Final Thoughts:

It was interesting to do this simultaneously as the fathers list, since there was a lot of overlap of couples. All together there were 13 pairs of husband and wife that made the lists, so pretty much half. The rest were a pretty good spread of sitcom and movie moms.

I've also added an honorable mentions page of some of my favorite nominations that didn't quite make it. The list itself was based on voting, the HMs are based on my opinion.

Just like with the mothers list it was interesting that half of the winners came in a pair (Homer and Marge, Hal and Lois, etc). I also wanted to mention how glad I am that all the winners here (as well as in the other list) are well known particularly for being a parent. There were a few nominations where the character just happened to be a father or mother, rather than it being a core element of their characters, but thankfully those never made it very far with the votes.
