Just washed her yesterday and she looked so good sitting in the sun. ‘24 XSE I honestly thought I would be underwhelmed by this car but turns out she keeps on impressing me every day.

How much do you think this will cost? :(

I was backing into a parking space and misjudged the space between myself and the car next to me on my drivers side. As a result I scraped their rear bumper with my driver side door. The driver of the other car has a white newer Camry and there was also paint transfer and scraping. I gave them my insurance and we exchanged contact info. The Camry driver let me go since it appears to only be a paint transfer and there wasn’t a dent from what he can see albeit it was still dark. However, he said he will check it out in the daytime and if there is a dent then he’ll contact me. I still asked him to also let me know if there are any issues with sensors as I’m sure electronics can go haywire even with a tap.

Luckily on my end this is the only damaged I incurred. No sensors went off or the like (my mirror got knocked back but the pressure was no more than the brushes going against it at a car wash) and my tires are fine. I stopped just in time before that happened.

I’m so bummed out. It’s a 2026 Corolla. Also my first accident. Anyone know how much this will cost? I’m thinking of seeing what’s wipeable and just go over what’s still remaining with a touch up pen. But I will definitely go to a body shop as it’s a 2026.

12th Gen (18-present) First time owner, new corolla. Scraped by a pillar while backing into parking spot. Are repairs required, and if so, what do I do to fix it?

As title suggests. The last two pictures are after me wiping the damaged area with a little water and a soft cloth. Last picture is a close up of the damage.

Do I need repairs or is it something I can accept and let go? Thankfully nothing happened to the rear door.
If repairs are required to avoid future issues (not sure if it’ll cause structural issues, I live in a wet area and read somewhere scratches might lead to rust?), what is required and how do I go about it??

I live in the US, if anyone knows estimated cost of repairs, please do share.

Thanks!

ToyotaCare Plus eligibility.

I recently cancelled my extended warranty from CNA for my Toyota Corolla LE Hybrid, because I found out I could get ToyotaCare Plus for much cheaper and at a later time.

I did some quick research and found that '27 model Toyotas have a much stricter eligibility than the '26 models....

The more you know!! 🌈

Any solution?

Hello, I just installed an after market radio in my 2016 Corolla due to my radio going out. I have ran into some issues, there are a bunch of codes on my dash. My speedometer does not work, and it is not counting my miles. I have went through and checked the fuse box, everything is good there, also check the speed sensors since it’s throwing an ABS code. All good there aswell. Someone please tell me how to fix this?

11th Gen (13-18) Are all weather mats really easier to clean than carpet mats?

I switched to all weather mats mainly because I wanted something easier to deal with, and so far they’ve been pretty low effort to clean. For anyone who has used both, do you actually notice a big difference when it comes to cleaning?

9th Gen (00-09) Took out starter relay and put it back in and now car works

Title. Just checking if I should do anything else. Car wouldn’t crank, but seemed to have battery. I took the starter relay out then put it back in and now it seems to crank again but the crank sounds kind of rough. I’m ordering a cheap little backup relay in case the one I have causes problems again. Should I look out for any other issues?

I noticed one of the metal prongs on the relay had turned black, so I’m wondering if I should go so far as to buy a legit Toyota replacement, but I’m not sure if that’s necessary

11th Gen (13-Present) Is this idle vibration normal after replacing engine mounts? (2013 Toyota Corolla S)

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with idle vibration on my 2013 Toyota Corolla S and wanted to see if anyone has dealt with something similar. When idling, there’s a noticeable vibration in the cabin/steering wheel. Key symptoms: The lower the RPMs go, the harder it vibrates. It vibrates significantly more when put into Drive (D) or Reverse (R) while holding the brake.
When coming to a complete stop, the RPMs drop slightly and the vibration worsens. It vibrates MORE when the A/C is OFF. When the A/C is turned ON, the ECU bumps up the RPMs slightly and the vibration decreases. What I’ve already done: I recently replaced the engine and transmission mounts, but the vibration is still there.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Anybody of you had this dillema ? I dont want to open the A pillar and accidentally setting off the airbags. Ive been seeing posts regarding the clip thats hard to reinstall when you remove the pillar. I wanted to tuck it just on the side of the pillar and two cords of both front and rear cant seem to fit like theres no space to even push both in cause the pillar is so snug to the endlges of the windshield.

This is driving me crazy cause car audio shops charge 300$ for installation. Send help on how you did it lol!

Added an oil catch can. Drastically reduces oil in intake. Could also indirectly help out the EGR.

Lifted Corolla. I need that ground clearance.

Lifted the Corolla using Prius offroad lift. With only 5.1'' of ground clearance I was scraping the front bumper on ramps and driveways. The lift gained around 1.25 to 1.5'' of ground clearance front and rear.

Looking for recommendations for seat covers for my new 27 hatchback SE upgrade. I'd like something water resistant or waterproof, because I'm in Canada getting snow in the vehicle during our winters is pretty unavoidable. Any good recommendations?

11th Gen (13-18) Help me build my exhaust ples 🙂

Hey I’m looking into getting an exhaust system on my 2014 Corolla s. I have already decided I’m most likely going to go with this borla exhaust system and am deciding if and what I should do about my manifold. Before anyone asks yes it’s a cvt and yes I know that one could argue it’s not ideal for an exhaust system but idc eat my butt. If anyone has any suggestions I’m happy to hear them. I don’t plan on doing much more to it at the moment, I would like to lower it but the rear alignment is so overly fucked that I’m not sure how that would even fare. I would like to fix that but thanks to the solid rear axle beam, that would involve replacing the entire rear suspension subframe and would cost thousands just for the same thing to happen again. So if anyone also has any suggestions for the I’m all ears. At the end of the day though this post is mainly about suggestions for a manifold for my 2014 corolla s.

Bought my first brand-new car and already having buyer’s remorse. Please tell me you love your Corolla Hybrid! 🥹

I picked up my first brand-new car yesterday, a 2027 Corolla Hybrid XLE in Wind Chill Pearl for $31,2K OTD. 🤍

I’ve always driven used cars before, including Corollas, a Camry, and a Honda Fit, so this was a pretty big purchase for me.

I rented a Corolla Cross for a while and seriously considered getting a small SUV. But I realized how much I missed the smooth ride of a sedan, less body roll, and that feeling of hugging the road.

When I finally drove my new Japan built Corolla, I absolutely loved it. It was so smooth and comfortable, and I really liked the interior and all the XLE features.

I also considered a Camry Hybrid, but honestly, I didn’t want the extra length of the Camry. I prefer something a little more compact and easier to maneuver.

Most of my driving is commuting to work, running errands, and occasional weekend trips. I love hiking and exploring, but realistically, I don’t need an SUV every day. I figured I could always rent one or even a camper for the occasional adventure.

And yet, here I am, wondering if I should have gotten a Corolla Cross Hybrid, a Camry, or even a Prius instead. 😅

I think part of it is that SUVs seem more popular and adventurous, and I sometimes worry that a Corolla is too ordinary. Which is silly because I genuinely love driving it!

Maybe it’s just the feeling of spending this much money on my first new car and wanting to make sure I made the right decision.

How do you feel about your Corolla Hybrid after owning it for a while? Any regrets about not getting something bigger, or are you happy you went with the sedan?

I’d love to hear your experiences! 🤍
