do you think it’s worth it to upgrade from emerald cut moissanite to lab diamond? from what i’ve seen, they’re a pretty comparable in this cut especially, and i’m loving the quality of these moissanites above.

I have yet to see a lab in person in this cut which will likely give me a better idea. what i do like about labs in emerald cuts is the depth, but i think it really depends on the quality of the stone? has anyone been here before? TYIA

Not sure how to style my green moissanite ring! Should I do the plain band on the bottom or no plain bottom band? I think I like the leaf band and the little stud on the top! just not sure if I should include the plain bottom band or not, picture of both styles included.

I'm thinking of getting a 2-3 carat pear or oval solitaire on a 3-4 mm plain gold band and I am finding most rings these days have much thinner bands.

Edit to add: Well, now im officially freaking out a little. The video is low quality from me cropping and zooming in so im hoping thats the issue as it looks more clear in the original video sent by GBJ. Also emailed last night for more videos in different lighting. I guess now we wait to see if its a dud in person :(

This was the second stone sent after I rejected the first for a crazy bowtie and being too cloudy/milky for my taste. I think its beautiful and cannot wait to see the final product in person! Hi everyone! I just received the CAD for my custom wedding ring and would love some opinions before approving it.

It’s a oval moissanite in 14k size 4.

I love the vintage-inspired design, but I’ve already asked the vendor to remove some of the small diamonds around the base of the center stone and simplify the side details a little, with less milgrain. I still want that vintage look, just not too busy.
Since this is my first custom ring, I’m not really sure what to look for in a CAD.
Does the overall design look good? Are there any concerns about the band thickness, setting, prongs, or durability? Anything else I should ask the vendor to change before approving?

I am learning about Moissanite. I don’t understand what it means to “see” a double refraction. What am I looking for in identifying a mossy radiant-cut stone? I think the refraction is showing as those parallel bars in the pic that seem to “circle the center. The last picture is face down, and the cutlet is pointing up. I saw in other posts on this sub that you can identify a mossy because the facets of the point are doubled.

I texted 3 different people about a custom ring that i want. The ring already exists on their alibaba page. I just need it to be in a different metal with a specific sized central stone. Yet all three of them ignore me after I make my customisation known. I have demanded a price estimate before they begin.

Am i doing something wrong? Am i too direct? Is it normal for them to ignore me and they will get back at me later?

I’m thinking about getting a moissanite ring from Diamondrensu and wanted to hear from people who have owned one for at least 5 years. How has yours held up with everyday wear? Does the stone still look the same, and have you had any issues with scratches, cloudiness, loose stones, or the setting? Just looking for honest experiences from people who have had their rings for a while.

I'm not too worried yet but my partner is. We ordered a stock ring from Provence Gems just before the recent holiday was over. He got an email about a week ago saying they are working on the CAD. Should it even take this long for a stock ring set? We still need to tell them the size needs to be adjusted. This is our first time ordering from them.
