Hi everyone,

I recently received confirmation that my background verification (BGV) was successfully completed. My recruiter previously confirmed that the offer was internally approved, but the formal offer letter is still pending extension.

For those who have gone through Oracle's hiring process:

1. How long did it take to receive your offer letter after BGV clearance?

2. What are the remaining steps between offer approval and formal extension?

3. Has anyone experienced system-related delays during this stage?

Hey, recently had a query regarding the SRE role in OCI and other branches. Was thinking if it is still a good role at Oracle or the firing will still continue in that domain?

I left Oracle NetSuite willingly few months back for a partner. I worked at Oracle for 5 years. I don’t enjoy the work I am doing at this partner firm and it isn’t how I expected. I don’t mind taking lesser pay, was wondering if there is some sort of waiting of time limit for rehires? Does anyone know?

According to the layoffs.com (https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1m5a0b0t7 ) offices less than 100 people are closing in EMEA. Rummor is that these offices are closing.

Some others like Serbia, Slovakia, Denmark, Finland might also not be spared

One of the remaining Oracle offices in Manila has recently downsized. From occupying 5 floors, down to 4 last year, and now 2 more floors are closing.
So there’s just 2 floors now.

Yes, a lot of teams have transition to working from home post pandemic, but I can’t help but wonder if this is part of an exit plan down the line.

Personally, my psyche has been screwed up with all the uncertainties that I find myself pyscho-analyzing everything and I’m paranoid over every little thing. 😓
