I am the proud wearer of a FAB (fuck ass bob) with baby-ish bangs. I am in dire need of a haircut. The place I usually go is almost $100 for the wash/cut/style and I just cannot afford that right now. So, I’m asking for advice/input on the best great clips, or other affordable place, so I can get a couple inches chopped off. Please! Share your experience of a great clips that I can trust not to butcher my bob. Thank you!

Hi friends. I just got let go from my corporate marketing job of over four years. I just bought a house in April and just bought a car two months ago. I have some savings but considering I just bought two very large purchases, I don’t have a lot. I’m over 50 applications deep for corporate marketing jobs and I’m going to continue applying to as many as I can every day.
That said, I’m looking for anyone who has any connections to that world. Or anyone who knows of any openings for part-time work or who needs a pet sitter or a house sitter or anything of the sort so I can supplement my income until I do get that next permanent role. I’m looking for some words of encouragement, some leads, some friends, some people with pets who need them walked. Anything.
I’m also considering going back to grad school. And probably need someone to talk me out of that. But if not now, then when?
Thanks in advance!

I know this is by far the biggest stretch. Does anyone have any insight on the Minj grille wing sauce recipe or something very close? I now live in FL but have a rampaging craving for Minj wings.
Someone please help! TIA!!

Renaissance Plaza sold for $22 million; 58.4% below its reported 2025 tax assessment of $52,850,800.
If its taxable value were reduced to the sale price, applying the same 2026–27 rates used in this comparison would cut annual property taxes from about $886,836 to $369,160.
About $517,676 less each year: $246,344 for Greensboro, $243,567 for Guilford County and $27,766 for the downtown improvement district.
When residential assessments rise faster than commercial, homeowners and renters end up with a larger share of the tax burden.
Likely similar reductions across multiples of commercial properties is weakening Greensboro's tax base at the expense of the people who live here, on top of what we're already facing next year, even if they 'don't' raise tax rates.

Playing kid games takes me back to a moment in time of childhood.
Before kids. Before bills. Before politics.
I invite you to join us for kickball Sunday this Sunday at 5pm. Game starts at 5:30. Grab a name tag. Meet new people.
It’s family friendly. Big kids can play too. They built a brand new playground for the younger kids.
The air is gonna be crisp. The vibes will be high.
I truly hope to see you there!!!

Is anyone on this sub going to the show? It my first time seeing him live and the looming cloud of cancellation is still shrouding.
Of course, I wouldn’t get mad if he canceled. I thinks that’s apart of his whole concert experience anyways ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Been a while since I've spent much time in Greensboro, so I need suggestions on restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, or things to do close to The Pyrle.
I'm driving from Carrboro and will probably aim to get there around mid-afternoon as to avoid traffic, so I'll have a few hours to kill before the show.

If you’re in Greensboro and looking for a meaningful way to help locally, the David Wilson Food Pantry could really use a few more hands.
In September, the pantry served 581 people across 219 households — all in just four distribution days. More than 7,500 pounds of food went straight to families, seniors, and neighbors who needed support. It’s run almost entirely by volunteers, and the impact is huge.
Each month we distribute fresh produce (yams, peppers, cucumbers, onions), proteins (chicken, fish, pork, shrimp), dairy, pantry staples, and low‑sodium canned goods. We also provide infant supplies and hygiene items. A lot of the fresh produce — 612 pounds this month — comes from partners like Second Harvest Food Bank, Aldi, LCOF members, and Jamestown Presbyterian Church.
The pantry operates out of:
Lutheran Church of Our Father
3304 Groometown Road, Greensboro
It’s a small team doing big work, and we’d love to welcome a few more volunteers — whether you can help once a month, once a quarter, or whenever your schedule allows. Tasks include sorting produce, packing boxes, greeting neighbors, and helping with distribution days. It’s friendly, low‑pressure, and genuinely rewarding.
If you’re interested in volunteering or want more info, here’s the contact:

Just a rant from a cranky old person .

Can Greensboro PD have some of their top tier social media nerds do some actual ground work on City Council? Or ya know, informing people about NC A&T homecoming this month?
This just makes me wince and hate the GPD more than I should.

I'm going to be moving in the next month and am looking for some cheap/free boxes for packing. Anyone know where to get some or have any they're looking to get rid of?

Hey everyone!
I’m the founder of 1V1 Spades LLC, and I’m organizing a competitive card gaming event at the Greensboro Coliseum on December 19.
I’m looking for experienced tournament organizers, especially those who already run 2v2 Spades tournaments, who might be interested in co-hosting.
The idea is to bring multiple tournaments together under one roof, including:
Traditional 2v2 Spades tournaments
Competitive 1v1 Spades
Other card games with established tournament communities
I’ll be handling the main event planning, venue coordination, and promotion. Co-hosts would operate their own tournaments, with space and logistics worked out together.
I’m especially interested in organizers from Greensboro, Charlotte, Raleigh, and surrounding areas.
The goal is to build a bigger competitive Spades scene and give established organizers an opportunity to reach new players.
If you already host tournaments or know someone who does, feel free to comment or DM me!
Website: https://1v1tournaments.org
Date: December 19, 2026
Location: Greensboro Coliseum Complex, Greensboro, NC
No partner. No excuses.
