🌇 Community URGENT: How can I deliver food to people stuck inside DXB Terminal 2 immigration (A2A visa change)?

I’m looking for some urgent advice. I know someone (or a group of people) currently stuck inside the arrivals/immigration holding area at Dubai Airport Terminal 2. They are doing an Airport-to-Airport (A2A) visa run and are stranded waiting for their visa approvals to come through.

They’ve been waiting for hours and have run out of food to buy meals at airport prices. Because they are airside (behind immigration), I cannot just walk in and hand them food, and standard delivery apps like Talabat/Deliveroo only drop off at the public arrivals area outside.

Does anyone know a legal workaround for this?

🌟 Fun Is wearing boots in Dubai a bad idea?

I’ve been eyeing these lovely Pavers boots for women, but they have a warm lining inside. Is it unthinkable to wear something like that here? Or do women make such boots work?

Please advise before I buy and regret.

The Talabat Conspiracy!

Last year, I used my company email address to subscribe to Talabat Pro.

In May, I lost my job and wanted to cancel the subscription, but until now, they have continued deducting money from my account.

I wouldn’t mind the deductions if I could still log in to my account using my company email address on my phone.

But look at this! There’s no option to log in using my other email address, only the email addresses shown here.

How am I supposed to cancel my subscription if I can’t even access the account? This is incredibly frustrating! I just want to cancel my subscription and stop these recurring deductions. 🤦🏽‍♀️ No number to call. Their ‘HELP’ is not helping. It shows Talabat pro subscription but no cancellation.

as a girl, i felt the most comfortable in dubai

• Upvotes

ive been travelling since i was literally 3 months old, and i've been to a lot of countries and a lot of cities all over the world. i'm a woman, well, a girl, bc im a minor. somewhere i didn't feel safe at all, no matter what i was wearing, what time it was etc. somewhere i felt okay, but still walking alone didn't feel safe enough. i was in dubai two times, and the last ive been there, it was may 2026, not only i really enjoyed this short trip, but i also understood that dubai is fr the most comfortable place for me. i'm pretty sure that a lot of women would agree with me. i remember walking late at night from the restaurant to the hotel i've been staying at, wearing a tiny dress or smth like that, and feeling completely safe and at peace. i could wear whatever i want, walk wherever i want at any time of the day. of course, i don't the the city at all, since i visited it only two times, but let's say that i knew how to get from the beach from our hotel lol.

even in my home country, even in my hometown, i don't feel safe, especially in the summer, when i have to wear revealing / short clothes in case i don't want to fckn die from the heat lol.

it's incredibly important for me to be sure that i can wear whatever i want when i visit another place.

i miss dubai already, i had such a great time there!!!❤️

Marasi drive & Al asayel st supercar nuisance !!!!

These f*cking supercars in Downtown and Business Bay are getting out of hand. Nonstop revving and racing on Al Asayel Street and Marasi Drive like it’s F1.
It’s happening constantly, especially late at night. Please report it to the police if you’re dealing with this too. Hopefully, enough complaints will push for action and proper speed cameras before someone gets hurt.

Dubai road design

Is it standard in Dubai that road design has to be bad and dangerous? I've seen so much crappy road design here. Why is that? Is it just incompetence or is it on purpose? Anyone?

GCC deportation record: can it block UAE family visa approval?

I'm a European citizen living in Dubai on a work residence visa. I'm planning to marry my fiancée, who is Malian. We're both Muslim.

Her situation is a bit unusual: she was born in Saudi Arabia but was never registered there, so she has no iqama. She now has a Malian passport through her embassy. Before we marry she'll need to leave Saudi, ideally through an amnesty or an embassy-arranged exit, though it may end up recorded as a deportation.

For anyone with experience of this, or who works in visas or PRO services:

Will a Saudi exit or deportation record show up when I apply for her spouse visa, and has anyone seen that lead to a refusal?
Do Malian or other West African nationals face extra scrutiny for spouse visas, beyond the standard checks?
Is it better to marry abroad (e.g. in Mali) and sponsor her as my wife, or bring her here first on a visit visa and marry in Abu Dhabi?
Any tips on documents, attestation, or how to present the file?

Personal experiences especially welcome. Thanks in advance.

Dubai tall girlies.. where do we buy long pants from?

If you’re 174 and above, where do you shop for pants?

