...but not for me. Black resigned on the following turn, which was probably a mistake as even though the computer gives white +5 I don't trust myself not to fumble the bag 😂

Trying to learn the Sicilian defense and I’m getting pretty decent but what to do if whites first move is pawn d4. Should I flip it and attack e4 or just sacrifice my pawn and move to c5 anyway

Recently a lot of players play these moves which I just can't play against, what is the best move in this position?

What's the biggest mistake someone can make? What to avoid, etc.
I'm currently 370 elo in rapid and looking to become 1000+ this year, is it possible?

If Qxg4 then Qxe1#
If Rf1 then Bxd1 Rxf2 Nxf2+ and white is up a rook for a knight
Originally I was losing after a blunder in the opening, but found this nice sequence. Later I blundered back to a draw, and my opponent blundered right back in a pawn race. The joys of 1k elo chess...

49 Days ago, I was in the 400s and made a post titled “Why Am I Still Bad”. I have listened to some comments and I continue to improve. I’ve really been liking playing Vienna opening for white and Caro-Kann for black.
I still don’t actually study any theory or anything but I watch the occasional Gotham Chess video and have a 133 day streak.
Just beat my highest rated player yet (657) and felt proud enough to make a new post. Thank you for your time.

So I reached 1000 like around a week ago (after 3 months) and now I'm 1200.
It has been fairly easy since 800 but now I'm getting sacred cuz I don't wanna go back to 800 once the streak stop lol

as a 700 it really strokes my ego, but it probably wants that. is it accurate to the actual match or are they lying to me to make me play more?

I was playing chess with my friend yesterday, and after around 10 games or so his account was banned. He was playing pretty well, some moves really shocked me and at first I thought he was just improving at the game. But some of his moves were a little TOO good (keep in mind I've played this friends before, I'm estimating he's around 700-800 elo and I rarely lose to him since I'm around 1200 elo). At first, he insisted it was because he "aborted too many games", but I genuinely think he was cheating somehow. His play style was extremely weird too, he would be playing really good and then suddenly make a really bad blunder?? I'm not sure whats going on, but I need you guys' opinion on this:
Here's his account that god banned: https://www.chess.com/member/pandaxpanther123
Here's his main account if it gives any information (this one's not banned): https://www.chess.com/member/pandaxpanther
I don't really know why I'm making such a big deal about this, but he's dragged this on for so long that it's starting to get really annoying.

Import the PNG to lichess here:
Played this guy 3 times, got completely annihilated everytime. I'm not a good player and made some mistakes here. But couldn't help but feel like this was a fairly exceptional opponent
So I recorded the last game and plugged into lichess. Using the max stockfish settings, every single move this person made was in one of the 5 engine moves, without exception. Usually the top or second top with bar a couple.
Usually you get that feeling when an opponent is better than you and it often makes for a fun challenge. Then there are games against like 2000+ that just go completely one sided and are just frustrating more than anything. Then there's games like this.
At what elo do you start playing a top 5 engine move every time? 2300+?
Also guest account, so no idea what their elo is, just 1500+, I'm like 1300, maybe lower these days. This was 3min bullet

At lower elos people don't even defend the pawn what should I do
