Picture this: You're medic. You see wounded soldier who needs healing. Instinctively you check the surrounding, clear, now run towards wounded teammate. While getting there you take your med kit to your hands ready to heal your mate.
Wounded soldier POV:
Turn around see soldier running towards you with med kit! What to do!? Shoot that bastard ofc! You never know what they can do to you with those med kits.
This is so frustrating to me bc the guy running was towards you with med kit! He is not going to hurt yo with that. He can only hurt you after he changes to some weapon. You have time to shoot the guy after checking if it's ally or enemy.

New to the game, I don't know if the explosion effect changes if you hit the vehicle.

Recently I have hopped back into squad and of course the new server UI is trash, I play only on a select few servers now. From the beginning of this year there were so many servers available, is it my server browser bugging or are the communities dwindling?

Is there no inverted option on console.
I don't think I've ever uninstalled a game before actually loading it up before..

I saw the recent news that Squad is going to be released on console with the following note on controller scheme:
“We've designed a console-specific control scheme and interface that allows players to access Squad's depth while playing naturally on a controller.”
Will that controller scheme be available for users on PC?
I’ve wanted to play Squad, but I use a controller and have routinely heard it wouldn’t really work that well. But if there is a controller scheme that’s been mapped out, it would be great to be able to use that on PC also.

Squad Leaders,
What are your thoughts on proper radio placement? I’m not the best at placing radios, and typically only do it in a “oh shit we’re getting overrun better toss one down before it’s too late” type scenarios. From my SL experience, there’s a few schools of thought:
1 - Barricaded Radio (HESCO walls, barbed wire, second floor in a secured and armed FOB)
2 - Hidden Radio (think in a bush in a forest or something in a dense urban building)
3 - HAB Radio (placed right next to the radio for a quick deployment)
What are your opinions? I personally usually do a hidden radio like thing, because I’ve learned barricading usually results in a combat engineer hiding by the radio and building back up the defenses as you try to get him out, but I’m curious what the consensus is.

I've played on quite a few Squad servers. Heres what I'd recommend based on my experience
If you're completely new I'd honestly start with a few YouTube tutorials before jumping into a match. Learn the basics how FOBs and rallies work, what the different roles do and how the game modes work. It'll save you a lot of confusion.
Once you've got an understanding a little bit of the game 44th Royal Anglian is the best English speaking server I will recommend for beginners. It's relaxed you can learn
When you start getting comfortable with the game try Blood Bound . You'll generally find experienced players there and the gameplay tends to be more coordinated! It's a place to improve especially if you're interested in teamwork and eventually becoming a squad leader (it's pain in the ass it's like being a mother to a whole group of children).
Obviously you'll have bad matches, on both servers. Give them a day or two just to see if it's a good general community.
Also if you're new just tell your SL. Most people would rather help you learn than have you pretend you know what you're doing.
Curious what EU servers people would recommend.
