I am Sam Webb. I played Drew Sharp in Breaking Bad. AMA!
I know this is long overdue, but better late than never, right?
To kick things off, here are a few tidbits about my connection to the show:
-My family and I were fans since the pilot, so I was well aware of the significance of it all.
-I grew up minutes from the high school used for J. P. Wynne.
-My dad was an extra in episode 2.02. (my episode was 5.05)
-The first time I ever handled a tarantula was the day we shot the intro scene.
In the years since Breaking Bad, I’ve graduated from UNM with a political science degree and spend most of my free time mountain biking, tinkering with sports cars, and raising my two Dobermans.
Feel free to connect with me on social media!

Ask away! I’ll do my best to get to everyone.
Identity has been verified with mods.
Edit:
Alright guys, as the night winds down I just want to thank everyone for participating and for all the kind words! The Breaking Bad community means the world to me and I’ll be connected to you all for life.
The most surreal part of all of this is the insane butterfly effect and overlaps.
My favorite example of this was seeing Drake perform for the first time in Phoenix a couple years ago. He’s a big Breaking Bad fan (friends with Aaron and Bryan, and his nickname for Rihanna when they dated was Fring). I had tickets close to the stage, and I remember making eye contact with him a few times thinking “dude, you don’t know it, but you know EXACTLY who I am.”
One of my first purchases with acting money was a set of Beats headphones when they were all the craze, and I vividly remember listening to Take Care (and a lot of old Kanye) in my trailer on set during downtime. It felt like a crazy full circle moment.
Anyway, I feel like everyone who is a fellow fan of the show is an extension of this little glitch in the matrix, and I’m happy y’all are a part of this wild story.
I’ll keep answering questions as they trickle in for as long as the mods want to keep the discussion open, and I’ll be more active in this sub and share anything else fun when it comes to mind!

Did you know
Daniel Moncada, who played the infamous Leonel Salamanca in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, now regularly livestreams video games while dressed as his character from the shows. Despite keeping the same iconic suit, bald head and serious appearance, his streams show a much lighter side of him as he laughs, jokes, talks and plays with viewers while streaming. It has given fans a completely different look at the actor behind one of the franchise's most intimidating characters, while allowing Daniel Moncada to continue engaging with the role years after first playing it.
Daniel Moncada known for playing tactical and open-world games like Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto V, DayZ, Fallout, Red Dead Redemption 2, Siege and many more, Cooking and IRL streams.

Walter White poured me a drink
galleryAt Silva in Grand Rapids two weeks back. Dos Hombres is pretty good! I wish it was blue tinted tho. It was pretty surreal seeing Bryan in person. There was a moment where he dropped a glass and he played it for laughs.

How would things have gone differently if Sheldon, from Big Bang Theory, replaced Walter White?
I’m guessing he goes to “negotiate” with Tuco—or in Sheldon’s case, he’s more likely to just lecture meth prices at an uninterested dealer—and just gets shot at the door for being obnoxious, thus ending the series at season 1.

RJ Had a display at NTX Universe, it was beautiful
He was supposed to be there for meet and greets + autographs. Was really excited to meet him actually.
Then well you know. Giancarlo was there, he was really nice and supportive but he kept glancing at the booth and the memorial display put up and you could tell it was affecting him.
Reach out and check on your friends people. You never know.

Just rewatched the S4 finale: The cigarette pack
What if the cigarette pack Jesse had on him had a significantly different amount of cigarettes than the one Huell switched it with?
Walt is really lucky, a lot of things had to go his way for his plan to have worked out in the end.

I never hated Skylar
And I never understood the hate towards her either.
I thought she was a brilliant character - starting out as a total stereotype and gradually progressing over the series to become more nuanced, complex, powerful, sharp, etc overtime.
More people seem to be coming around to team Skylar these days and I just wonder what the hate for her was to start with.
Am I missing something or was it literally just misogyny?

Gus and the bomb
Something that always bothered me: some time after the scene where Gus seems to Spidey Sense the car bomb, there's a scene where his men abduct Jesse Pinkman to force him to cook meth. This was in stark contrast to the time that Walt was visiting Hank in the hospital, and Gus was like, "It's all good bro, take your time. The meth lab will be there when you're ready to come back."
But it finally makes sense. In the Spidey sense scene, Gus figures out that Jesse is working against him, so he decides to take the gloves off. Hence, reducing Jesse to a meth slave.
That's it. That's the whole post. But I think the abduction scene confirms that Gus figured out that something was off and that Jesse was involved. What doesn't make sense to me is why Gus didn't have someone examine the car. They would have found the bomb and confirmed Gus's suspicion that someone was trying to kill him. We know that didn't happen because Walt still has the bomb to strap to Hector's chair later on.
TLDR: Gus abducting Jesse and forcing him to cook meth supports the interpretation that Gus had, in fact, figured out that Jesse was working against Gus - probably during the Spidey Sense car bomb scene.

