Beat Gael over 2 years ago when I played and platinum'd the whole DS series one game after another. Been playing DS since 2016 but I didnt beat DS2 or 3 before. and when I'm about to finish Gael the last boss I had yet to beat from the entire series I get this. It was too much Cinema lmao

I've been doing my first full run in ds3 recently, going with a faith intelligence build, and I saw this boss and thought I could use acid surge, the spell that specifically effects armor and weapons, to maybe deal some light chip damage to it, but it does nothing. Why have a spell like that, and a boss thsts just armor, if the spell that weakens armor doesnt do anything?

Edit: thank you for the info so far, sad to see a spell so useless, and I also didnt know the butterfly things were controlling that thing, thats really cool

A piece I drew for Sonnenlieds fanart challenge, designing their characters as the ashen one and the firekeeper! Dramatic lighting is one of my favorite things to do

As we all know by now, status in this game is almost useless since most bosses are either heavily resist or immune, and bleed procs dont do much damage, instead I've opted to get pure damage from scaling

On my luck build character I've already gotten to 99 luck, and although anri's straightsword is fun with over 500 AR, it's just not fun anymore after using it on every boss

Unfortunately, I'm noticing that some of these weapons dont scale very well with the hollow infusion, so I'd like to ask if there are any weapons that are actually good on a hollow infusion.

I'm not very hopeful, and I dont expect to get anything near the 270ish scaling damage on anri's straightsword, but I just want something better than the 80 I'm getting on the hollow reinforced club to finish off Gael and find something else to do with my time

Coming back to it after a handful of years, have my main character at level 121 with “meta” and non “meta” weapons maxed out for dex, strength, int, and faith builds (black knight great axe, gales sword, moonlight, whatever nameless kings sword spear is called, guts great sword, and some random but fun weapons on top like but not exclusive to gotthard’s teinblades).

I want to hop into ng+ finally (beaten it about 5 times but back when helping folks with bosses was easier), anyone have strong opinions on most fun specs?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated, just wanted something fun until I likely swap specs when I can.

Soooo, both DLCs down too. As always, plain spear with no effects "shreds" bosses (there weren't even yellow damage on Gael LOL).

Midir and Friede added another two 4-attempt fights and Gael broke the record and died in 7. Overall liked all bosses besides Gravetender duo cause...it was the most "oh there's boss?" moment.

Loved Painting DLC whole, didn't like levels of Ringed city that much and mostly I have those stupid ass respawning summoning giants to thank, like wtf is even that WHY THEY RESPAWN. I didn't mind the first one, but second one in the swamp...*sigh*. Cleared out all of it to collect my items in peace, got killed by dragonslayer armour (???) and saw that THIS DUDE IS BACK. Also turtle enemies were annoying and I guess dudes near the beginning of Dreg heap, those blue guys. Ringed knights were cool tho and locusts were interesting. Big guys with machetes can be staggered by arrows, so they all became hedgehogs. Loved Lapp's questline, hilarious ending.

That's kinda it, Midir is cool, Gael is awesome, Demon prince I really liked, Friede was a bit annoying with her dodges, but I got used to it by third attempt. Halflight was a strange af mess, but it was at least fun. Just how I said, Gravetender duo exists and I'm okay with them (pretty pointless tho).

Soooo....time to true 100%? TIME TO TRUE 100% YAY, my favourite farming era!

Can you connect to the online features of the game? The game keeps trying but after a while it says it failed to connect.

After a few tries I beat Aldrich at Anor Lando. Thing is that after he died I got hit by one of his delayed sorceries. I received his soul and the Basin of Vows. After the short cutscene - "YOU DIED"." So of course I went back to his location and to my horror, I couldn´t find my souls.

So went back to Firelink Shrine. Placed the cinders at the throne. I realised that I had placed all the cinders and tried to figure out what to do. Went back to High Wall of Lothric, this time extremely overpowered and tried two find a new way forward. Found a room at the top of the stairs, near the exit and there they were! 73 000 souls? WTF?

Of course I should have gone back and cashed in. Instead I placed the basin and a new boss fight started. And I died again. So now, equipping my last Ring of Sacrifice!

Figured id post here considering r/pumparum is dead basically. Anyone on psn have an extra unupgraded firelink Greatsword they would be willing to donate?

I don't really like asking for advice but the weapon infusion in dark souls 3 is confusing. All i want is extra damage so why when I try to switch from a raw to heavy infusion with 25 strength the damage is less ? It's frustrating i really like this game and a lightning infusion isn't worth it till about 40 faith or am I wrong. I feel like I have just wasted the extra levels in strength thank you.
