News Last.fm Radio — generate playlists from your local library using Last.fm (foo_webview2)
Hi everyone!
I’ve been building Last.fm Radio, a free, open-source panel for foobar2000 inspired by Soft Playlists.
The idea is to use Last.fm to rediscover music in your own collection. It looks up tracks and artists on Last.fm, matches the results against your local library, and lets you create a playlist from the matches.
Features
• Discover music through similar artists and tracks.
• Search with multiple Last.fm tags, combining all or any of them.
• Adjust a “surprise” slider for more adventurous selections.
• Build playlists from Last.fm users’ top tracks.
• Preview and optionally write album GENRE and COUNTRY tags using Last.fm album and artist tags.
• French and English interface.
Requirements
• foobar2000 on Windows.
• foo_webview2 0.3.27.0.
• Your own Last.fm API key — setup is explained in the README.
This uses music already in your library; it doesn’t stream or download audio. Tag editing is optional, with a preview before you choose Add or Replace.

It’s currently a beta. I’ve been using it with my own large library, but I’d love feedback from other setups, especially on installation, matching accuracy and performance.
I’m its author, and it was developed with assistance from OpenAI Codex. The source is available under the MIT licence.
Hope some fellow local-library listeners find it useful!
