Where are all the middle aged mediocre riders at? Im 40 and got into riding a little while back because of my kid but he soon lost interest and now I’m
Riding by myself mostly.
But seriously, have others had a hard time finding people to ride with? I ride local skateparks 3 to 4 days a week and I’ve only come across 1 other adult rider. Usually it’s my poor social skills getting in the way of making friends but I can’t find any riders.
There is a local group of dads that get together and ride old school/mid school bmx bikes around but I’m not interested, as they’re not into doing tricks or anything exciting. They just ride around cycle paths and get lunch. There’s also bmx jams occasionally that attract some older riders. But I don’t feel good enough to hangout with that crowd.

My unsealed bottom bracket and my rear hub keep loosening,anybody know why? I keep tightening the lockring and the rear hub bearing bolts and they still loosen and i have no idea why

Took my son to FISE Shanghai over the weekend to catch the action live. He’s been obsessed with riding lately, so seeing the pros in person was an absolute dream come true for him.

The crowd energy was electric, but the highlight was definitely when he got to take a picture with his favorite rider. Huge respect to all the pros taking time out to chat and snap photos with the younger generation!

I have a cinema fx2 coaster that has just been a problem since I bought it. The bearings are now fully blown and I have a crappy but functional colony clone coaster wheel that has a snapped axle. does anyone happen to know if I could use the cinema axle for the colony wheel?

I've tried a few of these caged ball bearings and they all tend to expand and get loose after a while of tricks. And normal headsets like the Kink Cascade headset obviously won't work. Is there any option where I can get upper and lower cups that will fit a 41.8 x 45° headset like the Kink Cascade or anything that ISN'T a caged ball bearing headset (like the one shown in the last image)?The inner diameter for my headtube is 33.3mm and the outer diameter is 38mm but probably 37 because of the powder coat. Im new to buying and building bmx bikes but not new to riding. This is my first build so I just need a little help with this one, thanks!

It's starting to get cold in our region. The first snow fell the other day. The temperature dropped to -4 at night. It's good that we have an indoor skate park. We're moving there.

Looking for a bike for my kid. He’s 4ft 2in and about 50lbs. I’m thinking a 16” but they’re had to find used around me. I know mfg recommends 18” based on his sizing but I think it would be too big. He’ll be 8 next summer.

Currently races a 20” junior bike but wants to get into park riding as well

Would you hold for a 16? Or just get an 18?

My current crank arms are 175mm but I’m looking to go down to a 160mm to make it easier to get my knees out the way for barspins and x ups among other things, I ride mostly bowls and skateparks/ transition so I’m not pedaling around much at all, is there any disadvantages to going even shorter than 160 and having something that is really short?
For context I broke my back pre covid and only in the last couple of years have I been getting back to riding both bmx and mtb and because of the injury my hip and leg mobility isn’t as amazing as it was before which is making it difficult to get my knees out the way of my bars for the aforementioned tricks. Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations!
Edit: I’ve seen cranks for 16 and 18” bikes as short as 140 and 120mm and I would be looking to go down from a 28t to a 25t or even slightly lower to still have a decent ammount of torque to be able to do tire taps etc
