful tension within Etharis.

⸻

Practical Details

• System: D&D 5e (Grimhollow setting)

• Platform: Discord + Roll20

• Schedule: Wednesdays, 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM GMT

If you’re interested in stepping into a world where there are no perfect solutions — only people doing their best amid collapse — feel free to message me.

Group Needed by Player [DND 5E/5.5(2014/2024)] [UTC+1] [Online or offline(Trier DE)] [LGBTQ+] 2 players looking to join a group

• Upvotes

Hey there, me (29NB) and my GF (26MTF) are looking for a group to play dnd with. We're both LGBTQ+ and only interested in groups with preferably already diverse people but at least accepting ones.

We are looking for either an online group or IRL in Trier Germany but in any case in full English.

My GF has a lot of experience running all kinds of systems but mostly DND and I only have a little experience and still learning how to play the game properly.

We're both looking to be players in a preferably story rich, roleplay focused and character driven, serious campaign with like-minded people. My gf likes to write intriguing backstories so it’d be cool if these could be incorporated into the campaign. We'd also prefer a more modern approach to the game as we're both pretty big nerds, gamers and anime/manga fans and don't vibe too well with the more traditional Lord of the Rings -esque type of games and story-telling.

Schedule wise we are looking for a group that would be fine with playing on different days each weeks as I my working schedule varies a lot. We are looking to play either weekly or every two weeks.

Preferably on Discord with voice but without cam.

Closed [Online][5e 2014][Wednesdays 8pm EST] Ongoing Campaign Looking for 1-2 Players

So, I'm looking to add some folks to a game I'm running due to us having some scheduling issues due to some current players having work/college stuff happening. Just wanting to add 1-2 people to make sure we have enough to play more regularly.

The World:
A number of ages have passed since the known beginning of this world. The Age of Turmoil where behemoths of the primordial elements clashes and fought. It's existence only known from vague tales of people long since passed and the conjecture of modern scholars. The Age of Giants where the divine being Annam arose as did his children: the giants. The giants would be the prominent civilizations across the realm and relics of their existence and culture can still be found. However, the period of time known as The Shattering would see Annam broken in a grand cataclysm, his divinity fragmented and the prominence of the giants ended with it. Those fragments would lead to the creation of other gods, many whom are known today. It would be under the guidance of these new gods that the humanoid races would begin to make the world their own.

The Kingdom of Az'Shivar
A country consisting of a harsh desert and home to mostly elves, Az'Shivar stands as a natural divide between the northern continent of Varnight and the southern continent of Aisenfell. Much of its land remains claimed by the desert, but you can still find civilization thriving in natural oasis or by the grace of the Seldarine (the Elvish Pantheon) and their followers. The Church of the Seldarine holds nearly as much power within Az'Shivar as the royal family itself and the two are closely intertwined. The current king, Galinndan Liadon "recently" took over for his father about 200 years ago and has been aggressively working to make his mark. From making deals with pirates to harry vessels in strategic places to make Az'Shivar's ports the safer routes to use, to rapidly developing cities off the backs of the Church, his methods are ruthless but have brought positive change to the people of the kingdom.

The United Principalities of Raash-Grumgar
Once a collection of orcish tribes in the Eastern Plainlands, those tribes would be conquered and united under the banner of legendary champion: King Volgash Raash. There are many tales of this King gaining the loyalty of each tribe through battle, skill, and honor. Even today, bards sing his praises just as loudly as when he still lived. While not blood-related, each tribe would have a representative who would take the title of Prince. However, the years would drag on and eventually the King would pass away, leaving his position open. It would be agreed upon that whoever would gain the vote of all of the Princes would be named King. As you might expect, none could gain the favor of so many amid various grabs for power. As it stands, there has been no King since. The twenty-three Princes now both lead their respective territories and act as their territory's representative in the Grand Council which is the main decision making mechanism for the country without a King. Each territory and its Prince vary greatly, each with their own friends, enemies, and rivals amongst each other.

Keelig
Keelig is considered to be the most 'magical' country in the region, mainly because of how it is governed. The Sorcerous Houses of Keelig are many different noble families who all possess some level of sorcerous powers. The level of influence in the country, among the other houses, and among other members of the same house all comes down to magical power. The current leader of Keelig is Sorentha of House Zaldoa. While the nobility have magical abilities, all those who don't in Keelig are thought of as far lesser beings by the nobility. As such, the average person in the country has a great fear and ingrained respect for magic and those who wield it.

