Hi everyone, I'm Mark. I'm a 46yr old Irish guy living in Bavaria, Germany.

I had a little panic attack recently when I realised I was 4 yrs off being 50 and had never made a proper go at it with my music. So I created a YouTube channel and am documenting my progress. Partly to have a record, partly for promotion of what I'm creating and partly to keep myself motivated, which is something I've always struggled with. The channel welcome vid explains my plan.

I've dabbled with music all my life but mostly had very basic equipment. I wouldn't have considered anything I had ever created to be more than just a sketch. I recently invested what I could afford into a few things, but decent things. So I'm now happy with the quality I'm getting, or at least happier than I have been until now.

I have a few songs on the channel along with me doing a couple mini breakdowns of the projects on cubase for anyone who might find that stuff interesting. I'm brainstorm new content ideas to feed the channel regularly.

Plan is to have 3 consecutive projects I'm working on simultaneously. This helps when I get stuck on any one or just fancy a change of pace.

One will be a concept album (band style) , one an acoustic album & an the last an album of stuff with an old friend who I had a band with back in college.

I'll be playing and singing everything on all 3 projects expert the old band stuff my friend will take the main vocals as he wrote those songs.

So this song I'm sharing was the first song I'd written in a very long time. Couple months ago now. It was one of the first I did with the new gear and my satisfaction with how it turned out was one of the motivations for me trying the whole YouTube lark 🤣

So here you go.. Happy for any feedback or comments. Thanks for reading to anyone who made it to the end 😅

I met a musician playing their heart out in the city. I didn't know his situation, but he's trying to get his music out so he can move away from playing on the streets and at venues.

This song speaks about a man returning to a place he doesn't recognize and a girl who is controlled by her past. Listen and enjoy!

Hey everyone!

We’re Novelty Acts, an alternative rock band from Thessaloniki, Greece, and we’ve just released our debut album, RANDOM PATH.

It’s a collection of memories, ideas, dreams, love, confusion and everyday chaos, with each song taking its own direction.

We’d love for you to give it a listen, follow us if you like what you hear, and let us know what you think in the comments. We'd be happy to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for checking us out! 🖤

I run an Instagram account that focuses on album art - breaking down album covers and whatnot. But I’ve been focusing on mainstream artists and I’d like to start spotlighting album art for lesser known, indie artists/bands as well. Does anyone know of an Instagram account that spotlights indie music that might be open to collabing on album cover breakdown posts on occasion? Thanks ✌️

Hey,
I’m in college and did this indie rock music survey for a class. I would greatly appreciate it if people did it. It should take 3 minutes tops. Thank you so much

Hey guys and gals, I'm the bassist of a small German alt/psychedelic rock band called "Cosmic Mints" and our new LP "Near Mint" dropped yesterday. We try to do as much as we can ourselves or with friends. We even found a little shop that still produces vinyl. Much appreciated if you'd check it out!

Hello guys. I'm Rob the aforementioned old bastard. At 42 I'm taking the questionable decision of trying to make it work as a musician/touring artist outside of the day job. Unlikely? Yes. But with potential/hope? No.

Anyway, there's two versions of my first song, the former full band produced by actually successful musician Frank Turner, and a second acoustic variant produced by me at home.If you have any time I'd be grateful for your ears.

Full band is here (also on apple tidal whatever)

cheers for giving it a shot. More music coming every month until I have enough to press a vinyl more times than anyone wants and annoy my wife with boxes of it filling the spare room.