Walters happy ending? Spoiler
Just finished the show, obviously incredible, is it the consensus that Walt himself arguably had a happy ending. I know that obviously almost everything went south, but especially in his last conversation with Skyler, when he says I did it for myself. Is that not a kind of moment of freedom. Like no longer is it all for nothing(as he says to Walt jr in last phone call with him) but he done it and he loved the feeling it gave him, and the final look at the meth lab was proud, like reminiscing on all he had done. I mean baby blue is perfect. And he was destined to die regardless(probably but obviously didn't get proper chemo), and he avenges hank(to an extent) gets Lydia in the coldest way possible, sets junior and the family up for life(obviously maybe not Skyler due to dea), and dies with an almost smirk(or was I seeing things?)
Sorry if post is a little scruffy I just finished the show and am desperate to talk about it (please no spoilers for el camino or bcs)

Town of Alberquerque - Silly little song I did ages ago
I just stumbled across this again that I did 12 years ago now (scary), when I was very unemployed after university. It's obviously based on Big Candy Mountain. Can't even remember how it came about, but it makes me laugh now. If it brings anyone else any joy, that's a bonus.

Breaking Bad characters ranked by how I would interact with them if I meet them in real life
This contains the main characters, and side characters that I remembered. It's based on how much I like them, how I would interact with them, and I also make sure if they're a bad influence, or dangerous.

Walter’s Downfall Spoiler
The irony of Walter watching Scarface on his TV with W. Jr, is that he was heading toward the very same downfall of Tony. His obsession with money, power, and feeling superior to everyone around him definitely destroyed him. He never understood or knew when enough was enough. Killing Gus should've been his exit, the perfect moment to leave everything behind and start fresh. But Walter didn’t have any necessity anymore, he was driven by his ego and his hurt of being out of the company/relationship he was no longer part of.

[Rewatch] '4 Days Out' is still incredible
Reached this episode on my rewatch...don't know how other people feel but this I thought was the first true 10/10 episode of S2.
We get so much insight into the psyche of Walt, and most importantly into Walt and Jesse as a duo. Their dynamic here was fleshed out more than in any other episode prior (for obvious reasons). And we also get to see things we already knew, but this time by bringing them completely onto the surface. The fact we see Walt facing the last leg of his existentialism - he's at the end of the road - really helps us take an actual peek into how he really feels after everything that's happened. In words, not just in his mind or in expressions.
And the ending being our very first outright confrontation with the fact that this wasn't all just for family, and more importantly - Walt WANTED to die. Because he wanted to go out on a high. Cook, set everything up for his loved ones, and go out on his own terms doing what he felt at home with, living dangerously and excitingly (as Hank once told him to), and being on top of the world.
But the concept of him surviving at the end is haunting for Walt. Its what really kills him. He cannot dare face going back to the "normal" life he once had NOW...after everything he's been through since then. That regular breakfast - school - dinner - sleep? That feeling of mediocrity? A sense of inadequacy? No. Thats what really kills him. And so the ending was him realizing: if he's faced with the prospect of survival...the only way for him to feel alive is he must go back to make a killing.

Big spoiler Spoiler
Did anyone else think it was really random how they portrayed Gus's death, not the way he died but when he walked out with half his face ripped off, the cgi took me out I outwardly laughed at that scene, did anyone else think it was funny? It was just kind of a shift in the show, idk if it was supposed to be funny or if I'm just immature

If Walter stayed in Gray Matter he would have ruined it too?
Alternate universe: the company succeeds before Walter leaves and he stays for the money
Seeing how his big drug empire didn't last even a year because the guy is lousy as a leader of an organization makes me believe that the guy would have screwed up if he stayed in the company
Ok now maybe the young Walter wasn't so broke and the company would have run its course, or it would just be a matter of time for Walter to explode and ruin him in some way by going to another company to ruin it anyway for wanting to be the boss
As far as I know, Walter was the one with the ideas, Eliot was in charge of the business and Gretchen was in charge of giving the money at the beginning, maybe that would screw Walter for not being the one who is in absolute command?

Estou começando a quarta temporada agr e to bem animada.