The Fierdlands
To the north where the winters are bitter and the summers mercilessly short, is the kingdom of the Fierdlands. A difficult land to survive in, let alone thrive, the Fierdlanders are made of sterner stuff than most. More often than not, the people here focus on collective survival. They will help their neighbor during hard times and expect that help in return, as there is sort of a unspoken rule that everyone is stronger together. From this thinking, a willingness to help and honor are seen as just as crucial as strength and skill. The country is currently ruled by King Thurvold Aurokvir often referred to as 'Old King Thurvold' given his advanced age, he is a well-liked ruler who is known for being benevolent and dutiful. Surprising most, he is a Frost Giant, often considered the last one known to exist.

The Campaign so Far:
The party started off as members of a specialized task force in The Fierlands who serve the kingdom and solve problems that would be difficult for the normal military to solve. They would travel around the country, slowly finding signs of an impending war with Kellig. Now, after helping buy their kingdom time before the war, they find themselves in the Principalities seeking allies for the coming conflict.

The Party:
(Bottom two have had scheduling issues but still could show up)

- A fiendish werewolf of a homebrew class that's all about tanking.

- A elven warlock whose dealings with winter-y archfey went very well for her. Can't say the same about her ex-fiance.

- A life domain cleric of Helm who is kind of the heart of the party.

- Undead bear-man ranger who became a vampire after deciding to eat a vampire the party just killed.

- Nepo Baby, rich guy, giant soul sorcerer whose dad is the patron of the task force most of the group is apart of.

Stuff to Know:
- The party is currently level 7

- We'll be using Roll20 for maps and sheets, and Discord for VC

- While most of the party are a member of this task force, your character doesn't have to be. They're currently at a time where they're searching for allies. So, I'm sure they won't turn down any help.

- The campaign takes place in The Fierdlands, but they party are currently traveling outside of the country. They are currently in the Orcish Principalities.

- There is a very light amount of base-building in the game as the party has been given control over a small village near the border with Kellig. It's currently mostly filled with undead, common folk who needed a place to start over, and any oddballs the party has taken a liking to.

What I'm Looking For in a Player:
- Decent mic
- Be 18+ (we're all in our twenties or older)
- Respectful to others at the table
- Know how to share the spotlight
- Be punctual/respectful of everyone's time
- Creative
- Can/will communicate if there is a problem

But if any of this interests you, send me a DM with a bit about yourself and your discord. I'll be doing a small interview to not only as sort of a vibe check, but also to explain a bit more about the world and such to make sure that this is a game that you want to join.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Other] Players wanted for a one-off play by post. Inspired by Parks And Rec, Midsomer Murders, Buffy.

• Upvotes

Hi all I am looking for 4/5 players for a special one off play-by-post game being run via Discord. I am a professional games designer and GM with a tonne of experience in PBP games. This game will be roleplay focused and will use a very simple in-house system and will take place across roughly a month.

I am hoping to use this game to work through some of the storybeats of the setting, but mostly I am hoping to run a fun sandbox game focused on roleplaying and collaborative storytelling.

THE SETTING

  1. Located in the green and pleasant countryside of England, the small village of Piddlington features three pubs, a cricket club, a handful of local shops and a dark ominous energy that seems to permeate every part of this quaint and quiet town.

(I want to keep the hidden elements of the game as hidden as possible, but for sake of tone think more camp and less actual horror. i.e, Buffy not Lovecraft)

THE PLAYERS

You are recently elected members of the parish council, a small organisation that oversees a number of local issues in Piddlington. You were elected to ensure the bins are collected on time, to manage the village hall's calendar and make sure that Piddlington is shortlisted for the upcoming Village In Bloom awards.

INSPIRATIONS

The Vicar of Dibbly, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Emmerdale, Parks and Rec, Hot Fuzz, Midsomar Murders and basically anything set in a small village in England.

THE MECHANICS

The game is made to be very sandboxy and focused on light roleplay. The game will take place on Discord, with various channels acting as different parts of the village.

Each turn players will be presented with a parish council agenda This will contain 1 to 3 issues that players must discuss and vote on. Each player gets 1 vote. Ties will be broken by the chair of the council.

Each turn will be roughly 1 day realtime, we can adjust this as we go.

After the votes are submitted players may receive a news report which describes the outcome of the vote. Players can discuss issues privately or in shared channels. They can make deals with each other, but they have no mechanics to influence votes other than the agreements they make.

