My god, what is up with Czajkowski? These poor TA's man!!!!! Getting yelled at in front of the entire lecture hall for mistakenly saying the midterm would be about 15 ish minutes longer than it was? I get it, it's rough, but screaming at TA's in front of your students (who are likely your TA's peers as well) is fucked up! I remember being so uncomfortable after I left the exam hall, it was like watching your friend get yelled at by his parents at his house lmao.

Im wearing my headphones and I can STILL hear the girl next to me eating chips. It’s soooo LOUD. Like damn at least eat quietly. Last time this girl was chewing her gum and I’m not even joking I was so close to punching her. Please guys when you’re eating loud food eat it outside of the library.
Thanks 💗💗😀

if you are the cyclist carrying groceries that i hit with my car at the nelson/laurier intersection i hope you are doing well and that your bike isnt damaged and that you made it home safe 😭😭😭

Saw this on my way to campus this morning. Is this why Brooks isn’t demolished yet? Knowing how the admin handled bed bugs, wouldn’t be surprised if students in Brooks were getting sick not knowing exactly why. Maybe they were studying so much in a confined space where there was hidden mold.

Did you know that many of your professors are contract instructors? We are paid less than our tenure-track colleagues to teach the same course. Many of us teach as many, if not more, courses. We receive less benefits (we don’t even have vision coverage). Most of us must reapply for our own courses every year. We work just as hard as our tenure-track peers and believe in quality education. Support us as we, members of the Association of Teaching Professors of the University of Ottawa (ATPUO), negotiate a new collective agreement. Equal work, equal pay! Security, not precarity!

Did you know that contract professors make between 15k and 30k compare to 130k to 230k for tenure profs. More on full-time profs salaries: https://www.ontariosunshinelist.com/

I know I PICKED them but it’s only because these were the only options :(((( i hate it, all my classes are long af and I have 4 finals scheduled from 7-10pm. Genuinely so sick of this bulllllshitttttt

I’m a first year, but I already love my uni
All friends, profs are so nice and kind
I like my course schedule
I also like my study routine, although my one elective and ENG1100 scores are not that good😂😂

But I’m still enjoying Uni life!! How about you guys?

Saw a bunch on cars and officers today around 6PM

I am a third year and have never joined a club on campus before. This may seem like a silly question, but I genuinely have no idea how to reach out to or join a club (or even if I can in the middle of the school year). Any information would be helpful.

I am also looking for recommendations on which clubs to join. For context, I have some pretty significant social anxiety issues, and I’m trying to make more of an effort this year to meet people and (hopefully) make friends. I am a Caucasian woman, so I imagine I would not be welcome in any clubs that are for specific minority groups. I’m looking for pretty much anything, as long as the people are nice.

I appreciate any advice or suggestions ❤️

Did anyone do really good on the midterm. I went to every lecture and studied after each class so I thought I would do well but didn’t.

I need BRUTAL honesty. I've missed psy 1102 classes like CRAZY due to work, I've genuinely attended only 3 classes this year.

Please lmk if the exam is easy enough to just study the day before.

How the hell is this lab legal?

i tried logging in with both the email i used to apply for the uni and the one that came with the email (eg: name@uottawa.ca). what should i do😭also who do i ask for help? is there an email where i can ask questions/

Hey everyone! My group and I need a spot on campus to practice a presentation, but all the study rooms are booked for the day we're meeting. We're looking for somewhere we can talk out loud without bothering people, but that's also not too loud or busy so we can actually focus. Any hidden gems or underrated spots you'd recommend?

tryna do some posters. was wondering what are the policies for surfaces you're allowed to put up your posters on. like on main campus pretty much all posters are on bulletin boards exclusively, but then in the sci/eng buildings I see posters on all the walls, pillars, and windows. whats with that? assuming my posters get approved, am I allowed to tape up my posters on essentially any (reasonable) surface in the sci/eng buildings too? are posters actually also allowed minimally on all the walls on main campus too, just it isn't explicit or written in policy?

Anyone who was with Dr. Mike Robinson how were his midterms?

This midterm is unnecessarily difficult, I wonder if there are people actually finishing the paper

Has anyone from the faculty of arts received anything about co-op admissions? im starting to get nervous because i havent seen/heard anything back yet. I technically applied in high school (the conditional offer) and my cgpa is currently at 9.0 so i figured i wouldve seen something by now but idk

Is it too late to drop a course rn? I rly need to my grade is gonna be super bad he’s such a hard marker and I’m so stressed. Can I withdraw and take it in the summer?

Any advice/tips/stories? Also, what organizations have come in the past, and what did the challenges look like?
