Howdy folks,
I just recently got into cyanotypes last month in September and have been loving it! I’m currently based in TX 🤠 and next month in November we will be going back an hour. I keep telling everyone this is the perfect time to start getting into cyanotypes 🤣!! With this being said i’m looking into purchasing a UV light for these next few winter months so I can continue doing them. After reading recommendations in this subreddit i’ve come to learn that:
100w = less exposure time while 50w = longer exposure time & that 365nm is better for cyanotypes compared to 395nm.
I’ve been searched up UV light recommendations in this subreddit and the “Everbeam 365nm 50W UV LED Black Light” keeps popping up. While the overall feedback is that this light is good & does its job some say it starts lacking some months after purchasing.
i wanted to ask recommendations about these other two lights. Has anyone purchased them and have any insight?
Ekuivel 50W UV Black Light, 365nm Ultraviolet LED
Nunulumho 365nm 50W True UV LED Black Lights
Like i mentioned ive only been doing this for about a month so everything is still new to me! Any recommendations/feedback is greatly appreciated. whether it’s for UV light recommended or cyanotypes tips, thanks y’all!!
