We started getting out our handful of Halloween decorations the other day, and our void started freaking out over this cheap little supermarket tinsel cat that she has definitely seen before. Two days later and she still catches sight of it sometimes and gets suss on it. Despite the fact that it lives on top of the dryer for the rest of the year.

Her current name is Gigi given by a friend, but we’re wanting to change it. I already have another void named Meeka. I’m feeling human or food related, but am having a hard time deciding. Blackberry seems super cute too.

My little void has become terrified of storms. She used to handle them well, but recently we've had some severe ones and now she's petrified. She will try and growl at the thunder to scare it away. :(

I am pretty handy but have no experience with sound dampening. Has anyone built a soundproof/ sound dampening box for their little one?

Any and all advice is appreciated!

ETA: This will be mainly for when I'm not home and she needs a safe space. Whenever I'm home and a storm is coming I turn on music/ TV and make her a blanket fort (her favorite).

I would keep the blanket fort up all the time, but one of her sisters likes to sleep on top, destroying it.