No Zara for obvious reasons. And no generic shops who don’t feature a “tall” section.

And no teenage stores please. Something appropriate for women in their 30s.

I just don’t know where to ship from. I once got some things from PLT and once from ASOS and once from Aritzia they charged me a lot of money for import duties. I dunno what I’m doing wrong.

And while you’re at it.. where do we find tall guys lol.. but the pants are more important for now.

Thanks!

Need advise - car issue

Post image
1 Upvotes

I discovered a dent, scratches on my car and red car paint. This could have been over the last 2 days as I only noticed this today. Looks like someone has hit the car and gone away without bothering you leave their information or calling the cops. I saw a red car in the parking lot that has dents and scratches on the car and I'm pretty sure it's THE car. But I have no proof and there are no cameras in the parking area.

What should I do?

If I call the cops - will they check with the driver? Else, I will end up paying for the paperwork, insurance excess etc.

🏠 Housing & Real Estate Apartment smelling and feeling sick

Hi guys,

I signed a lease for an apartment in a rush ( I know it’s my fault) but I basically moved in was told there was leaking from the upstairs tenant and now it’s fixed.

When I moved in I took videos of the paint being peeled and wall hasn’t been fixed and the smell is insanely strong like something wet and rotting.

They just painted over it but the smell of mildew was still there and the paint peeled over again in the same spots. it’s been three weeks now and I just feel so tired and my throat and sinuses feel ruff.

I raised concerned with the landlord and maintenance it could be mold they dismissed it saying it would be visible on the walls if it was.

I don’t know what to do now I’m probably gonna do a mold test to ensure I’m not sick but after that I don’t know what to do do I open a case or will the owner reimburse me make me live in their other units.

Sorry I don’t know the process here thanks anyway!

So i decided to boom home cleaning service from S because they kept on tempting me with a 20 dirham voucher.
So i was hoping to get 59 dhs bill or max 60 on the 79 dhs bill after using voucher- but they pulled an Uno reverse by applying Additional charges (of god knows what) equivalent to voucher amount?

what's the point of giving these vouchers.

🌇 Community Insensitive to goodbyes

I have grown up in Dubai. I am in my mid 40s and I have come to realization that I am so used to people walking in an out of life and it doesn’t affect me at all anymore. Have blessed life, work is great, I have lot of time on my hand, but I just feel this coldness now, it doesn’t affect when any friend or family is moving away, I am not sure if this is due to the transit nature of living in this region or is it even that we are just too busy with social media, YouTubes and too many distractions that it doesn’t hit you anymore. Very often I miss the past a lot but last 10-15 years have just been a blur!

Anyone else feels this way? Would be great to know what others who have lived here long enough thinks about this.

🌇 Community Does anyone know a good carpenter

Hello♡

I've been searching online for a decent and affordable carpenter. So far, all I got was either ignored or a positive and enthusiastic response to my plans then poof, they fall off the face of the earth.

I've reached out to 5, 2 I found on dubizzle and 1 from IG and 2 from google.

I thought I'd give it a shot here if anyone had had any experience with a reliable carpenter that does custom work. Is going through companies like this a normal experience or am I just terrible at finding carpenters? Haha

I've worked with other service providers before and this is the first time I have experienced this flakiness.

Thank you!♡

Are visit visas for Bangladeshi passport holders being issued again, or are they still on hold? Has anyone recently received one?

🔥 Rants & Complaints Extreme Jaywalking

So moving on from my truck story 🚚 and the falling pipes...

...again we're back as usual on the Yalayis again this morning after dropping off the kids to school.

There is a sort of concrete divider along the road coming out of DIP -> DAMAC Hills intersection (Northwards / Al Hebiah direction), as there has been roadworks going on for a while.

So this is clearly highway territory where we're all @ 80km/h+ cruising forward...and lo and behold, a gentelmen with full conviction and intent is climbing over the block with one leg, looking extremely prepped and ready to make a jump for it....literally in front of me!!!

I honked, flashed, lowered my window waved my hand and screamed at the top of my lungs. And he stopped in his tracks and stepped down behind the concrete block.

As I checked in my rear-view mirror it seemed he reconsidered his choice. And stayed back.

I mean....seriously are we still doing this? Involuntary Manslaughter was never on my bucket list FFS.

/ end rant.