The village also has 3 stats:

- Beauty (how pretty Piddlington is and how likely it is to win the Village In Bloom award)

- House Prices (a number that appeals to the older and wealthier residents of the town)

- Tourism (how popular the town is to outsiders, who bring money but may annoy some residents)

THE GM

I am a professional game maker with a couple of my own published designs and a bunch of freelance development experience. I am a very experienced GM and love running play by text games!

THE COMMITMENT

I expect the game to last around a month, but it could go longer if people are really enjoying it. We will discuss the eventual end game when we begin to get closer and I am up for suggestions on changing how we play as we go.

I would like players to be able to commit to making one vote a day and keeping up with news as it occurs. This will usually only take a minute or so and is as easy as responding to a message on discord. If you are away or cannot get involved then I also want you to let us know. The game will derail if players ghost so I am looking for who are reliable, communicative and are open to collaborative storytelling and all that fun stuff

OTHER DETAILS

I am based in GMT (UK) and would prefer players in similar time zones, but am happy to consider others too.

TO JOIN

If you've read all this and still want to get involved then great! Please send me a DM with your name, pronouns, where you are and your favourite thing about Piddlington (make this up, of course!)

Thanks all in advance!

Player(s) Needed by GM Seeking Players for Long-Term Political Intrigue Campaign [21+][Online][5e 2014][EST][LGBTQ+ Friendly]

Hi! I’m a DM on the East Coast putting together a new D&D 5e campaign using the 2014 rules. I’ve been running and playing for about 5-6 years, and I’m hoping to find people who are fun to hang out with, not just fun to game with.

The pitch

The war has dragged on for longer than anyone can remember, and nobody knows if it will end. Soldiers are running thin, supplies are running thinner, and the noble houses back home are less interested in winning than in profiting from the fighting. You’ll be pulled into a web of secrets, shifting alliances, and quiet betrayals, where the people who say they’re on your side may be the ones keeping the war alive. Who really benefits from this war, and what would it cost to end it?

The vibe

A serious story with real stakes at a relaxed table. We’ll take the plot seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. Expect a balanced mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration, plus classic D&D staples like dungeons, monsters, and loot between the scheming. I love weaving character backstories into the plot, so if you enjoy giving your character secrets, rivals, and old debts, you’ll fit right in.

Logistics

  • Friday or Saturday evenings (ET), about 3-4 hours. Weekly or biweekly, depending on what works for the group. We’ll lock in the night and the pace together once we’ve got our players
  • Discord for voice and text, with an occasional in-person session if the group clicks and lives close enough
  • 3-5 players
  • 21+ only
  • All experience levels welcome. I’m happy to help new players build a character.

How to join

Fill out this short form by Sunday, October 25: Link. I’ll reach out to shortlisted players for a casual Discord chat, and then we’ll hold a Session Zero before starting. I can’t reply to everyone, but I read every response. If you already have a group, you’re welcome to apply together.

You can also find me on Discord at arbiter11764.

P.S.: Reply to the post if the link is down for some reason, it shouldn't be, but you never know.

P.P.S : Everyone’s welcome here, including LGBTQ+ folks. The one rule is to treat your fellow players with respect. Bigotry and general jerkiness aren’t welcome at my table.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2024][Eastern Time] Long-Running D&D Group (4+ Years) Seeking New Player(s) – Homebrew Campaign

Why hello there r/LFG.

We're an established D&D 5e group looking to recruit 1-2 additional players for our ongoing homebrew campaign. Our group has been playing together consistently for over four years, now, with primarily homebrew based campaigns coming out of my ADHD infused brain. Bourbon too, sometimes that helps with my creativity. [fun fact, two of our consistent members came from r/LFG years ago]

A little about our current campaign:

The original campaign took place in the fictional continent of Eldervale, where the players became involved in a massive civil war following the violent overthrow of the ruling Royal League. The party navigated political intrigue, forged alliances with noble houses, commanded armies, fought legendary enemies, and ultimately helped determine the fate of the continent. I use rule of cool now and then cause well, I'm the DM. My goal is for players to feel PART of the story. If you have some wild fantastic idea you discuss with your fellow players, I might just find some way to put it into the story.

You: A member of a mercenary company serving one of the remaining royal houses in an ongoing struggle against outside invaders. The River Hounds, a relatively younger mercenary company are nonetheless caught up trying to defend their homeland.

Our current campaign, [REDACTED] (spoilers :)) continues that story, exploring the consequences of the previous campaign's events. The party is now dealing with the situation hundreds of years later, trying to figure out their place in the world. Meanwhile, forgotten civilizations, ancient gods, and secrets buried beneath the continent are beginning to resurface.

