I know this account is brand new, but my old one got permanently banned and I just need a place to vent right now, so, I made this one today. Before I go any further, this post might be potentially triggering for some people, because of mentions of SA, pedophilia and trauma. I would also encourage you not to read this if you can't handle emotionally complex/ nuanced topics. This is going to be quite long so no one would probably read this, but here it goes anyway:
I'm an extremely sensitive person and I always feel like I'm at the brink of going insane. It's not uncommon for me to break down crying when a small inconvenience happens (like when my pen rolls off the table.) I know the reason for my reaction actually has nothing to do with the pen itself: sometimes my emotions just build up and overwhelm me until I snap. I think I'm capable of thinking rationally and understanding myself, but my strong emotions make it impossible for me to actually do that.
From the ages of 5 to 11 years old, I've experienced prolonged bullying from many people. I was bullied in multiple places (school, sunday school, in my school van- to name a few.) My bullies would steal my things, pick on me like I was a living joke, exclude me, intimidate me and force me to do things, rub out everything I write, tell me I was worthless, tell me my tears don't matter when I cry, suddenly act nice only to take advantage of me, spy on me changing clothes and grab my butt, rub their sweat on me, squish me, etc. The bullying left me feeling humiliated and inferior. Due to this, I've felt like an alien for most of my life.
My parents were emotionally absent for much of my childhood, and it often felt as though they didn't exist. My parents used to be very busy and travelled all over the country. Even when my dad was free, he was more interested in his phone than in spending time with me. When I used to ask him for attention, he became angry and shouted at me. At home, I also experienced physical and verbal abuse, all of which my parents deny even happened because they believe their actions were justified.
To name a few things my parents did, they belittled and laughed at me when I cried, told me they wanted to erase me, hit me for making mistakes, told me they would hit me till I bled, mocked me, repeatedly insulted me, and sometimes my dad pretended like he was going to hug me and when I went near him to be loved, he hit me instead. My dad had unpredictable outbursts because of his anger issues. I was usually hit on the head and spanked. I was barely hit with a belt or cane.
By the age of 9, I began feeling extremely mentally unwell. I had developed h0micidal thoughts towards my bullies and my parents and wanted to be a serial k1ller (I know this is not okay and I do not encourage or glorify this at all !) At this age, I even tried to end my own life. I screamed silently for the entire world to hear me, but no one did. I was alone. I imagined my parents finding my dead body and crying out loud. Imagining this made my 9-year-old self, smile. I thought I would rather commit suicide and burn in hell because I somehow managed to reach the conclusion that hell was barely different from earth. I considered running away from home around this time as well, but I decided not to and instead started maladaptive daydreaming about being famous and loved as a coping mechanism.
I kept all the things that happened to me a secret from my parents when I was a kid as I felt like they would punish me and blame me if I told them anything. I didn't tell them about any of the following: the bullying, the sexual abuse I went through, OCD I had about disasters and about people around me dying, the rituals I had to perform to prevent those horrible things from happening, the philosophical and nihilistic thoughts about existence I've been having since I was 6 which gave me depression at 7 (I was actually thinking about things like the Theseus's paradox when I was 6 years old), the religious trauma, the anxiety I had about burning in hell for making mistakes, my porn and gore addiction, being trans, having bulimia and eating issues, self-harm, being radicalized by f*r right content, seeing hallucinations of ghosts and hearing voices in my head, etc.
Now because of my experiences, I've become increasingly detached from other people. I've had no friends for 4 years, went to 5 different high schools and moved houses several times. My online friends also left me because of who I am. I feel like I'm from somewhere far away from earth. I feel homesick. I'm longing to be loved but never trusting anyone to love me. Recently, I read a few chapters of 'No longer human' by Osama Dazai and wanted to cry because of how relatable it was. I feel like there are two different people inside me- someone who's deeply evil and another person who is deeply empathetic. I feel like I am capable of doing exact actions 'evil' people would do.
I can make 99% of the population hate me and think I deserve death by saying 4 words. When I was 6 years old, I was sexually touched multiple times by a 10-year-old girl and sexually abused and almost raped by a 15-year-old boy. Because of this and my early exposure to pornography at 10, I believe I developed pedophilia (attracted to 4–6-year-olds). At 14 I figured this out. I'm 16 now. I feel like my age has been stuck since I turned 6 for whatever fucking reason. Barely anything mental changed during puberty because I've been getting sexual fantasies since the youngest age I can remember. To clarify, pedophilia is a mental illness- not a crime. Predators are the ones who act on their desires. I am not a predator, and I have not done any harm to children. At first, I thought I had POCD but then I realized I didn't and my therapist and ex-therapist also agreed with me. I know it's wrong and disgusting, but I genuinely can't help it. I masturbate to fantasies of kids in my mind and it's hard for me to get help because when I first opened up to my ex-therapist, she looked at with me with a disgusted and disturbed look and became concerned quickly. And for the cherry on top, she also added 'I'd have to break confidentiality if you were a pedophile.' So, because of that I'm scared to honestly talk about the way I feel without being judged to any professional or to anyone.
My SA was dismissed because my perpetrators were children. It hurts to be seen as a monster for reacting to my trauma in a 'bad' way and developing a paraphilia instead of just being a normal victim. People think I deserve death for having thoughts but think the people who actually hurt me should get away with it. And I hate it when some survivors say 'I went through the same and I didn't turn out like that'. Two twin brothers can grow up in the same abusive household and go through the same trauma, and one might react to the trauma differently by involuntarily developing NPD while the other twin brother might react to it by developing BPD. The same things can hit different people differently. I understand why people might react so aggressively to pedophiles even if they are non-offending because a child's safety should always be prioritized than a potential abusers feelings but it still hurts. Being shamed just makes it worse.
I have watched many bad things (I've never watched real CSAM) but I've still watched other shit, and I feel so evil for that. I don't know why I'm like that. I'm so complex. I can enjoy others pain. My current therapist called me a sadomasochist and I agree. I enjoy the most depraved and disgusting things (including necrophilia) and imagining hurting innocent beings. That's how far my 'evil side' extends to but guess what? I've also cried over Palestinian children, animals, homeless people etc at night because I empathize with them. I don't know wtf is wrong with me. I'm not even being performative because I actually care. But sometimes I'm also completely heartless. Please can someone tell me what's wrong with me? I don't think even the most trained psychologists can figure it out. I have laughed watching certain disturbing footage and cried watching others. I don't know why. I'm so fucking insane.
I absorb other people's words even if they aren't directed at me and treat them like they are and feel personally attacked. With this amount of sensitivity, I have no idea, how I ended up like this. I don't want to be like this at all. I hate myself so much. I don't think I deserve to live. I'm a horrible person :(
