Hi! I've been crocheting for a while now but never made a pattern myself. I have an idea for a plushie and want to make one with a chunky body where, in the side profile, the head/snout juts out a little. How do I go about the pattern for this?

my 4 year old niece is obsessed with dexter's laboratory and i was wanting to make her plushies of dexter and deedee. i found one on etsy but i was wanting the figures to be bigger, like an average stuffed animal, maybe like a foot?

it was either dexter's or tom and jerry but i didnt find patterns i liked for tom and jerry either. i might have to freehand it but ive never done that as im relatively new to crochet so i figured i'd ask here first in hopes that someone has one on hand or has better searching skills than me haha

I am seeking to make blankets for a pair of twins. I've made several in the past but have never been satisfied. They always seem too "thin." Never having had a child myself, I would have expected patterns for a baby blanket to be sort of cushy? I have ordered some Bernat Cotton Baby Soft for this project. The creator said that the pattern was available on Etsy, so I went there to check it out. Unfortunately, the pattern costs money, and I'm hella broke, so I can't afford to buy it. Hey all! I found this super cute bonnet but cannot justify spending so much on it. I thought it would be a cool idea to challenge myself and try to make it on my own. However I am having a bit of a hard time finding a pattern somewhat similar to it. Thank you for your help in advance!!

My sister has asked me to make her a bucket hat like this for Christmas. I think I could potentially wing it, but would prefer a pattern to help me plan out the striping and sizing. So far I've only been able to find patterns with horizontal stripes (which I understand would be a lot easier). Any recs would be greatly appreciated!

Has anyone rewritten or found a rewritten version of the instructions. The formatting makes it so hard to follow, they don't indicate that a slip stitch is needed after each round although that's pretty standard, and some users have indicated the stitch count is off between some rounds. I'm an advanced beginner and I think this should be manageable for me but I literally feel like I'm playing reverse God, trying to add ribs after realizing a G hook was making it too small. I've ripped it out so many times... should I cut my losses?!

hi everyone! I found this cute little pattern that I am following to use up some scrap yarn and I am stumped! I have frogged this thing so many times in the beginning bit. it keeps curling no matter how loose my tension is and even upped the hook size to 5mm.

Am I just not doing this correctly? Anyone else do this pattern and have some tips?

I finally feel ready to try fingering weight yarn and I’d love some help finding a pattern.

I want to make my mom a headscarf/bandana/babushka-style kerchief for Christmas. It’s inspired by one my grandmother used to wear — a bright red mesh one that she could fold into a triangle, put on her head, and tie under her chin. My aunt cleaned out all of Grandma’s clothes after she passed and my mom was really upset. She kept saying “she cleaned out everything… all I wanted was my mother’s headscarf.” I’ve wanted to remake something like it for her for about twenty years now.

I’m looking for something airy but not super holey, worked in fingering weight. Cute or simple is fine — I just want it to feel soft and light so it drapes nicely when tied.

Any free or paid patterns you’d recommend? Also open to yarn suggestions for a nice bright red in fingering weight.