The campaign blends traditional high fantasy with political intrigue, military conflict, exploration, ancient mysteries, and occasional darker themes. Player decisions have lasting consequences, and the world continues to evolve around those decisions. As a DM, I also am quite forgiving of mistakes. I am not hear to punish you, I want you to be part of the group/story for the adventure. My idea of "winning" is you having a fun, enjoyable time where you want to come back.

A little about our group:

  • Playing together consistently for 4+ years.
  • Currently a mid-level party (approximately levels 8–9).
  • Mix of roleplaying, exploration, challenging combat, and overarching storytelling.
  • Extensive homebrew lore, recurring NPCs, and a living world shaped by player actions.
  • Looking for someone reliable, friendly, and interested in becoming part of a long-term group.
  • I'm the type of DM where if I think you did something cool/unique in a session, well, you get bonus XP.
  • What I don't tolerate: hostility, combativeness, disregard for your fellow players, etc. If you wanna min-max, fine by me, however, my enemies do in fact learn...
  • I make mistakes as a DM, it is what it is. If you're looking for perfection, well, I am NOT the DM for you, I know my weaknesses.
  • Yes, I once made a map where the PCs controlled actual army units on a battlefield and had to make command level decisions.

Schedule: Every Friday, 930pm EST
Platform: Discord
System: D&D 5e, however homebrew rules and fun ideas are allowed.

You don't need to know anything about the previous campaign(s) to join. I'm happy to help new players get acquainted with the setting, and there's plenty of room to develop your own character's story within the larger world.

If you're interested, shoot me a message with a little about yourself, your D&D experience, and complete this document to apply.

Thanks all!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [EST] [5e 2024] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [Newbie Friendly] Adult Player Wanted for Short Adventure & One‑Shot–Focused TTRPG Group

Adult Player Wanted for Light‑Hearted, One‑Shot–Focused TTRPG Group

We’re looking to add adult players to our long‑running, relaxed gaming group! Experience is absolutely not required—just bring curiosity, a willingness to join in, and a sense of humor.

What We Play

We play a wide range of systems and genres—classic fantasy quests, chaotic goblin nonsense, supernatural westerns, sci‑fi mysteries, and plenty more.

Our group leans toward short adventures and one‑shots rather than long campaigns. It keeps things fresh, lets everyone try new characters and playstyles, and avoids long‑term commitment burnout.

We do play D&D 5.5e the most, but we love trying new systems.

Our Vibe

We keep things light, fun, and low‑pressure. No rules‑lawyering, no perfectionism—just a bunch of adults hanging out and having a good time.

  • Mechanics stay simple and easy to grasp (rules are a guide)
  • Bold risks and silly ideas are encouraged (let’s see how we can make that happen)
  • Romance fades to black
  • Gore stays reasonable (…though someone did carry around a decapitated head once)
  • We respect everyone’s triggers (one player is terrified of spiders)

Inclusivity Matters

We are proudly LGBTQIA+ friendly and want players who feel the same. We do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, racism, or sexism. We also avoid political debates—this is a space to relax, not stress.

When & Where

Every other Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. EST We play on Zoom and use dndbeyond.com when playing D&D.

Want to Join Us?

Check out our website to learn more: DORCS.US If the vibe feels right, reach out—we’d love to chat with you on Zoom and see if we’re a good fit.

Group Needed by Player [Online] [5e 2014][LGBTQ+][Show-Inspired] Seeking DM and players for a Dimension 20's Fantasy High inspired campaign

Hello Everyone! I'm Cass (18tf) I've begun rewatching Fantasy High yet again, and, as it does every time I watch this silly little internet show, the bug has bit me!
I've learned my lesson about trying to run the campaign myself, I just don't have the interest in DMing to keep up with it, in spite of my 3 attempts lol, so now I'm turning to you, the lovely people of the internet!

A couple non-D&D things I like: Regular Show (my favorite show (: ), Survival Games, Commentary/Retrospective youtube videos, Super Smash Bros (my favorite game!)

I don't really have much in mind for my own character just yet, except, I might be playing a skater girl, maybe revive my character from my initial attempt at trying this as a player. I normally prefer to make something new, though.

We'd have to play Wednesday nights (MST time zone), as I work a shifting work schedule, but Wednesday nights are pretty consistently free for me. I'd love for sessions to last between 2-4 hours, but I'm also open to them going a little longer depending on how early I have to work the next morning lol

The game would be run over discord, with FoundryVTT being available to us if we wish to use it (I've purchased it and have since had very little reason to use it lol)

I don't really have much else to add here, I don't think.

if you have ANY questions for me, please let me know in the comments or my messages. Otherwise, message me, and please begin your message with whether you'd rather DM or play. Aside from that, just try and tell me a little bit about yourself and your D&D experience. maybe some things you like and like your favorite campaign you've played. something like that.

