Hey Everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to share a few custom kitchens that I’ve built recently. Every cabinet is custom designed with the client and hand built in my shop here in Asheville NC. Clear communication and attention to detail is why I’ve been in business for five years and haven’t had a single unsatisfied client.
I’d love the chance to build you your dream kitchen or custom built-in. Reach out for a free consultation and quote.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Noah Klaus

I was walking on the Greenway earlier and a mama bear and her cub crossed the road right at Merrimon and WT Weaver, but then a fire truck pulled up to help a stalled car and it must have spooked the mama bear. She crossed back to the Greenway side and I assume I was too close for her baby to cross so she walked towards me as I backed away for what felt like a lot of steps, until finally her cub crossed again and they disappeared into the creek area right there. Obviously I did not want to pull phone out and scare her, but a lot of the cars at stoplight were recording the interaction. It would be really cool to see a video of me walking backwards while a huge mama bear was walking towards me. I know it is a long shot but figured I would check here.

Hello! I know this is very strange but it seems important for the fact that I’m in possession of card information.
Tonight I walked to The Vault, and on my way I found a Bible, neatly placed on a ledge with no one around but myself and a friend, so I assumed it might’ve merely been accidentally forgotten.
In the Bible I found two important cards, one pertaining to possible bank information (debit or credit card) and the other being an EBT. Everything was labeled, including the Bible, as “Octavia.” If you know an Octavia that is missing their cards and personal Bible please let me know. I’d love to return it to you.
If this has to do with something more serious, and your card information is lost/stolen, I have it in my possession and would be happy to return it to you, along with your Bible which I feel might be personal to you. There was only one other piece of information in the Bible which I feel might either be too personal to share or unrelated but it also leads me to believe these cards/Bible might’ve been stolen from someone. I’m not sure that I’d get any leads on Reddit but I might as well try, as I don’t use Facebook. If I don’t find any leads in the next 24hrsish I’ll return it to where I found it for peace of mind; I’d hate for someone to not have access to resources online and only be able to retrace their steps and not find it again. Thanks.

When Jackson’s store is finally moved, does anyone know if they’re gonna move the giant boots to the new location? I personally don’t give a shit about the store but I like looking at the boots on my drive home and would like to know if they’ll live on or will die with the old building. Thanks!

Crazy whipping gusty wind in WAVL, spontaneous spurts of heavy rain. ZERO weather alerts.
Anyone else having scary wind?

Hello!
I would really love to go to the south eastern animal fiber fair next friday or saturday, but I'm not able to drive at the moment, and getting an uber or taxi from asheville to the WNC ag center both ways is pretty expensive. Is anyone going who might be willing to give me a lift? I can help pay for gas. I can meet up anywhere in central-ish asheville.
Bonus points if you have evidence you're like chill and not creepy. Or a member of local cloth or something. I try not to throw safety entirely out of the window. (I can also try to provide evidence that I'm chill and not creepy)
Thanks <3

I’d like to go but will be going by myself if so. Just seeing what’s up. Big fan of both the game and the art form so it’s cool to see them combined! :)

He messaged me on TikTok - wouldn’t be surprised if he messages other women in Asheville.
Turns out his account is here on Reddit with the same email!

A few weeks ago I started a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game at the Deck Box catered to new players or those who want an occasional Drop-in style game as opposed to a full on structured campaign.
Well, we’re almost a month in and things have been going great! I’ve included a few pics from our sessions so far!
If you’d like to join us, here are the details:
WHERE: The Deck Box 3049 Hendersonville Rd
WHEN: 6:00-9:00pm every Wednesday
COST: $15/person
EXPERIENCE NEEDED: None! New players are welcome and encouraged! I’m happy to teach you the game!
WHAT TO BRING: I provide miniatures, terrain, dice, and character sheets. You are more than welcome to bring your own but nothing is required.
We hope to see you all at our next adventure!

Does anyone know of any groups of patient advocates that are working on the issue of abuse within the mission hospital system. I experienced a tremendous amount of abuse there as a teen, leading to ptsd, and I’m now furious over the fact that it’s still happening. Specifically Copestone adolescent until when it was at st. Joes. There is a psychiatrist there who I’ve had personal experience with as well as heard from other survivors as emotionally abusive. I want to be apart of something that can help stop this.

The title says it all- I’m looking for somewhere around town that is:
1) not a massive chain
2) good bar seating with TVs
3) has sports or something entertaining on usually
4) great affordable food (think like $30-$35 max with food, a draft beer and a tip)
5) friendly staff
Im pretty open to all kinds of food- American fare/mexican/cuban/korean/japanese/jamaican. I’m open to chatting with the bartender and what not but I plan to just decompress without having to cook for once so cozy is the action word tonight. My usual go-to is Lil Chango but I don’t feel like staring at the wall tonight.
Thanks for y’all’s recommendations!

Perhaps not the correct flair but I'm looking for stinging nettle to experiment with making my own tea blends. Earthfare carries a few other tea herbs but, last I checked, they didn't have stinging nettle. Does anyone have any leads?

I’ve never been on the Mountain to Sea trail north of Craven Gap. Thought I heard there was a lot of damage from Helene up that way. Has anyone recently hiked up towards Rattlesnake Lodge or beyond?

I tried calling, but no one answered, so my questions go here.
Looking for opinions on the place. Worth the $40?
What comes in the box, just some bottles?
What can you bring if you bring your own box?
Do they add other items to beat upon besides the stuff in the box?

Looking for a cafe? Or a brewery? Or, honestly, open to any suggestions. Looking to make extra cash on the weekend, as I work a full-time job M-F. I have about 5+ years of serving experience.

So I woke up this morning to both my trash and recycling bins missing from the street. Not sure what kind of person steals trash cans but, it happened.
They left the ratchet strap we used and put it on another neighbors bin. The trash had a large E spray painted in brown on the side so it is recognizable. It also had a hole drilled in the middle of the handle for the ratchet strap.
I don't know why I am posting except out of frustration and awareness.
Either way, be careful; there appear to be more than bears after your trash cans.
Also if you happen to see a trash can with a large E spray painted on it, please snap a pic and give me a shout!
