Reddit usernames. Their anonymity lets us share things we might never otherwise IRL. These random phrases become a proxy for the real people that make up our community.

But sometimes they're not so random - we still put something of ourselves in the username we choose. Maybe it's an allusion to your favorite tv show, or something you were embarrassingly into fifteen years ago when you first signed up for reddit.