Player(s) Needed by GM [online][5e 2014][21+][LGBTQ+]🌟🧚the Wild Beyond the Witchlight 🧚🌟

Years ago, your life was forever changed by a brush with the Feywild. As a child, you found yourself irresistibly drawn to the glamor and spectacle of the wondrous Witchlight Carnival as it passed near your home. For whatever reason - a dare, an inability to pay, an innocent mistake, or some other motive perhaps lost to memory - you snuck in without buying a ticket. You spent the evening enchanted by the beautiful and the bizarre, but after leaving, you realized you had not truly attended for free. Something was taken from you, something intangible, and by the time you realized, the carnival was gone. This loss has haunted you ever since. Now, at last, the carnival is back in town, and you’re returning to the Witchlight to take back what was stolen from you.

*

I want to run the Wild Beyond the Witchlight module and I’m looking for 3-5 players to join me! I’m planning to hold 3-4 hour sessions every other week on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, depending on what works best for people. I’ll be using Discord and Roll20; I prefer to have everyone be able to see each other on video, but it’s not a hard rule.

This is a very RP-forward module, even stating in the intro that it’s possible to resolve the story without ever engaging in combat. I enjoy running combat and don’t want any characters’ abilities to feel useless, so I’ll be balancing it more than that, but it’ll still lean heavily towards RP. Even though the adventure itself is lighthearted and often a little silly, I’d prefer players take RP ‘seriously’ in the sense that you make decisions in character and engage with the story.

A note on genre/tone: as Curse of Strahd is a horror module, Wild Beyond the Witchlight is a fairytale module. It’s a story that includes unicorns, giant snail racing, a gang of plucky orphans, a bullywug named Dumphrey Frogart, and a talking spoon. Multiple NPCs will speak to you in rhyming couplets. There are elements of dark fantasy and the more grim (or Grimm) side of fairytales too, but the prevailing sentiment is whimsy. You don't have to create a lighthearted or whimsical character; in fact, I bet it’s probably really fun to play a PC who’s out of their element. Just be forewarned that, while you can absolutely play your jaded oathbreaker with a tragic past and a thirst for revenge, she will almost certainly be challenged to a poetry contest by a gnome.

if you're interested, please tell me a little about yourself and your availability: https://forms.gle/NxUHY88RmTT9iLnj8

[Untold Stories] [5e 2014 + UA][Survival Style focusing on combat - Free games][Looking for players][Daily games timezone mainly GMT+3] [Online]

We are looking for players for a style DnD campaign that is combat focused with survival aspects of the game paying rent, taking note of food and travel time, if you like realism you will love it here, we welcome veteran and new players alike and have players to help you during the journey.

Length of Campaign: Big Adventure Campaign with small one shots style that has saved progress at the end until a stable party is formed to do the hard campaign quests

General Overview of Campaign: After a big war that included many races one of them lost its trust . They were the Dwarves. Some of their clans sided with the bad guys in the war. Players will start as new adventurers recruited by a guild with the purpose to help cities, towns and settlements and get that lost trust back.

You start at level 1 and build your character from there, you can Multiclass as much as you like.

Group Needed by Player [Online] [5.5e 2024,] [Beginner] [EST] Looking for a D&D group!

Hi! I'm a beginner looking for a small, welcoming D&D group to play with on Discord!

I own the 2024 Player's Handbook (5.5e) and would appreciate help creating my character and learning the mechanics. I'd prefer using D&D Beyond for character creation.

I'm looking for a roleplay-focused campaign with some combat, and most importantly, a friendly group where everyone feels included and valued.

If you have room for a beginner, I'd love to hear from you! 😊

Player(s) Needed by GM [PF2e] [offline] Beginner friendly table open to new players in SLC Utah

We're about to start a new campaign of Pathfinder 2nd edition remastered near SLC. We have an established group, but would like to open it up for more players. We meet weekly on Monday evenings.

We're all in our thirties, and met each other in an online forum like this and had a lot of success establishing a new friend group. I'd love to give more people that same opportunity to meet friends and have some fun.

We're not Pathfinder devotees - it's just what we're playing right now. If you're hesitant about playing something that isn't DND, don't be. We're happy to help people learn the rules and Pathfinder gives the same opportunities for telling amazing fantasy stories with your character.
