I know it's taboo for a woman to propose to a man, but he told me that he would be extremely happy if I proposed to him. He informed me that if I did, his answer would be Yes!

I plan on taking him on a date to this German town near me, and with it being Halloween we're going to be in our pokemon onsies. 😂 He has a Pikachu onesie I got him as a gift, and I have my Gengar one. The ring box will be a Luxury Ball since that's his favorite pokéball.

He didn't want a standard band, so I figure this one would be different but subtle. He likes minimalist aesthetics. The stone for his ring is Aquamarine, which is my birthstone. His birthstone Emerald will be in the ring he gifts to me.

TLDR: proposing to my boyfriend on Halloween, taking him to a German town, nerding out with pokemon stuff, swapped out casual diamonds with our birthstones. He approves of being proposed to. 👍

Last week my fiancé proposed in Paris (where I have dreamed of visiting since I was a little girl) and I genuinely couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect moment.

We also visited Monet’s garden in Giverny, so of course my new favorite accessory had to make an appearance there, too.

To address some comments: the jewelers must have infused some sort of magic in this as it is not sharp, pokey, or prone to catch on anything (this is coming from a grade-A clumsy autistic who’s been affianced for a month now, so I’ve had some time to rough it up 😆). The prongs cover any pointy edges from the kite-cut sapphires, and the sloped mounting keeps it flush on my finger (I often forget I’m wearing it until I see it!).

For those of you making fairy tale, fantasy, and storybook comparisons— I love you and y’all are right on the money. A girl loves her whimsy!

Has anybody received a ring and somehow felt like this ring belonged to them before?

It’s not big, it’s not in your face, but it’s absolutely perfect for me. I finally let myself want what I actually WANT and not what I think “I should want”. It took me forever to find something that I screamed my name. I found this, told my partner, and he secretly bought it for me and surprised me with it. It was all perfect.

It’s almost underwhelming, but not in a bad way. I feel like I have always had this ring on my finger. I feel like its been mine before maybe? Idk how to explain it but it doesn’t feel new and exciting it feels like it has always been mine. I find it really hard to explain this feeling. It’s not a bad feeling at all, I don’t feel sad, I am ecstatic. But when I look at the ring idk i don’t get this crazy “OMG wow” feeling, I see it and feel like wow this beautiful flower has been here all along. I feel crazy! Someone please tell me they have felt this way before.

It’s a 1930s Flower Ring with 18k yellow and white gold with 7 diamonds to makeup the flower. It’s going to be 100 years old the year of our 10 year anniversary. It all feels so special to me. I thought I’d get butterflies every time I look at my ring but thats not actually how I ended up reacting. It just feels like a natural part of me now, like it’s always been here.

Long time lurker!! Now a fiancé! My gf completely amazed me with her proposal yesterday. We had a trip planned to get out of the city and enjoy a nice cabin in the woods to see the leaves changing. Of course on our way there we took a detour to the most gorgeous gardens I have ever seen. growing up I’ve always loved princess diana/kate’s ring, but of course i wanted to make it my own.

The center is 1.2ct lab grown. The halo is a mixture of princess, round, and marquise cuts. ring size HK 13.

I love her so much. We had the ring designed and made by a female independent jeweller near where we live in South London after getting engaged with a placeholder. Took a little while, but absolutely worth it - fun experience and ended up with exactly what I wanted but couldn’t articulate properly. I’m not very good at taking pictures of detail, but here she is (and one of the temporary one because she will always have a special place in my heart).

0.92 emerald cut centre stone. Think it is G in colour, no idea the rest - I was shown a selection of stones and picked the one I was most drawn to. Think finger size is J, but is just a finger, innit.

we got engaged last month. i had no idea it was going to happen that night but, i should have known. we decided to do holiday photos after years of saying we should, and never actually doing them.
it was on a random monday evening. Didn’t have that cute of an outfit or even my nails done. Plus that day i had started my new job and had almost rescheduled the photos (my cousin did them for us at no charge) which he also had no idea that my fiance was going to propose! so my cousin found out seconds before i even knew what was happening!!!

this was the 2nd ring i tried on at the very first store we went to. the sales person was AMAZING. she did not make me feel pressured or like i was wasting her time. we went to other stores straight after and all other salespersons were rude and did not care to even help us.
i was not expecting to find my ring that day, we were in edmonton for a wedding and at that time, i had no idea what i even wanted so we planned to go to a few jewelry stores so i can try some on so figure out what i liked.

TLDR: i started a new job on a monday and engaged the same day. did not expect it, did holiday photos but also rescheduled. 2nd ring i tried on at the store and fell in love w/ ring and salesperson was amazing, other stores after employees were rude.

Long time stalker, first time poster.
I have been stalking rings on this thread and on Pinterest since before he took me ring shopping in November last year! I fell in love with the elongated cushion cut and they had a 2ct that I tried on. I also loved the bezel on other rings because it looked so much more secure (and pretty in my opinion) because I’m a teacher and a gardener and I just always had this thought that I would break one of the prongs and lose it 🤣 he did an amazing job of putting them together into this ring for me. Anyway!!! Mine is Lab grown, 2.5ct on my very skinny fingers. I also stressed that I didn’t want the gold band to be too thin or thick (difficult I know) and I think it’s perfect. I also didn’t want a super high set stone and this was as low as they could get it and it doesn’t feel too high at all. But most importantly, I get to marry my best friend! How good!!!!

He proposed today! Fall is my favorite season and every year we make a big date day of going to a Pumpkin Patch together to do all the cute fall things and pick pumpkins. And he surprised me with a proposal in the middle of the pumpkin patch! 🧡 I love him and my ring and I just wanted to share!
