Question Slope style recommendations needed
I’ve been here in this sub for a minute and have always trusted the feedback here so I ask, what slope style bikes are you guys running and what to avoid? I’m ready to get one but the current options are limited, I’m looking ultimately for used but I’ll consider new if the suggestions lean towards that. Ty everyone

Freewheel replacement – help finding part
i have a 2019 La Bomba, and i'm trying to replace the freewheel but i can't for the life of me figure out what part i need. attached a pic of what it looks like, it's a 10 tooth cog on the other side, and it slips off the rear axle.
i've found this page: https://www.bikestacja.pl/en/reverse-freehub-body-single-speed-hub-base-rear-10t-grey-p-44547.html which seems to be exactly the part, but i can't find any other stores selling something similar (i'm in the uk)
can anyone help me with a search term? thanks!

First time on wall
My 14 yo (colorful sweatshirt) decides to try the wall for the first time and nails it (I think!) He followed someone on the course.

My 12 year old is really getting into dirt jumping
Thinking about trying to build some at our house, but we don’t have much elevation, it’s very flat. Unsure if a short line would work without a natural downward grade.

Never too old to start
First post ever. Bought a dj January 2025 & really committed myself to it after bike park season last year. This season i rode it all spring and summer and progressed nicely. I wouldn’t say I’m good but I can confidently say I don’t suck. Turning 50 January 2027 I just got into BMX, it might be my next big thing 🚀

Bike Showcase still loving it 17 years later
galleryMy Spank Tweet Tweet – built new in 2009, still loving it 17 years later
I built this bike up from scratch back in 2009 when I was 14. Over the years I've ridden it sometimes more, sometimes less, but I never stopped loving it. This year it finally got some proper attention.
Still original from 2009:
Marzocchi Bomber DJ1, freshly serviced
My old wheelset: Fusion Booster rims on 2009 Shimano Saint hubs, custom built by NOA. The Saint hubs use a standard that only existed that one year, and you can't get rotors for them anymore. So it was time for a new wheelset.
New this year:
Wheelset from a Canyon Stitched 360 Pro with DT Swiss rims, wrapped in Schwalbe Table Tops
Shimano Deore LX crank (replaced my old Hussefelt), plus a new chainring and chain
New bar and stem
New rear brake: a Frog Wake FV4 from China with a light 160mm rotor. Front stays brakeless.
What's next: going rigid (sometimes)
I just picked up a used Identiti Rebate XL and a decent front wheel for it. The plan isn't to replace the DJ1 but to have both and swap depending on the session. I also ride BMX and I love how direct and unsuspended it feels there, so I'm really curious how much lighter the Spank gets with the rigid fork and how much more direct it feels.
What do you think of the old Tweet Tweet? Anyone else still riding one?
Anyone running a rigid fork on their DJ? How does it compare to a suspension fork on dirt and pump track, and was it worth it?
The only thing I really miss on this frame is a tapered head tube. Maybe one day that means a new steel frame, but for now the Tweet Tweet stays.

Question Bike parts question
I see a few bikes around me that have the same forks on them, a transition pbj and an airborne Skyhawk. They both have the manitou circus forks. The pbj is listed at 1500$ and the Skyhawk is listed at 850. With the same forks wha would make the pbj worth that much more? Am I missing something?
When searching for bikes, what parts are important to look for? I know suspension and wheels, but anything else?

New Build Did a thing
So, after about a week of fine tuning, and having to use an old derailleur as a tensioner (i broke the one that came with the kit) I present to you the single speed 08 big hit. I originally swapped an 8 speed for a 10 speed for climb purposes. But found that I don't really climb with this bike so the 10 speed wasn't being used to it's potential. I prefer park/dj with this bike anyways now, a "slope duro" as Sam Pilgrim refers to his she is!

Looking to get into DJs
My options are a used Scott voltage yz 0.1, a Kona shonky on sale, and a used Tribe DJ. All different prices but I want to know about ride characteristics and overall durability. I’m going to be riding pump track, urban/skatepark and small to medium dirt jumps.

How much dirt to order for personal jumps

Looking to make a 3-4 set of jumps about this size with wood take offs as shown. Already have a hill for a roll in but my soil is extreme hard black clay that cant be dug by hand unless you have an excavator. Ill be ordering a 60/40 mix and nice red clay to surface it when its done. Will be built next to a ditch on 5 acres that doesnt hold water.
Think the dump trucks will hold 10 to 14 yards and want them to be 6-7 ft tall

need help with finding a good dj
will be used for abuse, urban freeride, daily commutes (i can manage standing up) and hops/manuals once i learn them
i am 161cm tall or 5'3" in burger units (i'm 13) but i guess that won't matter since i need a 26" anyway
budget is 1200 RON or 300 USD so i want to lean more towards second hand bikes (i know it might seem cheap but in romania economy is very different)
would appreciate something with hydraulic brakes

Question Looking for bike recommendations.
I’m 6’2” 270#. Started less than a year ago at 475# and have gotten into cycling now. I currently have a road bike and a gravel bike. There is a park that looks like it would be fun to ride, dirt track and a pump track as well.
I’m wanting to get a bike to try this out as well, but spent a decent chunk of money on my other 2 bikes so my budget is fairly limited at the moment. I’m also concerned about jumping at my weight.
I have been looking at dirt jumpers and also hardtail mountain bikes as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Chain tensioner for Airborne Skyhawk
Anyone know which tensioners work best for the aluminum frame Skyhawk? the Origin 8 ones look to be the best fit but seeing if anyone had any experience.
